10/24/2024 Kick Recap - "How Ya Doing, Pal?"

Lang picks up Arush and they drive up to Paleto, Arush asks if getting some money from Gigi would be approved to work on organizing his system at the red trailer. Gigi calls, so Arush asks her to meet at the Vinewood Bowl. They head over, Lang mentions to Arush that he had a regretful dream about killing Tommy DeVito.

Gigi arrives, Arush updates her about the new structure plan, and the potential of changes affecting her operations. Gigi prefers the change since one crew management is better than handling numbers for 5 crews. Gigi suggests a higher cut percentage for captains since they can't earn a portion of what their members beneath them make. Gigi will put aside money for budgets still, but they'll have to revisit how they want to handle it. Arush asks for 125k to organize the red trailer, Gigi approves it. Gigi informs them that Coco called to check the numbers and Gigi realized that Clark's crew is missing 2-3 weeks of earnings since they didn't hand in numbers on the weeks Clark was punished for not being paid. Arush asks Gigi if she wants to come along for the hot run today, she tells them about the assassination they did over the weekend with Luciano. They joke about not believing the story, but the storm approaches so they leave.

Arush proposes giving Gigi an official role change to Consigliere since she is a valuable asset and organized. Lang thinks it's a good idea, they'll consider it going forward.

Tsunami

Lang runs into Officer Peters at the apartments, who wants to speak on Lang's need to kill Den Shiesty. Peters understands Lang's frustration with the mistreatment of his organization, but Lang drives off still angry about it. Lang calls Luciano and tells him about the dream, Luciano agrees and says that he's being haunted by similar thoughts. Lang goes to pick him up, and Luciano jokes about whether Tommy deserved it or not. Lang and Luciano stop by the Silos and Luciano thinks it's funny that Lang is in so much pain over this. They stop by the Stables, but want to make preparations for the hot run. Octo calls so Luciano reminds him to be around for the hot run, later. They stop by Azul to look for oxy, but can't find any. Luciano tells Lang that he spoke to Robin last night about the thousands of texts and the list of the clean people the Marshall's have. Lang is upset, so they drive back into the city to have a Don meeting about it.

They pick up Harry and Arush in Cypress and Lang tells them about this dream, Arush is glad he is experiencing emotions. They meet the contact to do oxy runs, Luciano has to take a quick nap so they watch the locals shoot a mountain lion while they wait. Lang chases down a local for their stolen vehicle but crashes into the lake. Everyone splits off and starts their own run, but Lang, Harry, and Luciano all get sent to the same alley. Harry's van scuffs out and disappears with his product, so he joins Lang as he finishes the run. They return to Silos to get prepped for the hot run.

Fentanyl Hot Run

Lang and Harry want to shoot down AIR-1, so they make Gigi ride with Octo to do the hacks. Arush goes to get a VPN for the hacks, Harry calls Donnie for some lockpicks. Luciano discovers that radios don't work in the water anymore. Luciano adds everyone to the job and they begin. Gigi completes the first hack, Octo loses the cops in 3 seconds, and they make the first drop off. They leave the 100k in a bush and ping Luciano to it, he grabs it and stashes it in the trailer. Gigi completes the second hack, Octo loses the cops, but they can't see the client. Lang and Harry are chased into the canals by the cops, Lang crashes and flips, so they hop out and shoot at the cops, but get shot down. Kitty patches them up at the hospital, and they hear a boat horn. The cops take Lang and Harry up to the BCSO station and make small talk on the way.

The cops tell Lang and Harry that their weapons have charges from over 6 months ago. Lang and Harry get 55 months, and get sent to jail. After spitting in the Warden's food, Lang runs into Cloak's sister who wants to chat about the issues they had with the Night House. Lang promises to root out the snakes and get to the bottom of the issue, Harry brings an old lady to fight Lang. Lang karate chops the warden and then fights the DOC guards until he's caught again. Lang gets returned to his cell to clean up, but he uses the toilet instead. Lang begs to be freed from his cells, and then knocks out the DOC guard that comes to check his toilet.

Lang robs the guard and meets Harry at visitation, handing off the taser while they fight the guards. Lang and Harry go down again, Lang tells the guards that this was a paid hit issued by Luciano DiCenzo. They get helped by the DOC doctor, who is Queenie's sister. Lang invites her to join Cypress, but she would rather help the patients in jail. They ask Lang about his eye, he claims it's permanently shut from pink eye. He spits at the Warden, the Warden offers to release them if they reform. The Warden blames them for the death of Crisp P. Bacon, the pig that he had as a pet. They uncuff Lang and Harry so they can dig a grave, Lang and Harry sing while they dig.

They get released and run into Delver and Bjorn in the lobby. Gigi brought the limo to pick them up, Luciano tells them that Martin found a white card, and that Nino wants to meet about the license for Dank's. As they drive back into the city, they quote Tommy Devito. Luciano tells them he read the texts from the subpoena and that he's disappointed in everyone. Luciano suggests running a Cypress event where they have a guessing game about who sent what text. Gigi suggests preventing Sophia from entering illegal properties, but Lang assumes she's already burnt so it doesn't matter.

Lang gets changed at the Stables, they head back out to go meet with Nino. Martin calls to hit the jewelry store, but they are busy in a meeting and Lang doesn't have time. They arrive at the Kortz Center to meet Nino and Wyatt. Nino tells them that they plan on legalizing dispensaries soon, and opening new business operations like a job board for people to get tasks done for civilian needs. Nino offers to make them 'win the bid' and provide a correct offer number that makes sense, and he'll just make it look like everyone else's bid was less than that. Nino asks about their beef with Officer Shiesty, they agree that his job is necessary, he only oversteps sometimes. Luciano asks if they can request money from the administration for events, or for materials to get things made for businesses - which they can do. Luciano takes calls to hand off something to Martin, and Lang gets frustrated that he can't sit still for the meeting he brought them to.

They leave the meeting, Harry complains about not knowing all the members of the crew, they tell him it's his fault. Lang complains to Luciano about his ACDC during meetings, comparing him to Tony. They stop by Dank's and notice that Sophia decorated it beautifully, so Lang calls to compliment her work. They return to Cypress, Luciano wants to have the Hydra meeting for the cargo heist weapons. Lang and Harry politely remind Luciano that Hydra is a group of snakes and being civil with them might be dangerous, Lang reminds him of how he dealt with Raymond Romanov. Luciano complains that Lang makes things up and then believes them, without actually listening to the facts. Lang wishes him luck with the meeting, he is still interested in finding shotgun shells.

Lang heads to bed.
