10/31/2024 Kick Recap - "Non-Profit Mob"
Lang grabs food and spends the morning in his new office. He meets Arush in his office, and they discuss how poor Arush is. Arush tells Lang about how they shot up Gambit, a new group. Arush told Cypress not to press too hard, but to make sure they are respected, they might hit ADMC since they share the same turf. Next, they find Gigi in the Factory, and discuss properties and money management. Gigi lists all the properties to them and they decide on their purpose, as well as what to let go of. Arush and Gigi chat about what process works best for the money going forward. Lang reminds them that whatever process they decide on should be easier for the captains, who have expressed disinterest in spending time handling input and output of money.
tsunami hits
Lang heads to the Silos and tries making supplies, but has no materials. Chatterbox calls from jail to threaten Lang, Lang promises to meet him when he's free to fight, because he's not afraid of the clowns. Lang picks up Luciano and drags him to a shift of sanitation after complaining about how down bad they are. They reflect on the good times being the good times after they've passed.
Liya calls to show Lang a property she owns right beside Dank's, and offers to use it as the growing warehouse. Lang complains about being poor, they all joke that Liya has more money than them. Lang and Luciano start the shift of sanitation, but Clark calls claiming he heard a boat. Lang and Luciano don't have a lot of supplies, but they want to attempt it anyways.
Different clowns keep calling Lang to threaten him on behalf of all the clown disrespect. Lang takes an unknown call from a haunting Tommy DeVito. Lang thinks he's cursed and must hold a funeral for Tommy to save himself. Luciano starts getting similar calls, so they agree to bail on the cargo ship and start rounding people up for a funeral. Sophia calls to say she got materials for the crew, Lang asks for her help to prepare the funeral.
Lang and Luciano stop by the sanitation yard to make a deal with someone, still being haunted by calls from Tommy's ghost. They spot Martin and Larry in their Halloween outfits and judge them. Lang recognizes the person selling them materials, and they chat about his heritage (He looks like Avon). Luciano doesn't understand, and Lang doesn't explain it. They get changed and head to the cemetery for the funeral. Lang finds 4 caskets lined up in the middle, and they decide to name all the caskets after people they killed: Stevie, Tommy, John, and Junior. Lang tells Luciano to put "should have been LarrE" on the Junior casket.
Cypress members arrive, Larry notices the label and asks who wrote it, but Lang says they have no idea. Larry promises to find out, and Lang whispers to Luciano in worry that Larry might crash out today. Lang delivers a speech and asks them all to shoot 4 rounds into the sky for the members that have fallen. After, Luciano says some kind words, and Lang asks for a moment of silence. Lang gets an unknown number call during the moment of silence, but ignores it. Thanking everyone for coming, they all leave. Tommy's ghost calls back and requests two more deaths for his own, Lang tells Luciano and they stress about what to do.
They head back to Cypress and craft some supplies, Lang asks about the quality of the bricks and they decide to get a hot run started. Luciano calls Clark to gather up Larry, Octo, and one more for the group. Larry is crashing out over who did it, Lang calls him to rile him up. Osvaldo calls to threaten Lang on behalf of the clowns. Lang calls Luciano to warn him, they might have to sacrifice someone so that Larry takes them out. Luciano suggests gaslighting Larry into thinking he read the name wrong, Lang races back to the cemetery to change the name to "HarrE".
