11/27/2024 Kick Recap - "One Bad Day Away"

Lang wakes up and runs into everyone at the warehouse. Tony tells them that Donnie called this morning to thank him, a boat found his body in the water and rescued him. Lang jokes(?) that the job isn’t finished then, Larry agrees. Bubbles walks in and they rate his fit, Tony asks about his new shoes that he brought back from Japan. Lang calls Luciano to chat about Donnie, taking Tony with him to the meeting in the Cypress construction site.

Lang, Tony, Luciano, and Harry chat about Donnie and what they want to do about him surviving. Everyone agrees that it sends the wrong image to have him survive in the way that he did, so they agree to pick him up if they see him again. Tony mentions there might be a cargo ship today, but they don't have plans to pick people until it actually appears. Luciano asks about Sophia, Lang tells them he onboarded her with the northerners. Gigi is back today, so they all await speaking to her about Tony's leftover money and what her opinion is on everything.

Lang and Tony leave, Lang calls Teddy to meet and drives over to the beach. Teddy arrives and asks for the full story, Lang explains his perspective and asks for the satellite. Teddy already brought the satellite, Lang isn't surprised. Teddy says he's been through a lot in the city, so he understands. Lang heads back to Cypress, but Teddy calls with a quote: "Always remember, the ones you trust the most, you can always trust the least". Lang isn't sure what it means, turning slightly paranoid over it.

Luciano calls for a new meeting, Tony is busy so Lang meets Harry and Luciano back at the construction. Flippy informed Luciano that he's making his own gun drop event where they plan on leaving a crate full of guns and other equipment later for other crews to fight over. Lang is interested, but he wants to arrive with class 2s, Hydra said they will interfere and fight the crews who bring anything higher than a class 1. Lang doesn't really like the idea, especially because it puts a lot of trust in other gangs to just break the rule, including them. They agree to meet at the start of the event with 3 from each side.

Lang calls Tony and fills him in on the plan. Tony and Saab are busy boosting, but will be ready when the event starts. Lang does some errands and runs into Molly by the tow yard. Lang, Saab, and Tony get geared up. Tony tells them about he played League for the first time last night at a gaming café. They leave to gather more equipment and supplies, Lang tells them he'll decide if the event is worth committing to or not. Lang pulls out money to get the truck out of impound, and they wait for South Cypress to be ready for the event.

Lang calls Luciano to check in, Flippy delayed the event, Lang is frustrated so he'd rather do the cargo ship himself. Tony and Saab notice Clark crashing out on Twatter, the boys realize that a few southerners went down during the Fentanyl event. Lang runs into some Manor boys on the turf, Clark drives through them on his way into Cypress. Lang calls Clark to check in, Clark says they had a fent car and lost it, and the Besties that took down Queenie pocket wiped her. Lang warns the northerners that the Besties might want smoke, so they roll around Cypress to keep an eye out.

Lang, Tony, and Saab get food, and then get pulled over for speeding. Lang doesn't have a warrant, Lang and Tony banter with the officer. They can't find CJ or Liya, Lang thinks Gigi is holding a girl's meeting. They pick up Bubbles and Larry, before heading out to hit the jewelry store. They want to get Bubbles' truck repaired, so they stop at a repair shop first. Clark calls back to confirm that it's not war with the Besties. Lang and Tony go to check the jewelry store, Saab and Larry find a hostage.

They head over the jewelry store with a hostage, Princess, and successfully heist it for the bank truck card. Lang drops the card at the Forge and returns to help them flee from the jewelry store. After a few really good blocks, they escape the cops and regroup at the airport coast. Tony grabs the card from the warehouse and brings it to them. Lang plugs the bank truck card in his tablet and they try to find it, but can't. They think someone scouted them out and found the truck before they did. Luciano calls to tell Lang they got Sakura, and if he wants to join them, but he's busy. Lang tells Luciano about the bank truck being sniped from them, and to keep eyes peeled for it.

Bubbles notices they can hit the 24/7 in Vinewood, Lang and Larry conspire about who would have taken their bank truck. Larry calls 'his people' to get a word on the street, but they aren't able to tell him anything. Bubbles, Saab, and Tony hit the corner store, with a hostage. Bubbles gets a white card, there isn't police response, so they try another store up north.

Lang takes the crew to Paleto to see if anyone's hitting the bank, they stop to hit a Grapeseed 24/7, and Bubbles gets another white card. Luciano calls to say he's handling the last property transfer with Sophia, Lang asks if he heard from Gigi since he expects a little more drama before the end of the day, but Luciano hasn't yet. They return to Cypress, Tony heads to bed (jet lagged), and they find Martin at the Forge.

Lang pulls Liya aside to check in on the girls meeting, Liya says Gigi isn't happy. Lang tells her that he has to stand on business, Liya warns that he has to sell that she's more than numbers person and she's always welcome to hang with the boys. Lang brings Liya to join the rest of the northerners while they get some tasks done. Martin tells Lang they have a pink card to hit a Fleeca when the time is right, Lang tells him to take lead on it. They discuss starting the butcoin farm in the Bodega, or using one of Liya's commercial properties, but Martin thinks they're too small.

Lang and Martin head to the bank, Lang asks Martin to take Sophia and Liya on some heists and give them a taste of the life they didn't get. Lang reminds Martin that he's able to really take the reigns with this crew, and they joke about how dedicated he was before. Martin transfers Lang some cash and Lang heads out to try and upgrade his Penguin mobile. Lang banters with some of the Manor who try to take him hostage, but he gets into his car and flees. He calls for help on the radio and pulls over on Fudge to hop out, but they give up the chase.

Lang meets with Liya, Sophia, and Saab and they head up north to chop wood. After filling the truck, they head the next step and get the wood processed, before dropping it off at the Forge. Lang heads to bed.
