11/04/2024 Kick Recap - "Cypress Waters & Consequences"

Lang is afraid to drive his truck in such bad condition, so he looks for a mechanic to repair it. Lang calls Donnie to help, and runs into Fiona outside of Mosley's. Harry is with Arush in Cypress, Luciano is around for a little while before taking the week off. Lang meets with them at the Factory (farming warehouse), and they head up to the group office to get a recap of the weekend from Clark. Harry gets distracted running into Yuno and Gigi, catching up. Clark arrives and gives them the recap, while Yuno looks at them nervously from the other side of the room.

Sophia got robbed doing sanitation by the Manor, she didn't tell them she was Cypress. She told clark, who reminded her to declare it next time. Clark went hunting, and fought the Manor, but not many Cypress was around over the weekend. Gigi had a crew meeting, Clark set a quota at 250k per person as a limit tester. The Besties are interested in trading guns and equipment they get from the cargo ship, Yuno sneaks over and greets everyone for the morning. Clark suggests offering the Besties bricks for their hot runs, Luciano explains that it's doable since they always have product going bad. Luciano thinks they could sell 3 for 200k, Lang raises it to 250k. Queenie calls to gather up some medical equipment for Lang, Clark reminds them of how they're organizing the equipment between the trailer and the Silos.

The Dons head down to the Cypress docks for Andi's buy in, nobody is dressed for it. Arush chats about a new cargo heist plan, Lang teases him. They discuss the shotguns, and how Lang gave Ilya his hot shotgun from last week. Harry is surprised that Andi wants to buy in, they agree that this is a simple buy in, and next week or later they'll promote her to the position they have in mind. Luciano calls her down and reminds her to bring 25k. They make fun of the way Arush looks until she arrives.

Andi arrives and is somewhat suspicious, Luciano delivers a powerful speech about what they've observed of her, and what she's observed of them. She questions what her purpose would be for Cypress, but Luciano flips it on her by requesting what she thinks she could do for Cypress. Andi thinks there's a lot to be done, morale to change, work to be had. Luciano makes the offer, Arush reminds her of the commitment to Cypress, and she reminds them of her time with HOA as she accepts. Andi hands over 25k to Harry, Harry quietly thanks her for the office, and Lang has her jump into the water for her blessings.

Lang wants to have her onboard with the crew, but Andi is impatient so she wants to speak to them about plans right now. Andi planned a Lucky Plucker event for Larry, and wants Cypress' assistance to boost morale for certain people in the crew. She wants to change the depressing vibes, and wants to host a Thanksgiving in the Factory. They are excited and happy to have her ideas, she asks them for the leadership structure and who she's reporting to. They offer her Clark and Gigi to speak to if she can't reach the Dons, and to get caught up on all the Cypress tea from Gigi since she's aware of most things and they are very forgetful. On her way out, Andi asks for warehouse payment and reminds Lang that she wanted a shotgun.

Luciano heads to bed, Lang, Arush, and Harry continue their day. Clark radios that he spotted a military convoy so they chase it to Grapeseed. Arush pulls up in front and they hold it up, but shortly begin shooting. They discover it's actually Chaos Legion, and Cypress steals everything they have in hopes that the conflict coming was worth while. Cypress regroups and discusses the miscommunication, Clark said he couldn't know it was Chaos Legion at a glance. The Dons roll out and discuss the mistake, but accept the consequences of their actions.

Lang, Harry, and Arush head up to Paleto to meet with Nino. Pred calls to complain about that Lang never books meetings with him, and they remember that Pred is mayor of the north. They meet with Nino and he tells them about his current conflict with the Marshalls and the DOJ. Nino tells them to have both people managing the growing and the dispensary submit forms separately. He asks them for an ideal bid number, they agree to 500k and are willing to start with just the dispensary first. Nino wants to approve at least 4 total, giving Dank's a little competition. Lastly, he tells them about his plan to rework the food court and inflate the price of food by opening a 24/7 food stall that has higher prices than the others. They leave the meeting and go to regroup with Clark, Queenie, and CJ who are attempting to rob convenience stores.

They don't find a white card at the first store, and on the way to the second Lang crashes into a mooonshine delivery driver who flees. Lang wants to chase him down, but Arush reminds him that he's going to return to the contact for his personal vehicle. They find his car and Arush breaks into the back seat, with the hope to surprise the driver and threaten him for crashing into them earlier. The driver returns, they shoot him down, and he begs to be dumped in the Cypress waters. Lang agrees, so they put him in the truck and take him to the docks off the coast. Lang robs him (takes his phone sim), and dumps him in the ocean.

Arush bleeds out from his wounds in the truck, so they race back to the city and Harry takes him to the sewer doctor. Lang stashes the stolen goods at Silos and checks the texts. Still unsure who they dumped, Lang puts the sim back and meets with Arush and the rest of them in the sewers. Arush jokes that CJ wears shoes in the sewers, but not everywhere else. CJ tells them she had to put shoes on for her disguise, or else she gets foot ID'd - they all laugh about it.

Lang, Arush, and Harry return to the truck and discuss what their next steps are. Lang thinks he's part of the Besties, Arush offers to play dumb about it. They stop by the hospital to observe, and spot the person being picked up. Arush checks the texts and thinks he's just a worker for the Besties, and if shit hits the fan he'll angle that he was pressed by the guy and threaten to do it again. They agree to let Arush handle it and get prepared to hit the jewelry store since Clark found a white card.

Jewelry Store Heist

Lang, Arush, Harry, Clark, Queenie, and CJ gather up equipment for the heist. They grab some scuba gear and head to the bank, CJ hands over the white card to Arush and they find the door is already open. Harry finds a G6 Chip, they think the store has been robbed already. Harry gives the chip to Arush who puts it in his tablet and tries to mark the location of the truck, but it can't find anything. They assume it's been hit, so they decide to turn in the white card for more thermite instead. Queenie tells them about the electronic kit, Arush decides to get that, Harry and Lang question why. In a fit of rage, Lang tries to hit the jump over the train yard leaving the canals, but fails it and blows up the truck.

Clark picks them all up and takes them to the hospital. Harry and Arush argue about testing out the electronic kits, the ghost of Saab asks OG if he has a yelling fetish, OG realizes he's still in discord. The doctors patch them up and get them back on their feet. They decide to get boosting, Queenie gathers up the tools, and they run into Coco who's pushing but lost his voice. They think it's crazy that Coco is trying to push while sick, they lower Clark's earning quota to 100k a person and tell everyone to spread that across Cypress.

They start the boost, Lang and Arush argue, Harry tells Lang that he called the cops anonymously on the boost. Gigi calls to say she's finished the report for tomorrow, and that she left kickbacks in the crates with name tags.

Lang and Harry try to stall so they call Clark to fail a hack, and Lang crashes into Arush a few times. The cops never arrive, so they decide to complete the boost, Queenie tells them they lost 4 BET for the damage they did to the car. Arush heads to bed, Octo calls to check, Lang asks him to be around tomorrow for another hot run.

They meet Octo in Cypress and ask him if he uses his BET for anything, he has 870. Lang wants to open 20 mystery boxes right now for car parts, Queenie tells them she got a certificate, Octo seems interested. Harry repeats the idea about putting parts aside for the job car, Octo is not as enthused. Octo buys a bunch of boxes and Lang opens a few and pulls Stage 3 Coilovers, Stage 4 Dampeners, Stage 1 Breaks, Stage 3 Breaks, a 10mm Turbo, Stage 3 Anti-Roll Bar, a Street Tire, and 2 Dump Valves.

Lang crashes into Marlo during a race through Cypress and ejects everyone. Lang and Clark heard a horn, so they panic to go check, but decide against it after some confusion. Lang heads to the Factory and goes to the meeting room. Lang reminds those who gather that the earning quota was lowered to 100k, to be on a caution from the issue with the Besties, and to keep gathering car parts.

Underboss Meeting

Lang meets with Clark upstairs and they discuss the pulse of the crew, especially the Night Crew. Clark tells Lang and Harry that Queenie does EVERYTHING for the night crew, he never sees Vito, and then gives positive reviews of Matteo, Skipper, Hank, Joe, and a few more. Lang tells Clark that they bought in Andi earlier, and that she'll likely take on problem solving for the crew, including appointing her as 'the Fixer' later on. Lang asks for the captain review, Clark relays that Teddy is always active and helps set up in the morning. He shares that Queenie and Beau step up so much that it feels like Vito and Sakura take a back seat. Lang asks for a solution, and Clark offers appointing Queenie as captain and demoting Vito, but Lang questions Martin's availability to be fair. Clark isn't sure, so he's tasked to investigate more. Lang sees issue with moving Queenie and Ilya up, while moving Vito down since he picked a great Enforcer to carry the load while he's not available. Lang asks about how Joe took the demotion, Clark thinks that Joe was under utilized since he's a mature and smart thinker, and gives great advice. Joe didn't complain about the demotion and just wanted notes so that he could improve, Clark thinks that all the Night Crew suspicion and issues with Santana could have been handled better if they let Joe take care of it. Clark recommends Skipper, but Lang thinks he's an ideal grunt and should remain that way for now. They agree to appointing Queenie and Ilya to Lieutenant, and Clark lets them know that Toro and Capone have been hard vouched by several members of the crew.

Lang takes them to his office and reveals the torture room and jail cell beneath it. Lang heads to bed.
