Ray decided to run it back.

After they filled up the gas cannister, Ray goes inside MRPD unnoticed and starts to pour gasoline everywhere
After successfully lit the Tree with silenced pistols and taking a picture, they all left MRPD safely without a chase.

While Benji and Reggie goes on their adventure, Reggie asked Benji to go the place Kit got caught to look around if there is any grenade there (because it doesn't exploded earlier).
Unc's POV of Reggie found Kit's Unexploded Grenade at 01:53:52
Benji called Kit about it and said "Reggie tracked it like a bloodhound, he scented it" with Kit replied with "or i told him where it was"
But Benji said "Reggie is weirdo because he starred at your leg and scented it on the grenade, he found it, the creep!" (Unc messing with Reggie)

So the explanation is that instead of "throwing it", she is "giving it" to the floor.
