12/9/2024 Kick Recap - "High Calorie Individuals"
Lang stops by the food court and gets some Frank's from Queenie. Lang gets a quick recap from Martin: Sophia left the warehouse open and Saints breached and killed everyone inside, Hades convinced CJ that Marty took the car parts, and they're extra mad since the North contested Hades' bank truck. Martin asks if they're still at war, and offers to end it. Lang doesn't end wars, so Martin gets approval to handle it. Lang checks out the butcoin farm and is disappointed in what Martin's made so far.
Larry takes Lang and Liya to City Hall to get keys cut for the bodega. Martin calls Lang to come join him for the meeting with the Saints. Martin and Lang meet with the Saints leadership, and weakly agree to end things. The Saints want some sort of acknowledgement when doing Guber on their block. Lang bites his tongue until he leaves, telling Martin that he was not showing signs of a better reputation. Martin doesn't care how he looks, but Lang disagrees.
They return to Cypress and want to do a money run, Skipper shows Lang his 50k kickup and the pity gun they got from Hydra who won the cargo heist. Lang grumbles in frustration about Hydra giving guns out for free. Lang, Liya, Larry, and Skipper ride up with more washed money, Lang remembers he has a run left from last week. Martin remembers he has a money run too, so he brings Bubbles along. They complete a few money runs and yap on the way. Larry reflects on the year, and all the arcs he's had. Liya asks about Oscar(o7), and Larry tells her about burnout.
They have a short meeting recapping everything Martin already told Lang, and then discuss investing all the money they have into butcoin to make it better. They are just in time to do a Fleeca, Lang heads up and waits for everyone to arrive. Martin fails the first hack, so they drive back to get another card. The cops arrive while they're away, and they banter a bit when they return. Martin hacks in, they don't find any new cards, and they joke about how bad their luck is.
They leave and the chase begins, Martin and Larry seem more confident to be in Lang's car since he's been a great escape driver as of recent. Skipper and Bubbles offer to set up some blocks while Lang drives through the city. Lang can't shake the cops, Bubbles scoops up Lang, and he tries to shoot the cops as they are chased. The cops are relentless as they chase them down, Bubbles crashes the car at the pier and they flee in the water. Lang tries to leave his gun and the money behind in the water, while dodging the police boat. The police boat finds him and shoots him down, then takes him to the hospital for medical treatment.
Lang gets charged all the way in BCSO for the Fleeca and the shooting, they ask him not to start a riot in Prison. Lang meets a lifer who hands off a molotov. Lang looks for Bubbles and finds him in visitation, chatting with Larry. Lang wants to use his new equipment, so he heads out and banters with some DOC until he throws it at them. More guards appear and a fight breaks out, but one DOC shoots Lang down. After getting back on his feet, Saab (who still works for the DOC), arrives and 'takes Lang to solitary'. Lang 'robs' Saab of his goods, which includes a sewer pistol and some mags. Lang wants to return to kill the officer who shot him, giving Bubbles some of the equipment to use.
They cook up a plan to hold up the guards, Lang tries to enlist the current in-mates to help. Lang makes small talk with prisoners while he plots against the DOC. Lang and Bubbles finally pull the trigger and hold up two guards, Lang uses one of their bodies as a shield until another guard comes in with a class 2 and shoots them down. Saab escorts Lang to the infirmary and helps get him back on his feet, Lang runs around trying to jump the wall or steal a vehicle, but eventually just waits for his time to be up.
