1/13/2024 Kick Recap - "Under in Underboss"

Lang wants to get some deagle mags, but gets a call from Wyatt and remembers he has Edgar's phone. Tony reminds Lang of the grand opening for the repair shop later, Lang confirms his attendance. He heads out to pick up the mags and gets a call from Ilya to chat. They meet under the pier and discuss the potential of Ilya working with Edgar. Lang cautions Ilya about the importance of working with Edgar, willing to give up the operation if necessary. Lang still isn't sure where to work Ilya in, and reflects on his choices as he leaves.

Lang runs into Larry just sitting in his car outside the Forge, and Tony pulls Lang aside to remind him about the Redline heist. Tony was paying a discreet group to keep his Redline stuff vaulted, he was paying them in crypto from back in the day. He forgot to make the payments over the years, and got a guy to steal two of the old Redline jackets and escape the group to return them to Tony. Tony wants to rob the vault of the rest of their equipment, but he's been hunted by this group for the last few days. Tony thinks Wednesday or Thursday they're going to raid the vault, and asks for Lang to be there. Lang doesn't want to die for a few jackets, but Tony thinks there will be a few guns for Lang to take instead. Tony asks Lang to stop making fun of his jacket, because everyone else won't respect it if Lang does- Lang agrees to stop.

CJ tells them that a group of black cars were convoying over the weekend looking for northerners. Lang thinks it's Edgar, but they aren't sure if it's the group that robbed their oxy runs last week. Martin and Sofia come around, they agree to start putting racks and GPUs in the Forge. Martin is still 'sick', they ride around discussing the plan for the day. Lang tries to make Larry suspicious of something big happening to him today. Lang is annoyed he has to get food from Hydra's booth or the Besties. They return to the Forge and notice their cars are all performing significantly worse, Martin doesn't think their parts got stolen, but Lang isn't convinced.

Martin works on Lang's car at the Tuner shop, complaining about Tony leaving bad parts for the crew and being selfish. Lang tells Martin to call Tony and complain, but he refuses. Lang yells at Tony, relaying Martin's message. Tony calls Martin and they argue, but end the call with loving affirmations. Lang has a purple card and wants to hit Paleto, so he heads up north with Larry and Martin. They call CJ and Tony to join them and wait to re-group, Martin is depressed that his car isn't as amazing as it was. Lang twats out to stir about the South, Clark re-twats it. Tony and CJ arrive with a hostage, they head inside to hit the bank but the system is down. They wait a bit and make small talk with the hostage, who is a suspended DOC guard. He crashed out after the Warden got suspended for letting the Lifer escape, they can't hit Paleto so they leave.

Lang gathers up Martin, Larry, CJ, Sofia, and Bubbles for an attempt at Maze Bank. Bubbles headpops, Lang tries to press CJ to explain that while they wait for his return.
Lang successfully hacks, Bubbles successfully hacks, and they get inside. After dragging Martin to the sewers, Lang returns to help CJ with the vault door. Larry sets off to find a hostage, but after wasting too much time they risk it without one. They get into the vault and get a ton of gold bars and marked bills. The cops arrive right as they leave, they get chased until Lang drops Bubbles and Sofia to a car, and then notice the pursuit vanish. They regroup and head to Paleto to sell the gold bars. Lang asks Martin to call Clark and antagonize him, but he is blown away at the level Martin started with. Lang tells Martin to call back and lower the level, so Martin calls back and isn't as mean to Clark. They get all the bars exchanged and notice they only came back with close to 400k

On the way back to Cypress, Lang crashes and ejects them all, going down in the process. Luciano, Harry and Clark roll by to check on them. Lang notices Martin talking poorly about the South, not just Clark. Lang realizes Harry is alive, and they make a joke about him rising from the dead again. Larry and Martin take Lang to the hospital, Lang tells Martin that he shouldn't be disrespecting Dons. They drive over to the Kortz Center to check out the business event, Lang asks Larry if he's okay for the 5th time today. Larry seems to think something is wrong, Liya reminds Larry that he snitched, Lang and Martin stop the conversation. Lang crashes into other people's cars to make a parking spot, and then calls Edgar back.

Lang and Edgar joke about if they're hunting each other, and they both try to make comments about who is scarier. Lang heads into the Kortz Center but tells Martin to steal parts from the cop cars outside. Lang is astonished by the market style event being held. He stops by each of the booths, spitting on the Dank's one. He buys 3 dolls from Cuddles of Harry, Arush, and Luciano. Lang speaks with CJ about her new shoes, which are just loafs of burnt bread wrapped around her feet. Gamboa, the mechanic who Lang would chat with at Mosley's introduces herself to Lang again. She tells him that she's part of Nino's cabinet and a manager of the Kortz Business Market. Lang antagonizes Carmine, and then is defended for attending the event. Lang buys a custom bouquet and some food, and then notices Larry and Bubbles talking to the cops in the security office.

They press Carmine for trying to apprehend Bubbles and then have a small chat with Liya about how suspicious Larry looked for talking to Officer Peters in private. Cuddles gives Lang a Tony doll, and Lang speaks offers to work with the Kortz Manager if she ever leaves Nino's cabinet. Lang chats with a marketing business about becoming an intern, Nino interrupts a conversation with Larry about Carmine profiling them. Lang and Liya head over to Tony's repair shop for the opening event, but Lang is worried that everyone is at a different event.

They arrive at the event and Skipper tells them that Tony is in a meeting since they were being pressed by some Russians. Skipper pulls Lang aside to apologize for his kickback being late, but he left it on Lang's desk in the Forge. Lang heads inside and greets Kitty, eventually congratulating Tony on the grand opening. Tony takes Lang to the back to chat about how he was taunted by the Russians about the grand opening already. Lang offers to help protect the shop since the crew is around and strapped.

Buddha uses the menu to show off C4 bombs being added to the server for RP, and then offers to help admins on some Russian conflict with Tony. He flies around and explodes things around different players in the server, scaring them

Lang returns to chat with Tony, calming him down about Larry's on stage jokes at the event. Lang encourages Tony to do some coke and act like he owns the place. Lang returns to Martin's side and starts repeating names in his ear to spook him. They get into a scuffle that Larry has to break up, Larry calls Lang too old, but Lang takes offense to being called too young. Liya makes fun of Lang for acting like he's rich publicly, they argue about who has more money in their bank account. CJ spots an army helicopter, but Lang can't see it. Bubbles wins a deathroll for a 25k credit line, they warn Tony about the helicopter. Larry pulls the northerners aside to warn them about Officer Peters calling Larry and threatening him about the Faceless, Lang tries to stop him from talking about it. They warn them of a sniper across the street, Buddha tries to plant a bomb on the roof, but everyone is on the roof trying to hide from the sniper, so he plants it inside the shop

Buddha leaves a trail of footsteps that leads to the bomb, Skipper and Larry find the bomb and everyone freaks out. They check the time and panic, telling everyone to leave. Lang tells everyone to call the cops, encouraging the panic. They all cross the street and see the bomb explode, the cops arrive and Lang tries to talk Tony down from the pain of losing the shop. Tony stands on the pile of rubble and gives a motivating speech about how everything will be okay.

Luciano and Clark arrive and compliment Tony's shop, Lang yells at them for arriving late as usual. CJ reports that people are circling the Forge, so the northerners head over to Cypress. They don't find anyone in Cypress, so they get gas and reflect on Tony's shop opening and closing in the same day. Larry radios about a white car, Lang pulls up to it and it's Brandon Valentino. Lang threatens to shoot him, but Valentino says he's just checking out the police presence, and leaves.

Lang calls Edgar to see if he's convoying, Edgar says he was just driving through, so Lang tells him to stay out of the neighbourhood. Lang calls Tony to check in one more time, Tony vents about what he expected to happen, and that he didn't expect the shop to get bombed. Tony asks Lang if he has cleaners because he used to bomb things back in the day, Lang doesn't want to talk about bombs over the phone, so he hangs up. Lang warns everyone to not spread rumours about the Russians, and take everything Tony says with a grain of salt.

Buddha returns to the shop and hears Tony rally his workers, they think one of the employees was sleeping inside the shop, so they have a moment of silence by the coast for him. Buddha makes it rain to enhance Tony's speech. He teleports to Carmine and starts flinging him around, Nino chases after him. Carmine announces the closing of the Kortz Center, Buddha changes into a rat and chases him around the room. Carmine tries to shoot the rat, claiming he was bitten. Buddha visits MRPD and notices it's got rubble around the entrance, too. Lil Kev notices the rat and chases him to the street. Buddha flies around and spooks more people as a rat, for fun. He changes into a chimp and takes a drink from someone's fridge. He stops by prison, smokes a joint, and accidentally blows himself up
