1/23/2025 Kick Recap - "I Miss Fat Saab Already"
Lang runs some errands, Robin calls to confirm his appearance at court for their case soon. Lang takes his Turismo to Mosley's and gets a spoiler added, to see if it performs better. He arrives early to court and banters with Robin about the PD. Court begins and Lang learns that they're mostly here for a petty case, after some CFX issues, both sides take the stand and determine that they were both wrong. Judge Greyson is upset that Lang didn't have any supporting evidence for his case, but agrees that the PD did admit to not providing Lang the legal information in a timely matter, therefore issuing 10k to Lang. Lang and Robin speak with the judge, Lang more so pressing that his parts were worth more than a million dollars, but Greyson argues that if Lang had any proof of that, he would gladly issue higher fines. Lang growls in frustration, Greyson tells Lang that he's not afraid of his bullish tactics.
On the way out, Lang chats with CJ always being around. CJ tells Lang that Larry is chasing someone down for comparing his new look to Pitbull. Lang heads to Tuner to meet Marlo for the new engine. They aren't sure if the engine is going to fit, Marlo tries to make it work. Lang get a call from Bruce who offers Lang a bunch of stage 5 parts and a 100mm Turbo, for free. Bruce arrives and hands off the parts, Lang offers to pay, but Bruce pulls him aside to thank Lang for his respect and mentions that he's been working into South Cypress. He would gladly give these parts to Lang (don), on behalf of the crew. Lang test drives the Turismo with the new engine, and then gets Marlo to install the new parts.
Tony calls to ask what lang paid for parts, Lang is happy with the performance on the Turismo, and heads to the bodega to meet Larry and Skipper. Lang watches as Skipper scuffles with Carlos in the bodega, Larry breaks them up. Carlos complains to Skipper that he got ghosted after giving him PNY cards weeks ago. Jonah calls Lang old, Lang presses him for the disrespect, but brushes it off. Lang checks with Skipper, who admits to be sleeping in Lang's office and using the TV to game.
Lang returns to the Forge, Tony compliments Lang's car, Larry calls to say he picked up two randoms off the street to try and teach them the ways. Larry reminds Lang that he killed Dubois, but Lang thinks that only happened because of the snitching. Lang reminds Larry that he's marked for death, and asks him to bring Skipper to help clean some cash. Marlo calls to see if North Cypress has any equipment to trade, Lang will check and call him back. Lang gets his money run done, they pit CJ in Lang's new car and crash it. Lang wants to hit Paleto, so they grab supplies and head back up north.
Paleto was already hit, Osvaldo calls about a 'capture the flag' type event he's having next friday, Lang signs up. They get another quick money run done, Saab joins them for a Fleeca. Ilya calls to say that he had a long talk with Clark, about the meeting with the Dons, and the suggestion of Ilya joining the North. Ilya wants to ask the South if they have issues with him working with the North, presenting the idea like it solely came from him, so that Lang doesn't get grief over it. They have to kill time for the Fleeca, so they do a few boosts. After a bit of banter, Lang takes everyone by the food court to get replenished before the Fleeca.
CJ mentions losing her Guardian (the truck Lang drove) last night after the chase. Lang reminisces about his high school days while they grab a hostage, but gets pulled over by Officer Carmine. Carmine tries to intimidate them, but Lang hops out and fights him until he drives off. Saab gets Junior (Lang and CJ's boss) as their hostage, Lang quickly drives to the clothing store to get a mask. They arrive at the Fleeca, Lang and CJ hide while Skipper asks Junior about them. Lang takes off his suit and get's mostly naked, in case Junior recognizes him.
