1/17/2025 Kick Recap - "Vito Was Right"

Lang takes care of a few errands and finds Martin at the Forge, asking if they can do Maze Bank today. Skipper informs them they have 4 PNY cards, so they agree to make an attempt for the better GPU blueprint. Lang heads out to do some oxy runs for the crew, but is disappointed in how lazy the North has become. Tony calls to say he lived through his mission, Lang calls Martin back to threaten the crew for not earning enough. Lang yells at Larry for being lazy over the radio, and calls Martin to suggest killing Larry to send a message. Martin begs to not kill Larry, offering to carry the weight. Lang and Martin argue about the seriousness the crew has and if Martin has been acting childish. They stop by Tony's shop to get Lang's car repaired, Luciano calls to warn Lang about the war with the Besties. Martin tells Lang that he spoke to 4Head in jail, and confirmed they have smoke only for the South.

After getting the car repaired at Tony's shop, they head to a cash exchange. Lang, Larry, Martin, and Liya wait for Skipper and Sofia to bring the hostage before they get started. The hostage offers to give Lang a survey while they wait: Lang is not a morning person, he would like to explore the country side more often, he has secrets that would get him in trouble, he works with people he can't stand, and would rather have a pause button when it comes to life. Lang continues to answer survey questions while they wait for the backdoor to open. They secure a few more PNY cards, some more money printers, and cash they drop off at the Forge.

Lang takes a quick refresher on the RC-Car hack, they gather equipment for Maze Bank, and they make fun of Larry some more. Ilya calls and Lang is glad to hear from him. Ilya tells Lang about the south getting shot up, so Lang drives them over to where the conflict happened. Ilya wanted to save them, or at least help Clark, but didn't. Ilya tells Lang that Tre Pas thinks he's Jason Bourne, Lang laughs at the idea. They pull up to the cops who are arresting and escorting South Cypress, and banter with the PD as they take them away. Lang is frustrated with Martin being in his head, so he takes Martin out of the car on the highway and drives off. After arguing with Larry about who the best hacker is, he picks Martin back up and they grab supplies for the Maze Bank.

Lang hops through the window and successfully completes the RC-Car hack, Martin gets them into the back of the bank, Sofia opens the elevator shaft, and they are able to get a bit of cash. They only have one more try on a different door, Lang is ashamed of everyone in the group. They drop some of the cash back at the Forge, Lang grabs a new radio. The cops arrive, they are unsure what to do, so Lang and Martin argue. Skipper goes to grab a hostage, and they stall the cops while they wait. They fail the hacks and have to leave, Martin and Lang argue as they flee the bank. Lang grows extra frustrated and crashes out on the cops, shooting as he goes down.

After getting back on his feet, Lang argues with Officer Ventura about breaching their bank when they 'had a hostage'. Ventura takes them to BSCO and issues their time and fine. Martin threatens to blow up the PD for taking his grapple gun, Lang encourages him. Lang is informed that the Karuma is getting a second VAF (2/3), and he's being prevented from being sent to prison during a riot. Once the riot clears, he's sent up and advises the officers to kill Ventura (85k fine).

Lang meets Ursula as a DOC, they make small talk about their lives. Lang and the North walk into Visitation and find the South cuffed, Lang starts punching guards and running away. Luciano interrupts Lang's workout to ask him about Martin putting a hit on the South. Lang presses Luciano for believing anything the Besties or Hades says about the North talking poorly about the South. They are shortly interrupted by the DOC, Lang runs around making small chat and flexing that he's not cuffed. Lang pulls Martin aside to question what he said to 4Head, Martin claims he didn't say anything outside of declaring that he was for the North. After some circling, Martin mentions that he joked about them securing the kill on Queenie, which peaks Lang's frustration. Lang tries to explains that whether he was joking or not, that disrespect doesn't fly if the roles were changed or reversed. Larry quickly walks over and agrees that they should deny everything that Luciano claims, Luciano and Clark pull Martin and Lang aside to continue speaking.

Lang and Luciano spiral around the disrespect and the animosity from both the North and the South. Lang pushes Clark by revealing that he called Ilya, regretting his decision, but Clark clarifies that he regrets not speaking up during the choice to blood Ilya out. Luciano tells Lang that he is to blame for trying to do something different with Cypress, and trying to bond or build relationships with other crews. Lang tells them that his refusal to build relationships comes from experience, not assumptions. Martin claims he disrespected Clark at a 10 when it should have been a 4, and apologizes. Lang brings up all the "sleepy pussy" jokes, including Gigi twatting about it, but Luciano thinks it's a joke that the North started.

Clark circles back to the twat that Ming made earlier that claiming that the shooting of Queenie was "for Martin". Clark brings up an earlier conflict with Martin and they question Martin for joking with the Besties. Martin denies putting a hit out on Queenie, and doesn't reveal anything else he said. Luciano asks Lang to keep his people in line, and Lang should be the only person to disrespect people. Luciano tells Lang about Skipper being disrespectful, and he beat Skipper up for it. Lang thinks that was fine for Luciano to handle, and he should at least be informed if he wants things to be handled on his behalf. Martin thinks they're closer now, Lang suggests that while Arush and Harry are gone, they should rejoin the North and South, but Clark and Luciano say that Arush and Harry are around. Upon hearing that Bruce Baylor is in South, Lang walks away from the conversation.

Liya jokes about Lang having 5 hour conversations, Lang walks up to Skipper and threatens to stab him in the neck if he ever disrespects the Dons again. Lang threatens to Hulk out, Liya claims he already did earlier. Lang questions why Skipper would do that in the first place, but Skipper thought it was just a playful joke and didn't know Luciano was even there. Larry pulls Lang aside to talk to Yeager, Lang acts like they aren't father and son anymore. Larry asks if he still has love for Yeager, but Lang denies it. Lang claims that Yeager is 18, so he's on his own. Larry confides in Lang for being involved in a situation that he's afraid of, including his talk with Andi that acknowledges that the Faceless are upset with him. Larry thinks everyone knows he snitched, Lang wants him to get undercover for his safety. Lang suggests killing Barty Banks as a guise for faking Larry's death, Larry agrees. Lang heads to bed in his cells after giving his knife and slushies away.
