1/21/2024 Kick Recap - "Sausage, not Hostage"
Lang runs into Larry and laughs at his disguise. While dropping off a money run, Ilya pulls up on Lang and is surprised he's working alone. Lang stops by the food court and insults both of the booths, Martha offers him food and says that her booth isn't run by Hydra. On his way out, he gets into an argument with a homeless man who tries to detail Lang's car. Lang presses him for being useless, Ilya calls to meet, so they meet under the pier. Ilya asks Lang for his thoughts and progress on him joining the North, unsure how much time he has. Ilya thinks having a meeting with the Dons to discuss if it's possible for him to be brought in, Lang considers it.
Liya tells Lang that she's been selling her weed to other crews for cheap while they were setting things up, Lang presses her for doing it without approval. Lang calls Martin to meet, but he's boosting. Martin fixes Lang's car at Tuner, Cuddles calls for Lang to meet her at the airport alone. Martin and Lang chat about Tony's repair shop being blown up, Lang leaves to meet cuddles and warns them that he might die. Cuddles thanks Lang for meeting and has a polite discussion about re-uniting Cypress. She respects Lang's ability to lead, and tells him about the watch business she started with Luciano called "Watch Your Mouth", handing him a watch. Lang doesn't think the Dons will re-unite to be under him, and tells her the story about Harry refusing to help Lang if he was shot. Cuddles pulls out a helicopter to show that she nearly has her flight school approved. Lang gives her a ride back to town, and thanks her for not killing him.
Lang calls Clark to see how the war's going, Liya gets permission to cuss at 4Head, Lang gets a molotov from CJ to throw at the Besties 'Car Shop'. Lang and CJ cook up a plan to pour gas on the cars and throw the molly, but it doesn't do anything. They are chased by the cops nearby as a result, Lang doesn't want Martin's help because he turned off the radio. Lang and CJ hop in his car and he cooks the cops, hiding in the southside. They return to the Besties shop and pour more gas on the cars in hopes to blow them up, but their efforts are wasted. The cops arrive and let them leave, Lang considers shooting the gas can, CJ calls around looking for grenades. Saab and Liya group up with them, they get more gas cans and try again, successfully blowing up a few cars on the lot.
Liya suggests getting the Sultan painted, Lang nearly does it until a cop pulls into Mosley's and spooks them. Lang calls Clark to say that they blew up the cars, Arush tried to bulldoze them, and everyone nearly went to jail when they tried to push the block. They crash Lang's car outside the food court, and somehow it breaks through the wall and gets stuck in the Slime Shack food stall. Lang masterfully drives it out, everyone is impressed. Lang calls Marlo to get car parts, Marlo says they're watching something in the theatre, so he brings everyone to Hades' cinema room.
CJ guesses the password and they break into the room, Lang accuses them of watching porn, but they're watching a roleplay edit. Lang wants to review his own films, so he grabs some cash and opens a theatre room. Liya asks Lang if he's a crow, Lang denies it. Lang puts on Lebron Highlights, Lebron appears and bows at the front of the theatre. Lang doesn't believe them, Hades joins their theatre room. Lang quizzes everyone about Lebron and gives detailed facts about the GOAT. Lang calls Marlo to build his new engine, but it takes 24 hours, so he offers to pay half now half later. They pour gas on Officer Quangle's car and speed off, Zeek calls looking for equipment, but Lang claims he left everything behind when he split. They return to the scene of the crime and get pulled over, Lang tries to barter his way out of the arrest. Lang flees, and escapes the cops.
