12/16/2024 Kick Recap - "The Boss"

Queenie asks to speak to Lang later as she runs into him at the apartment parking lot. Lang runs into Skipper outside the Forge and Skipper asks Lang if Associates should kick up weekly, Lang isn't sure yet. Unsure if the Penguinmobile is operating properly, he stops by Tuner shop to check on the parts. Everything still seems to be there, Hazel asks Lang if he's still selling his RSX. Lang offers Hazel the RSX with no VAFs at the price he bought it for, 1.3m (It has VAFs). Hazel thinks about it and he'll get back to Lang later (he probably won't get back to him).

Lang returns to the Forge and checks in with Martin and Sophia: Sophia went on a cargo heist over the weekend but Zeek waffled it, and Martin wants to go hit Paleto asap. Lang and Martin gather supplies, Lang calls Clark to grief him about missing the Holiday Dinner. Clark really wanted to attend, but he was 'unavailable'. They talk about Rust for a bit, Lang gets an update about the South and what they're up to. They jokingly wish each other well, in hopes that either side of Cypress is going to need it.

Lang asks Martin if he snaked any Stage 5 parts out of the Penguinmobile, Martin laughs it off, Lang remains suspicious. Martin gives Lang's car the full repair and they drop some cash in the clubs to be cleaned. Sophia informs them that she'll be gone next week for a week or two, Lang agrees since he'll be off as well. (og might do a Saturday stream to make up the time off) Sophia tells them that the bodega doesn't have warehouse power fuses, Lang realizes that it's not a warehouse. They decide to keep it and make secondary farm if necessary. Lang wants to do all the moonshine right now, so they gather up Skipper and Saab to help. Zeek calls to see if they're hitting Paleto, Lang lies and says they are, and then changes their plan to do Paleto instead of moonshine.

Paleto Heist

They drop Skipper to Sophia to find a hostage, Saab and Martin join Lang as they head to the bank. The timers are delayed today, Ray pulls up and asks what they're up to, Lang brushes him off. Lang and Saab banter with the hostage, Lang checks his phone to see who he's with. The time for the vault is delayed too long, so they give the hostage up and flee the bank. Skipper and Sophia stay behind to keep eyes on the bank, Lang drops Martin and Hank to their car, and tries to cook until he's too frustrated. Lang almost gets picked up by Saab, but after a near catch, Martin takes him instead. Martin's car is amazing and escapes the cops quickly, they circle back to Paleto to actually hit the bank now that the correct time has passed. Martin is able to break into the vault, the crew picks up a new hostage. Lang and Martin argue about whether Frank, from Frank's, is a worthy hostage, but Lang doesn't like the idea of using him. Martin doesn't get a cargo card again, Lang and Saab split up to try and help the crew escape the cops. Lang picks up Sophia who breaks her first set of cuffs ever, and drops her in Cypress to put away the loot. Lang returns to docks and grabs a boat to pick up Saab and Hank. After picking them up, the Octopussy jousts with the PD boat that chases them. A second boat arrives, he flips it easily and uses their panic to escape to the Burger Shot canals.

Martin and Sophia pick everyone up, Martin takes Lang to get changed, but hits him with the car and injures his other leg. Lang gets patched up at the hospital, confuses Martin with where he wants to go, so they crash and eject. Lang stops by the Tuner shop to check out a new car. Lang findsa stratum around the corner, Martin jokes about it being the new crew car. Lang dumps the car in the water, they return to Cypress to try and have a crew meeting, but Martin wants the engine he left in Lang's car.

Martin swaps the engine and they make small talk with Hazel who offers them parts and options going forward. Lang thinks Hazel is still in a gang, but Martin reminds them that the Besties nearly had him, but kicked him out. Lang finds a Delorean and test drives it a bit, discovering that it can HOVER. They return to Cypress and gather everyone in the literalForge for a meeting.

North Cypress Meeting

Tony tells everyone about the Race event tomorrow, asking to borrow Martin's car. Lang wants to get focused on fent runs, Saab mentions that cocaine was found by the cops, too. They want to stack on oxy, so they need to do runs and are down to leave that to Hank. Sophia suggests getting acclimated to the sewers so they can get more sewer equipment, Tony offers to invest his 700k on guns and ammo. They want to get started on moving the gold bars from the earlier heist, so they roll out.

Lang and Martin drive up to Paleto, Saab radios his discovery of a door within the warehouse, everyone mocks him for it (Saab has been full NPC today). Martin crashes and they both eject, Lang goes down. In a race back to the hospital, Martin crashes again and ejects Lang for the second time. Lang recovers at the hospital, Martin wants to make a deal with Hazel for parts so they stop at Legion Square. Tony calls to say he scuffed the bars and lost some cash asking if Lang can fix it, Martin crashes and ejects them both for a third time, but Lang survives. Lang knocks Martin out and presses him for going to the hospital so much.

They drive up to Paleto safely this time, but Lang decides that it's too hard to fix. They stop by Yellow Jack to start Martin's money run, and drive along to make sure he delivers it safely. Lang scuffs out pretty bad, and when he returns he test drives a truck to Mosley's. Lang calls Edgar to see if he can get the rest of the money he's owed for the safehouse, Edgar tells Lang he's been gathering the FIB documents for the trade. Lang calls Martin to check which documents they have (3/5/7/8), and then heads to bed.
