11/11/2024 Kick Recap - "Everywhere, At All Times"

Lang crashes on his way to Cypress, getting a ride from Liya to get repair kits. After fixing his truck, he picks up Clark, Arush, and Luciano to go catch up. Lang notes that Luciano needs to fix his hair, from afar he looks bald. Luciano joins them and jests Clark for the weekend, Lang and Arush sense drama so they are excited to chat. They head to the docks to have the conversation.

Luciano recaps the weekend: On Friday, they brought Andi and Queenie to a cargo heist and forgot everything that happened, they went back for the Ammunation crate and got the gun parts out. On Saturday, they met with multiple crews to see if they wanted to market the fentanyl bricks for jobs. Later, they killed Luca (ex-associate) for attitude, stealing, texting about business. Luciano begins to have another conversation about Queenie and her attitude, they send Clark away so they can have a Don only chat. Queenie details that while Vito is away, she has sensed that people have encouraged disrespect of Vito because she 'does all the work'. Queenie said that the disrespect comes from the top down, naming Clark as one of the people who said things.

Luciano spoke with Clark after and Clark clarified that it was with people of his level, and it was back when sub-crews were 'competitive'. Luciano distills the conversation to disrespect of Vito and his work ethic, gauging Lang and Arush's opinion. Lang isn't surprised, especially with Gigi's yapping. Luciano thinks that Gigi isn't fit for the role of Consig, especially since they are experiencing issues with sharing information. Lang asks how Queenie is actually feeling, Luciano tells them that she's just felt sick the last few weeks and is more than capable of handling the Lieutenant role.

Lang calls Clark back to get his perspective, Arush asks if Vito knows about the comments, but Luciano thinks that Vito had previous tension with Martin about butcoin related issues that have since been resolved. They don't believe that Vito has any idea that Gigi has spoken disrespectfully behind his back. Clark returns and Lang accuses him of talking shit about Vito. Clark tries to explain what he said, but Lang doesn't believe him. They demand names of the others who talked shit about Vito, Clark tells them that Gigi noted complaints from Vito's crew not being paid out correctly. Lang argues that it's completely fine for Vito to handle his sub crew the way he wanted to, that was the point of being captain. Luciano includes that during his talk with Queenie, she had to spend time going over all the numbers because of the issues they've had before. Lang asks Clark directly if Gigi has been talking shit about Vito to lower members, Clark says only in regards to numbers. Clark tells them that people know not to talk shit around him, expecting him to rat them out. Lang issues Clark to get Zeek to be a rat within the crew, so they can know what's going on at lower levels.

Lang doesn't have an issue with people disrespecting Vito's work ethic, but more so with Gigi's yapping. Arush wants to have a serious conversation with Gigi, and then address the disrespect at the crew meeting. They decide to have a talk with Gigi and let Luciano lead it because Lang and Arush will approach too spicy. They head to the food court to get food, Harry calls and reminds Lang about Arush shit talking him on friday. To continue the stir, Lang tells Harry to plan a meeting with them and he'll bring Arush to it. Lang notices Jamal in disguise listening into his phone call, so they chase him to the parking garage and confirm he didn't hear the entire thing. Lang takes Arush and Luciano to meet Harry by the docks to have a serious conversation.

-
Harry begins the conversation by asking anyone who was talking shit to step forward, Arush is confused but steps up to say he spoke about issues with Harry on friday. Arush tells Harry that they might fight like brothers, but calling each other rats is what they call enemies. Harry apologizes for hurting Arush's feelings, Lang tries to stir some more, but gets outed by Harry for sharing the texts and making Harry think they wanted to demote him. Harry tells them even if they wanted to demote him, they'd have to kill him, and he's not ready yet. Arush recaps the meetings so far, and Harry takes accountability for them building a crew culture that is cut-throat and not based on family or loyalty. They all agree, but they have to 'nip it in the butt', Arush doesn't understand the phrasing and finds it funny.

They stop by Silos to get gear, then they show Harry the new equipment warehouse. Lang calls Clark to get a recap about the crate from friday, completely forgetting that Luciano already told him about it (see above). They head to the Pier to chat with Gigi since she's around. Gigi calls back to say she was taken hostage for a 24/7, they roll out and call Clark to help find her. Clark radios that she's being held at Strawberry 24/7, Lang drives terribly.

They patiently wait while the cops grow suspicious of them for parking outside the store. They yell at the cops who seem distracted by them, until the robbers flee and the chase begins. The Dons discuss where to go next, and they decide to have the meeting at the top of the Jewelry store. rGigi arrives and they begin with the numbers: 5.8m earned, 3~ish in kickback and expenses. Joe over achieved to prove himself, others were scared, so earned less. Top 5: Cuddles, Teddy, Bubbles, Beau, and Donnie. Bottom 5: Larry, Coco, Zahn, Matteo, Dom, Marty (but still over 100k and that's okay). They are interrupted by sports cars driving by, they hide on the roof until they think it's clear.

They return to the discussion with Gigi and Luciano tries to ease the conversation around shit talking Vito and what could have been said. Gigi wants specifics, so Lang mentions the story and asks directly. Gigi explains that all that she ever said was financially related comments, that could have been taken as banter. Otherwise, she notes the Girl's Night tier list comments could have negative implications throughout the crew, so she removed that type of game from being played since the first time. They thank Gigi for her time and send her off, calling Donnie up to chat next. Luciano clarifies the order of structure, and Lang reminds them that during the issues previously Gigi was considered second in command, but while Clark is underboss, he is their second in command until otherwise stated.

Donnie arrives and Lang gives him the space to speak freely about any concerns he has had about his time in the sub crews. Donnie mentions the few issues he had with getting paid out on time, and then getting fined over an issue that wasn't really his. Lang compliments Donnie's work ethic and praises that he follows the system well, his efforts don't go unnoticed. Lang hits him with "welcome to the family", Donnie hopes that if they hear anything about him or other members of the crew, they just speak to said person directly. Luciano relieves Donnie of his garage responsibility, so that it's not a burden for him. Lang tells Donnie they're giving him 250k bonus, he refuses. Lang and Harry tell them it's okay to pester people about the cars, with respect to hierarchy in mind. Lang tells Donnie to be more confident, he does too much for the crew to be killed as long as he doesn't commit treason. They send Donnie off and call Queenie to get a refresher before speaking to Vito.

Lang says he understands how Queenie might dislike being asked if she's upset all the time, Luciano details how Queenie told him about the Vito shit talk for Harry to understand better. Queenie arrives and concisely describes the whispers and issues she's had with the shit talk. Lang compliments her work ethic and praises her ability to discern between petty feelings and actual concerns. After confirming what they know and what they've heard, they send her off and review their thoughts. The Dons agree that this is beyond what they want to handle, while also considering the actual issues not as important for what they're doing. Sophia calls to ask about the dispensary stuff, Lang tells her to call Nino and figure it out (politely)

They go to meet Vito at the pier, and they chat about what his plans are now that he's back from his time off. Vito notices the lack of motivation in the crew, as well as trying to stay informed with complaints that people might have. Lang doesn't approach the disrespect because he doesn't want to spiral Vito, especially since they don't have names. They wish Vito well as he leaves, Luciano agrees with the sentiment of not spiraling Vito into a crash out.

Andi calls to ask Lang what he had in mind for the Cypress games. She suggests Hot Potato, where they stack illegal guns and items on a person involved in jobs, and if they get caught, they all spend the time in jail with the person. Lang wants more games and ideas like that that are shorter and allow people to have fun. Liya calls to tell Lang that Nino called and told her about the Weed Dispensary bidding, also offering to funnel some money through their businesses, Lang gets distracted as he notices the cops pulling him over.

Officer McNulty asks Lang to move along because someone is robbing the 24/7 he's parked at, Lang realizes that the boys hopped out and are robbing the store while he was on the phone. Lang stalls and tries to speak quietly as he communicates with Arush and Luciano who have made up a fake story for what they're doing, the cops eventually let them leave and Harry hands over the cheque he found. The cops follow them as Lang pulls up to the next 24/7 and they hop out to rob it. Lang banters with the cops, Clark arrives with a hostage and Harry holds them at gunpoint as they continue to rob the store. Lang is told to leave, he doesn't. They eventually get into the safe and get a card, so Lang moves the truck and they flee from the corner store. Lang hits a crazy jump, gets stuck, and then gets pushed over a barrier by the cops, leading to their escape.

They decide to go straight to the Jewelry store, so they call Clark to get a hostage and meet. They arrive and notice it hasn't been hit yet, so they radio for the thermite and the hostage asap. Clark arrives with Sakura and Uncle DeVito (the hostage is Tommy's uncle who is looking for him). They enter and get the chip, Arush and Lang race to the Bank Truck and find it. Lang and Arush chase the truck while it drives away. They block the bank truck and Arush tries to lockpick it, but fails. Lang hops out to try and thermite the back door, but it fails and gets pushed away. They chase the truck down again, Arush holds the truck still, Lang thermites the back open. Guards hop out of the truck and start to shoot Lang, Arush shoots down the guards while Lang loots the back of the truck. Lang grabs 9 inked bags and races off, decides to stash the bags nearby and go back, but cops arrive on scene. They debate taking the cops out, but decide against it, returning to the inked bags and stashing it in another car nearby. Lang and Arush return to the Jewelry store, pick up the rest of the crew and hand over the hostage as they flee. Lang crashes the truck and everyone flees on foot, Lang grapples around, slightly injuring himself in the panic. Lang grapples to the highway, Arush picks him up on a bike and they escape the cops.

Lang shoots Arush before heading to bed.
