12/6/2024 Kick Recap - "Honeymoon Is Over"

Lang awkwardly runs into Queenie at the apartments, and then again at the food court. No other food stall is open, so he has to get food from Franks. Luciano comes by and greets Lang, right as Queenie charges him, Luciano scolds her for charging Cypress, but it's fine. Lang runs into Martin and Liya at the Forge, and takes Martin along with him to deposit some washed cash in another club. It's too soon to drop it off, they wait inside the club, and find some rolled bills on the ground. Lang and Martin decide to adventure to kill time, stopping by the coast, and then Martin's trailer. Martin can't get in because he didn't pay the taxes, but he blames Bubbles.

They finally drop the money off in the club and head back to Cypress. They pick up Larry and gather up the 50k kick up from Martin, Larry, and Liya. Luciano calls to offer them a shotgun, Lang is interested in some weapons if they have extra. Luciano asks for an update on the Silo property, Lang needs to pay the taxes but doesn't remember the number, so he takes the northerners to City Hall.

The taxes are 124k for the Silo, and 12k for his other property. Lang calls Luciano back to get the money transferred, but Luciano doesn't know who to send the property to yet. Lang pays the bills and goes to meet the northerners outside, finding Ricky dead on the ground by their car. Lang takes Liya, Larry, and Martin back to Cypress, but they are immediately pulled over by the cops who are confused. They spot Bubbles on a bike, and the cops begin to chase him instead.

Lang drops everyone off and picks up Bubbles, Larry successfully blocks the cops and Lang escapes. Martin is still being chased, so Lang drops Bubbles to Larry and goes back into the city to help him. Some of the cops decide to chase Lang, so Larry picks him up again after Lang leaves his Penguinmobile at the old Clean Manor.

As Lang returns to Cypress, he calls everyone to the office to finish taking their kick ups. Bubbles gives his 50k, Sophia gives a little short of 50k, but hands over 10 glocks. Lang notices Martin's Survival painting in his office, it reminds him of Brazil. Saab tells Lang his money is in the bank, so they leave to go get it. Saab asks what the money is for, Lang tells him not to ask stupid questions. Saab tries to stall, but Lang doesn't let him. Saab gets the 50k out of the bank, Lang counts the bills and they return to Cypress to drop it off.

Martin calls Lang to prep for the Paleto heist, they gather up 6 and head north. They arrive and notice it's already being hit, and it's South Cypress. Lang makes them leave their hostage and they return to Cypress. On the way back, Larry suggests countering the south, Liya jokes about being locked in, and banters with Lang about being old. Lang tells everyone they're getting way too comfortable. Lang returns to the car, Yuno hops out of the trunk. They all greet Yuno, he asks to be added to the panel for the Forge. After Lang adds him, they roll out to do a jewelry/bank truck.

Jewelry + Bank Truck Heist Paleto Heist

Lang, Martin, Yuno, Larry get to the store right when the alarm is going off. Saab arrives with the hostage, but they call it off. Zeek calls to say they mistimed Paleto, and aren't able to hit it. He offers Lang to take over the job, so they pivot and head up north. Yuno warns them that he's only around for another hour, Lang doesn't like what he's hearing. Yuno asks Lang what he thinks about the Cypress split, they discuss the pros and cons. Lang complains about Tony telling Ray, and then Ray telling everyone. They arrive at Paleto and greet the hostage, Autumn. Martin's able to hack into the vault, they have to wait for the timer. They get another FIB document, Lang gets Yuno's help to loot the gold bars, and then Lang gives Officer Gus his demands. They flee from the bank, Yuno ejects but lives, and Lang escapes the cops cleanly.

Lang stops to grab a few duffle bags and they radio to return to Paleto to sell the gold. Larry tells Martin that Ricky put a hit out on him, and then Larry calls to threaten Ricky. They fill the van with as much as they can, but need to stuff their pockets with all the rolled bills. Martin asks Lang if he can bring Jay Hobbs in as a pusher, they agree he won't last long, but at least it's approved. Martin clarifies that Hank is cool to keep pushing, Lang agrees. Liya calls Martin to say she got robbed doing Guber Eats (40k), they want to deposit the money first.

After dropping off the money, Lang and Martin search around for the car that Liya described. They find it on the Saints block, and a person pulls up on a bike to check in with them. Lang and Martin hop out, Liya radios that she called one of them on the Lemon List and confirmed it was the Saints, so they get into a shoot out. Lang and Saab get on a roof, Lang shoots down someone, and the cops arrive. Bubbles gets Martin in the car and takes him to the hospital, Lang calls for everyone to regroup in the hospital and tells Liya that he got the girl on her behalf. Liya says she took someone out and robbed them, giving Lang the armour. Martin rejoins them by Maze Bank Arena, the cops pull up, so everyone splits off.

Lang listens in while they try to help Saab escape the cops. He calls Clark to warn them about the beef with the Saints. Lang returns to Cypress and watches from the rooftops, eventually deciding to help out. Lang warns Skipper and Sophia about their shootout with the Saints, Larry is able to get Saab out, so they return to Cypress. Clark calls back to caution Lang about the Saints convoying around, Lang wants more shotgun ammo but it's expired. They roll out in a convoy and joke about them being mostly blue cars, Martin takes lead and Saab mentions that Martin is really stepping up.

They convoy around for a bit, looking for the Saints. Skipper mentions that his car is at Mosley's, so they race over thinking someone is stealing his parts. They find one of their previous hostages took Skipper's car, so they shoot him down and take the car back. They return to Cypress and post up, in case the Saints come by. Lang makes mention of Saab's constant NPC style remarks, unsure when he changed to be so lame. Lang and the north continue to chase after the Saints convoy, until they find them on their block and decide to push. Lang and the boys push into a motel complex for the shoot out, trying to use the close corners for cover. Lang shoots down one, and runs out of ammo. Cypress gets shot down, robbed, and left in the motel.

Liya finds everyone at the hospital, they all woke up forgetting they were in a fight with the Saints. They go grab the cars from the block and head back to Cypress. Martin tells them that they took the parts out of CJ's car, which is actually Marlo's car. Everyone is annoyed with the Saints for being greedy, Martin calls Lang to tell him that he took the parts instead. Lang plans to have a meeting on Monday about some operations and structure, including opening invites to associates and more members. They quickly discuss what to do with the cash they have, and how many materials they need to expand the butcoin farm. Lang wants to get to 500 butcoin a day, and gives Martin approval to use the clean crew cash to keep expanding. They want to start having monday and friday meetings, Lang leaves a note on the board on his way out.

Lang heads to bed.
