11/18/2024 Kick Recap - "No Half Measures"

Lang checks the Silos and the Armoury to see what's in stock. He calls Luciano to catch up on the weekend, they head to the Grime docks to meet. Luciano arrives with Harry, noting that the tarot card reading was useful to him. They call Clark and Arush down to meet them, Harry notes that Lang is unhinged since he's shirtless. Lang remembers his crash out last week and mumbles to Clark about his frustrations again, Arush needs a pick up.

Weekend Recap with the Dons

Clark begins the recap for Arush and Harry of friday (see above). Harry and Arush are frustrated that Ricky and Zahn are hanging with treasonists already. Zahn and Ricky saw CJ speak to Martin, so they tried to appease the crew by finding and killing David. CJ called Zahn and Ricky to a meeting, but she waited forever since they got shot by the Besties on their way to the meeting. Zahn and Ricky arrive to meet CJ and don't seem to be taking things seriously, she yells at them for the disrespect. CJ tells them their punishment is the loss of an eye or limb, Ricky immediately takes his own eye out to prove his respect. Zahn pleads to try and find a better resolve, but CJ takes out his eye, too. Clark didn't think Zahn was getting it, so he explains that he encouraged CJ to make the right decision. CJ empties the tommy gun mag into Zahn and tells him he's not getting it, Clark dumped Zahn's body into the Cypress waters. Lang is upset that Ricky got to live, Harry is concerned with how the crew is keeping a rat. Luciano says that he put a lot of work into Ricky, but he's fine with Ricky dying. They don't think Ricky wants to be Cypress, Lang can't wait to kill Ricky himself. Luciano wants Ricky to live until Thanksgiving on Friday, but Lang thinks Luciano's crazy. Arush tells them about Ilya and Donnie breaching the Besties Maze Bank Heist, because they took Sophia as a hostage. The Besties told Arush this morning that Sophia didn't claim Cypress (the Dons understand since she's their clean person), and that during the fight they robbed the gold bars from a downed body. Ilya claims that he stashed the bars, but Future took the bars back after taking out Ilya. The Besties want 10 gold bars back by tomorrow (100k value), or it's war with them, too. They want Arush to call the Besties now and inform them of Future taking the bars back, but Arush can't reach anyone. Arush was annoyed with the meeting, and shares that he's trying to earn Cypress some respect, but they don't have weapons to fight more than one war at a time. Luciano made a trade for 35 shotgun ammo for a few guns, Lang doesn't want to make any more trades without voting. Liya called him over the weekend to increase their bid on the cultivation side, they are allowing her to use her own cash if she wants. Clark tells them about the Stables renovation reveal happening soon, so they head out.

Everyone hops on radio to hear that the Manor is currently convoying. Lang waits outside while Clark gives different groups tours of the Stables. The Dons take their turn and LOVE the Stables. It's cozy and bright, Lang loves it. Clark tells them he was aiming for the opposite of Franks. Harry and CJ find the hidden storage that Andi built, she blames Clark for letting them explore. Lang notes that CJ sounds depressed, Lang wants to move into the Stables, so Clark offers him a game to throw things through a basketball hoop. Lang swishes and Clark agrees to share the space with him. They leave and call CJ to the waterside of Frank's to chat, Arush suggests getting Cuddles bought in today before he leaves for vacation (next week for two weeks).

CJ arrives and Arush asks her why she sounds depressed. CJ thinks she made a mistake for getting too close to people, and hurting her own feelings. Arush reminds her that she isn't a robot, and she's allowed to feel. He tells her that she was betrayed by her own crew members, and those feelings are justified.

Lang pulls Arush aside to question his speech, unsure if they should be encouraging CJ to finish the job. They return to CJ and tell her they'll handle Ricky, she has done enough. CJ conveys how she struggled with making the decision, but after speaking to Martin she came to terms with what her friends deserved. Lang compliments her work but gives her 'her one', before sending her off.

They head down to the docks and call Cuddles for her buy in. As Cuddles arrives, they hide in panic to prep for the Manor convoy. Arush cancels the plan, but they decide not to be afraid and commit to the buy in. Arush welcomes Cuddles and gives her a promising speech about her 6 months of working as an associate. Lang asks her if she's ready to join Cypress, and she hands over the 50k to Luciano. They ask why she gave 50k instead, and she says "If you ask her to bring a meal, she'll bring two". Arush reminds her to pledge allegiance to not only him, but to Cypress. Cuddles reveals that a long time ago she actually pledged to Harry, and then to Arush, so now she is agreeing to have Lang and Luciano join that promise. They make Cuddles jump into the Cypress waters for her blessing, and then send her back to work.

Lang and Arush post up in Cypress, Luciano drops off the cash. Miguel calls Arush to offer some trades, Lang discusses what they have to offer. Miguel meets them in Cypress and offers some sliders, an AR he got off Hades (who they're currently at war with), and shotgun ammo. Lang offers him a magazine to test on the guns he has, he returns with 50 shotgun ammo for 250 per. Lang stashes the ammo in the Silos and groups back up with Luciano, Harry, Arush, Clark, and CJ.

They roll over to the electronic store, but get into a shoot out. Clark gets flipped, the cops arrive quickly, and Lang attempts to lose the cops while fleeing from the shooting. Lang bleeds out in the driver seat and crashes. Arush hops out and pushes Lang into the passenger seat, Harry shoots down the cops to try and give Arush some time to drive away. Clark assists Arush by the apartments and they get escape the cops.

Arush gets himself and Lang changed in Paleto before attempting to return to the city. They hear sports cars in the distance, Arush attempts to blend in like a local. They stop by the Sandy Shores hospital to see if there are any doctors, there aren't any. Lang and Arush drive to the Silos, Arush heads to bed. Lang calls around checking in with people, Larry got shot down at Snr Buns and Martin got kidnapped. Lang calls Clark and gets his voicemail, leaving him a message about his disappointment.

Lang calls Harry to yell about Luciano, but Harry takes accountability and says it was his fault for the confusion. Harry got 300 months, he took out so many cops before getting caught. Lang acknowledges that Harry incites his paranoia and his crazy behavior, and talks about how Martin and Larry are getting caught lacking all the time. Lang reflects on how Clark (Flash) used to be skilled at everything, and now he's nothing like his old self. Harry asks about the material deal with the Manor, and mentions that Sparky Kane is talking to Luciano in visitation. Lang radios for a hit squad to head to prison, and then heads out to grab a car.

Martin Catch Up

Lang drives around and provides some radio support for the crew while they decide what to do, ultimately not pulling the trigger and finding SK. Lang calls Martin to check in, they meet at the Stables to chat. Lang hands off his gun and mags, and asks about Zahn and Ricky. Martin asks if he can kill Ricky, Lang agrees. Lang tries to politely encourage Martin, Larry, and Bubbles to lock back into the old version. Martin complains that he's a shark with no teeth, but he agrees about Larry not being the man he once was. They confirm that Larry is currently clean, since he has access to an MDT. Lang wants Martin to check in with the crew when he's awake, and at least be on the radio.

Lang tells Martin to adapt, and he shouldn't have to tell him that. Martin clarifies that he doesn't need permission to change the armoury, as long as its not restrictive to leadership. Martin claims that Clark overturns every decision they make, Lang asks for examples. Martin explains that Clark influenced CJ during her decision over the weekend, Clark also fined Martin and canceled a cargo heist job because he tried to bring someone from outside of Cypress. Lang reflects on Clark becoming very similar to himself, and asks Martin if tried to have a sit down with Clark about the issues, but he hasn't. Lang explains where he agreed with Clark's decision, and where he understands Martin's perspective on allying with Future for the cargo. Lang and Martin joke about how the 24/7 white card heists should be Martin's bread and butter, but Martin's been distracted with other issues. Martin wants better engine blocks from the cargo ship, but they need class 2s to do the job. Lang tells him they've been stashing class 2s to prepare for the job, they just weren't prepped last time. Lang calls Martin out for not being the leader they expect him to be, Martin seems motivated enough to prove himself. Martin shares his frustrations with Clark and claims that it was treason for him to go against Don Orders and forced CJ to kill Zahn, Lang agrees sort of. Martin thinks that people are eager to please Lang instead of working towards Cypress as a whole, Lang agrees, but blames Martin for not helping guide them. Lang tells Martin that he's allowed to build structures and manage anything he wants, as long as he's not lippy and explains what he's doing and why.

Lang and Martin compliment the new Stables, they want to give Andi a break from decorating for now. Lang texts Clark "Quit leading to make me happy, lead of the greater good of cypress…", and then heads to bed.
