10/16/2024 Kick Recap - "The Lang I Know"

Lang wakes up to a text from the Marshalls letting him know he's been subpoenaed. He calls Luciano to meet with the Dons at the butchery. Lang and Luciano are the only ones around, so they spiral in discussion about what they need to do. Sophia was sent the message, so Lang and Luciano think it's really over. Lang tells Luciano about yesterday, preparing him for Zeek's punishment.

Lang suggests a new plan: have Marlo loan them money to buy a super mansion and they'll stash all the operations inside of it. They run to check out the mansions, breaking in through the side doors. They're too expensive, Lang stops by Roosters and they break in the back door. (<:FeelsStrongMan:926915364456128522>) Queenie calls from her burner to check in, Sophia and Teddy were cooking up a plan, so Luciano tries to set up a meeting. They call Clark and go to pick him up at the Paleto fence, and then return to Cypress to pick up Zeek.

Lang drives them to the beach in silence, and has them stand by the water. He asks Zeek to explain what happened, so Zeek re-tells the story again, mentioning that they changed cars and clothes before entering Cypress. They opened the crate and then went to the oil fields to check if they were followed or seen by AIR-1. They were called to go north to help Bubbles, so Clark JOKED to put the crate parts in the Stables. Zeek goes to park the car, and relays the comm over the radio, and that's when Lang yelled at him. Clark tries to clarify that he told Zeek to put it at his house after he joked about the Stables. Lang tells them they're both idiots, and that they both should be shot down as a consequence of their actions. Lang fines them both 125k, and shoots them both in the knees. Lang and Luciano get back in the truck, and Lang runs them both into the water before driving back into town.

Luciano tells Lang he was contacted by an outside organization for a hitman type job, Lang doesn't believe him. Luci adds himself back to the Hideout app so he can cook the fentanyl again, Lang complains about Cypress and the organization. They head to the Silos, and Luciano begins gathering supplies, but hands Lang the folder he got from the Faceless. They're giving Luciano military grade equipment, including a sniper rifle. Lang thinks Luciano is out of his mind, but they get the supplies and head to the boat to cook.

They get the cook done, pick up Arush and then head to Clark's to get the weapon parts from yesterday. On the way, they tell Arush about the Clark and Zeek punishment. They call Sophia to meet, and Lang reads through the subpoena and realizes that they are being haunted by the books. Lang and Arush discuss options, but they don't see one. They head over to the Marshall's office to 'show face', but don't find anyone. They are told people are in a court case, so they head up and watch, Lang takes photos on his phone.

As the Dons leave, they come across Pred and the 404 crew in the city hall lobby. Lang wants to shoot Pred, but Arush asks him not to. Larry comes out and wants to chat, but Lang tells him to check his phone for the subpoena. Lang, Luciano, and Arush stop by the food court. They call Teddy to meet, and head to the new buildings by Legion Square. Teddy arrives and tells them about his SUPER trusted person, he won't even tell the Dons their name. Teddy wants to handle the operations for a few weeks, and cycle them from different properties until things cool down. They want to chat about it, so they let Teddy go.

They are suspicious of losing control to Teddy, and joke about putting everything on Don Corleone while he's away. Lang calls Larry back, and Larry tries to talk Lang down from spiraling, but Lang re-explains how serious it is. Larry tells Lang to talk to Martin and CJ, they might be able to help talk him down. Larry breaks and starts trying to motivate Lang, asking for Leanboi Lang. Lang says he'll handle it.

Lang asks Arush and Luciano for their votes on using Teddy's person. Arush votes yes, Luciano votes no, Lang votes no. They decide to clean out the money and prepare for the raid. Arush offers to get 1-2 properties through Cousin, since he is the safest option at the moment. Arush thinks that Kevin Ram might be an option, Lang tells Arush he has the green light to start the conversation. They joke about getting help from other gangs like the Besties and Hades, too. Arush asks about Wyatt, so Lang calls to meet.

Arush is astonished by all of what Wyatt has built, the Dons get taken to a private office to chat. Wyatt tells them he fired two workers for being sus and being inactive, he thinks one of them stole from him today. Wyatt wants to kill the thief, but he knows he shouldn't do it or he could lose everything. They offer to take care of this problem, Wyatt asks if he can be there for it. They offer to arrange for him to shoot the thief if he wants, but he wants to reflect on the options. Lang and Luciano discuss telling Wyatt the plan for help after he commits the act so they can blackmail him.

Martin and the Dons meet in the Legion Square upper garden where he details the timeline of the raid charges. They clarify that Officer Barrett has to win the appeal for the case to re-charge them for the NEW charges that where changed/added. Lang doesn't think anything is wrong, and they should let the appeal play out, likely so he loses. Next, Martin tells them that Teddy has his own moonshine operation and has been selling it to other gangs to push for clean cash. The Dons are fine with it, assuming trust with Teddy, but remember in case it's relevant later.

They head back to Silos for another cook, and then to Azul to look for bullets. Arush tries out the equipment Luciano got for the mission, mentioning that Lang is half-demi-god since he's only half glowing under the thermals. Arush asks to take ownership of the red trailer so he can keep the captains moving product and money, Lang agrees. They head to City Hall to get it transferred and get keys, Lang paid 145k in taxes. They head back into the courtroom for the verdict of the case they were watching earlier. The defendant is guilty of manslaughter of killing Vic Hanna.

Arush and Lang start shouting obscenities and threats, a fight breaks out in the courtroom causing Lang to flee. He grabs his truck and tries to save Arush, but seems caught. Lang calls Luciano, and goes back to pick them both up. Macgregor and friends try to press Lang for stealing their truck, but they confuse Lang's with theirs. Lang drives off, Arush goes to bed. Lang lingers to try and shoot Officer Shiesty, crashing into his car outside City Hall.

Luci calls Clark to hunt down the cop who lost the case in prison, Lang says they're going to prison to kill him themselves. Luciano drops supplies at the Silos, and mentions that he should have enough bricks for a Hot Run by end of week. They get changed and grab a plane, Clark and CJ arrive to go along. Andi calls to confirm they're willing to pay for the decorations, Lang gives her an unlimited budget since they're rich. On the ride, they discuss where to land that will help get them in AND out. Lang lands dangerously, but the plane still works. They find a Lifer who is watching them and use him as a guide.

-
Lang hands off a bunch of joints and tries to get the Lifers to create chaos. After shooting down the Warden, the cop, and the witnesses, they run to the plane and try to fly out. Lang clips a light pole and the plane breaks, so they pivot to a prison bus. They can't find an escape route, so they call Zeek and Skipper to bring a vehicle to one of the towers, for them to jump out and survive the fall. Lang, CJ, Clark, and Luciano hide in the tower and wait, hearing the gunfire from the nearby riot.

The cops push the tower and they try to shoot it out, but Lang and the crew go down. They plead guilty and attempt to spit on Officer Cade and Barrett. The cops want to run the guns, so they send a few officers down to handle it, Ventura stays to keep watch while they wait for the charges. Zeek is caught and joins the group in the shit talk of the cops. Lang and Luciano try to get Ventura to uncuff them, but he refuses. Barrett antagonizes them, and they continue the spitting.

Lang pleads guilty and heads to bed.
