10/17/2024 Kick Recap - "Soft Serve Cannonfodder"

Lang stops by the Silos to get ammo, finding Harry who rode a bike over. Lang recaps Harry poorly, and they talk shit about Arush and Luciano. Arush calls Harry from prison, Lang tells him to meet at visitation. Arush thinks Lang gained weight, they want to talk when he gets out later. Harry thinks Arush said the sub crews were cleaning their own money, Lang doesn't think that's right. On the way back into the city, Lang crashes into a cop and continues like nothing happened. Harry wants a bite to eat, so they stop by the food court and insult the noodle stall for their banner. Lang opens up Frank's and they work a short shift until storm. They choose who they want to serve, and spit on the customers they don't want to serve. Harry wants to vote, so they stop by city hall and do that before storm.

tsunami hits

Lang calls Luciano to meet and finds him in the Silos, they have ammo. Luci tells Lang that Barrett was making comments last night about the addresses of the Silos, and the spiraling begins, again. They pick up Harry, and he wants to speak to Andi from a payphone. Lang and Harry call Luciano soft, Luciano calls Harry a 'yes man'.

Lang drops Harry to a payphone to call her, Clark calls to update the Dons about Hades. Harry returns to the car, telling them to go meet Andi. Clark recaps a Hades hostage story where they are upset a member was taken hostage for a 24/7 store. Clark tells them the agreement was no leadership hostages, but they disagree. Lang speaks up and calls the agreement bullshit, Luciano tries to argue, but they tell Clark to leave before they continue. Luciano argues that Lang says one thing, and then does another. Lang explains that he calls the crew 'cannon fodder' to HIM, but not to the world.

They arrive at the beach to meet Andi, Lang flips the truck one turn away from the meeting spot. Andi questions them about what's going on, Harry tries to dodge by saying he lost his phone. Lang admits to the subpoena, and they have a short talk about how that might affect things. Andi actually wanted to chat about what they wanted in their offices, Lang tells her to put teddy bears and soft things in his office as sarcasm. They waste a lot of time making sarcastic jabs at each other, Andi tells them they need therapy. They finally give her real answers, Arush calls and Harry pings him over to the beach. Harry stalls by detailing his aquarium based office, Arush arrives and asks for a hobbit hole. Andi tells them that Gigi's office might be bigger than one of theirs, and they argue that wouldn't look good. Arush tells them that he's going to tear down the decorations. Andi claims that after speaking to most of the women in Cypress, they run the operations. They thank Andi for her time, and she leaves.

The Dons head to the butchery to have a finance meeting with Gigi. Lang makes more jabs about Hades and the 'soft agreement' they made. They get to the butchery and argue about the Hades hostage issue again, Gigi arrives and they make her wait while they continue. They talk out the issue, but stand on business about not allowing Hades to pick and choose who they want to take hostage.

Finance Meeting with Gigi

Gigi gives them numbers for last week: Vito 634k, Martin 420k, Clark 386k. Total brought in was 3m, kickbacks are 2.2m, 400k in profit. The Dons are disappointed that they made 400k, Lang is willing to walk away from the crew over it. Gigi has a full audit of Vito and Sakura's crew since they started the sub crews, and breaks down each member's earnings (2:06 VOD, I'm not writing all of those numbers down). Arush gives numbers to Gigi for Lang's payouts and the taxes he's paid. Lang is owed 645k, Harry and Luciano are owed 180k, Arush is owed 150k. Harry wants a small bonus for the work he put into Frank's, so Gigi agrees to give him an additional 70k. Gigi reminds them to inform her of the fines.

Gigi leaves, and the Dons revisit the earnings conversation. Lang complains about the size of the crew, suggesting to slim down entirely to the size of the Hideout app. Most of them agree, but no official vote was made. Arush mentions that Sophia might want to start doing crime, Lang reminds him that she was very adamant about being a clean person. Harry clears his throat and everyone notices that Sophia is in the room, Lang laughs that he might not have been as quiet as he thought. They make Arush lead the conversation with her, and she just wants to talk about selling the Silos off to someone else to prevent chain raids. Arush suggests Hector, but Lang considers anyone else. They side bar and option Big Joe, but decide on Fredo. They tell Sophia of the decision, and remind her that she is very valued to their crew.

They decide to slim down the crew to only S-Tier members, Harry wants to talk about crews cleaning their own money, and Arush agrees. Lang has him explain what he means, and Arush clarifies that they don't have their own washers, they just handle Guber and washed cash on behalf of Gigi. They are told that cops are in Cypress, so they run out of the butchery and check on the pushers. They assume the cops were spooking them, and get told by Coco that a light blue car was leading cops on a chase through Cypress.

Lang and the Dons discuss having to cut people they like, simply because they create drama or stopped working hard. Fredo calls, they pick him up at the hospital. Nino passes them and Tilly gives them political memorabilia. They take Fredo down to the Silos to meet Sophia and make the property sale. They press Fredo for a thing he didn't do, Luciano explains the deal they're making and the pressure he'll have. Fredo understands and agrees to be the new owner of the Silos. They chat about Fredo's time being a therapist, and his history with Arush at Snr Buns. Fredo gets ownership and adds everyone to the panel. They drop Fredo back to the hospital and wish him well.

Officer Shiesty calls to antagonize Lang and make fun of Cypress, Lang threatens him and hangs up. Lang goes through the Hideout list and reads Luciano his cuts, they cut down to 18 people. Lang, Harry, and Luciano prepare for a fentanyl run. Lang calls Sakura to join, but she has a court case soon. Luciano calls Octo for the job, Zeek is around, and is told to get ready. Clark calls, walking out of the hospital with no memory, but had bullets and shrapnel in his shoulder. Lang yells at him for doing jobs with Rat King and reminds him that he's useless. Lang tells Clark he's on the job, and to get ready.

Fentanyl Hot Run

Lang, Octo, Harry, Luciano, Clark, and Zeek gather equipment and vehicles for the run. Lang gets pulled over when he picks up the drone, but the officer let's him leave. Lang and Octo find the car, Luci loads up the bricks, and they begin the run. After a few fails, Lang is able to get the first drop off in Paleto. Lang trades the first brick for 99k washed, and drops it for Clark to pick up. Clark grabs it and plans to put it in the Red Trailer. Lang gets the second hack done, but they crash into a Hydra car at high speeds and the cops catch up. They have to lose the cops before they go to the second drop off, but Officer Shiesty accidentally pits them, Lang ejects and goes down. Zeek picks him up, Octo's car goes out and Harry picks him up. After some time, Zeek's car goes out. Zeek repairs the car and they struggle to get into the sewers. A small shoot out happens, Lang gets grabbed by Luciano and is taken to the sewer doctor. Harry confirms that Octo got cuffed, but Harry goes down in the sewers, and the rest of the group tries to decide what to do next. Lang, Clark, Zeek, and Luciano adventure through the sewers to find an exit or more cops. They get into another shoot out with cops, Lang and Luciano go down. Zeek tries to get ammo from Lang, but Lang scuffs to him. Zeek runs around until Lang heads to bed.
