12/13/2024 Kick Recap - "Christmas Cameo"

Lang test flies a jetpack around the city, trying to spook everyone with his flexing. Lang spends some time working on the butcoin farm, frustrated with the current layout. Lang cooks for a long time, eventually making something spacious with the bodega. He calls Sophia to confirm the location of the dinner, before getting changed and heading to Frank's.

Christmas Dinner

Everyone gathers up at the Frank's warehouse, CJ shows off her snow angel. Andi gives out glizzies and tells everyone to get seated inside, and brings in Denzel, who most people are happy to see. Arush wishes them well, Lang forgets about the gifts so he closes his eyes and wishes for a bunch of stuff to get Sophia. Liya wants to speak her mind, Teddy encourages her, but Lang and Sophia tell her to just eat the candy cane. Everyone goes around the room and shares their Christmas wishes. Andi reads out the answers to the questionnaire (I can't be bothered to write all these details since people started yelling their answers), Lang won a few obvious ones.

Gift Exchange

They finally do the gift exchange: Cuddles got Gigi Brass Knuckles and a Piggy Bank, Matteo got Dom an Engine and a Low Rider, Tony got Big Joe a Moped, CJ got Harry a commissioned photo of Lang and Harry Brown riding a horse, Lang gives Sophia a signed CLEANBOIS POOL CUE, an Arcade Machine, an Arcade Plushie, and rare painting of the Lighthouse. Zayn got Dom a box of car parts, and also got Clark boxes of car parts and a scrap book of the BWC. Queenie got Speedy a car that she offers to bring to the warehouse, it's a yellow lowrider that looks amazing. Arush gives her a hug, something he never gives. Dom got Luciano an amazing car with the Italian Flag on the roof, and included free repairs forever for helping guide him when he was lost. Saab got Matteo an off-road vehicle, Arush got Yuno the same car that Saab got, but coloured for Yuno's liking. Martin gives a powerful speech about honor and loyalty to Liya, handing off his captain token to her, and then bringing out a gift HORSE. Bubbles got Vito a 1 of 1 Herbie car, Jacyn got Luciano a free replacement on his car with 2 VAFs. Big Joe got Ilya a book of naked photos of himself, and then reveals a car in the back of a truck (but it broke so he can't get it out). Sophia got Beau a truck and a lunchbox, Queenie got Andi a cool race car in her favourite colour, because she probably didn't include herself. Leon got Skipper a Warlock Plushie (mfWarlock is his ooc name for context). Kitty got Martin armour and some butcoin, Liya got CJ a bunch of whiskey and 2 of 2 art of a cat enjoying soup. Gigi got Cuddles a very nice art of herself, Skipper got Zeek an LMG and they encourage him to shoot it, but he doesn't. Larry and Harry are both not here to give Lang and Leon their gifts. Luciano got Queenie a How To guide for fighting Mimes that was made in Italy, and a grapple gun. Zeek got Saab an LMG, Queenie calls him out for re-gifting, but he pulls out the one he got, too! Ilya got Zayn a long speech about failure and then gave him a pair of shoes without laces so he can't trip on them. Teddy got Octo, but they are unsure if either of them are around. Andi got Larry a bag of chocolate almonds, and an UZI (becaue his ooc name is ripoozi). Lang brings Andi her Gargoyle motorcycle and her sawed off shotgun!

Everyone returns to the dinner tables and Zeek announces a gift car that they will all deathroll for, so they circle up and slowly work through every elimination. Lang gets eliminated 4th, Kitty wins the car. Larry arrives late to give Lang his gift, so they all head outside. Larry gives Lang an LMG and his Gresley. Larry disappears, so they head back in side where Lang tells everyone that Tony prepared a speech. Tony begins by thanking Andi, and welcomes her to the family. He thanks everyone for stepping up, and reminds them that any moment may be their last.

Andi requests speeches from every Don, so Arush goes next. Arush appreciates being surrounded by people he likes, and that he doesn't normally get to celebrate with family. Luciano keeps it short by reflecting on the year they had, and reminding them that they are still capable of breaking bread. Lang doesn't want to kill the vibes when he starts, but still threatens everyone by stirring suspicion about people hanging out with treasonists. Tony wraps it up with a toast to the new year.

Jaycn tells everyone that Dank's is having a grand opening later, and Luciano wants to still have funerals for those they've killed. Lang declares to honor the dead. Larry returns to get his gifts, and gives his Sakura impression. Arush thanks Andi for all the work she's done, and welcomes Denzel into anything he's ever going to be involved in. Martin thanks Zeek for everything he's done, everyone cheers and continues about their day.

Lang gathers everyone of the North (except Larry) to the Forge for an announcement. Lang gives an evocative speech about leadership, intellect, and duty. He jokingly declares Saab, before honoring Martin with a promotion to Underboss. Martin thanks everyone for their trust and loyalty, and reminds them that he'll make them proud. Lang needs everyone to leave the warehouse so they can see the new painting, they find Gigi outside drunk. They carry Gigi back inside and see the new painting, stunned at how ominous and elegant it looks. Lang and Martin make pleas for Jean Paul's return, to be guided by the Lighthouse in the painting. Lang and Sophia look around at the different rooms and how they can better segment an office for Tony now that Martin got his room. Lang calls Saab to find out where he went, but Saab is stuck in the elevator at the apartments.

CJ pulls Lang aside to talk about potential treason, but Lang tells her he was just stirring to bring down the vibes. At the end of the day, the people that are dead, stay dead. They're not to be hanging around, speaking with, or doing jobs with people they've blooded out. CJ warns Lang of the texts she's gotten from Hades about blowing up their vehicles, Lang doesn't really care. Lang tells CJ she has a lot of potential, Tony calls to see if Lang knows anything about setting up races, but they defer to Octo for help.

Lang offers for Sophia to make herself an office, and they discuss how long they're planning on using all the cash for materials. Saab arrives with all of his cash, Lang puts his LMG down on the desk and counts it. After kicking everyone out of the office, Lang grills Saab for using his history to disrespect him in front of the crew. Lang reminds him that he's immune to nothing, and mentions that twice he nearly shot him. Saab confuses banter with disrespect, but he agrees to figure it out.

Lang and Martin head over to the bodega to check out the butcoin farm. Martin agrees that it's much better, they bring Liya and Sophia to check it out. Liya questions why they don't have the butcoin farm in the warehouse, since they moved the drying to a different building, they all come to a realization. Lang adds some lighting and the new racks that were made. Lang asks about Gigi, Martin shares the concern, so he calls Tony to check in about Gigi. Gigi is sad and wants to come to the north, Lang and Martin think that Gigi should be more careful. Martin reads out drunk texts from Gigi, and offers to reassure her.

Lang calls Saab to confirm he stashed the stuff yesterday, he did. He didn't stash his DOC gear, so he likely loses his job and got punished by the PD for being an idiot. Andi calls to see if Lang wants to speak with Denzel before he leaves, so Lang flies over to Chumash Pier. Lang and Denzel embrace and joke about how old they both look. Denzel reflects on his years in prison, Arush gave him a deagle. Lang doesn't like the way he's speaking, reminding him that they don't retire.

Lang heads to bed.
