1/24/2025 Kick Recap - "Welcome To The Club"

Lang gets deagle mags, CJ updates Lang on her time with Norman. CJ explains that Norman has her bring people to make deals with him, so she brought Rocco. For every person she brings, he trades a name of someone to save. She started with saving Skipper, CJ continues to say that Norman had her clean his car, so she thinks its an internship. Lang is concerned with her time in the city, and the potential of her disappearing once she burns out. CJ offers Lang some coke, Lang does a line. They are surprised by Liya, but CJ thought Saab killed her. Liya tries to get updated, CJ thinks that Larry started a war with the Vagos. They head out to do some errands.

Ilya calls to say he's spoken to Arush and the Dons are willing to have the meeting. Lang asks CJ and Liya about Ilya joining the North, they have no issue with it. CJ gets a call from SecuroServe to help be security for a store, Lang is down. Lang suggests having a Cypress Court for Ilya, to make things look less biased on his end. After starting up an Oxy run poorly, Lang calls Clark to banter while he waits for the customers. Clark says they're keeping watch for the Besties, Lang asks Clark if he would save him, Clark claims he would.

Clark says that the Besties want 3m for all the time Future and some of their members spent in jail, Lang is astonished. Lang makes it sound like he's going to get robbed, Clark offers to come help. Lang heads to the next location and finds CJ, they chat about her losing street cred for not blowing up that cop car yesterday. Lang gets a new vehicle in case CJ is scuffed, they return to the Forge and find Rocco who is curious about the owner of a car that crashed into him. Lang hops out and presses Rocco to leave, shooting at him and his tires as he drives off. CJ tells Lang that was the Rocco she took to the lighthouse, so she has to keep him alive or else her task is failed. CJ calls Rocco to talk him down from the panic and spiraling he's doing, Lang threatens to kill him.

Lang and CJ head to the Kortz Center, on the way, Lang tells CJ about the famous phrases of the past, discussing their meaning and interpretation. Lang arrives and gets directions for the event, passing Carmine on the way. Lang runs into Max and Sofia, reminding her that they're nothing without her. Lang complains that Skipper doesn't do anything, so he has a new target, CJ begs for him not to. Lang sits and waits patiently, something happens behind him, but CJ and Sofia claim nothing happened. Nino begins the town hall requesting questions from the public.

Lang overhears that the North is getting into fights outside, so he runs out and kicks Carmine who is down on the way out. CJ got into a fight with Officer Trigg who was arresting Larry, Lang thinks Larry should have been arrested. They run around outside avoiding the police, Sofia and Liya pick them up. Lang wants to return to the event, they tell CJ to give them notice next time she wants to fight someone. Lang waits patiently to speak about VAFs, the structure, and how it can be changed. Nino claims they are working on new legislation to replace the VAF system, which separates violent acts and street racing. Lang thanks Nino and starts complaining about Carmine on the microphone until he's escorted off.

CJ texts Lang that Officer Trygg got her license revoked, so she wants to crash out. Tony gets on the stage and performs a song about Nino, Lang hands off the important things in his pockets to Sofia, in case he gets arrested. Larry, in disguise, complains about having a restaurant that doesn't really work. Nino wants to bring in ADHD medication to help people like Larry get focused on getting their businesses working properly. Different people speak about issues they have with the city, including the expectations of the Casino opening soon.

After many texts with CJ, Lang walks outside to see her chatting with Officer Trygg, and shoots him in the head shouting "Northside did it to ya!". Lang and CJ flee in the Karuma, the cops chase and shoot at them. CJ tells Lang that was the coolest thing she ever saw. Lang tries to escape the cops, but bleeds out and falls out of the car near the hospital. The police find and arrest him, Lang is distraught about losing the car, Saab joins him in being arrested after trying to help during the chase. Lang and Saab are in the BCSO cells, Lang realizes he still has his phone and radio so he calls CJ. CJ is worried that Trygg is dead, but Lang doesn't care since he shot him CEO-style. He tells her to save the car, and hangs up. CJ texts that Bubbles saved the car, Lang stirs by texting back that he's going to jail for life. Lang gets fined 36k and sent up for 55 months.

Cassie tells Lang that the DOC were making fun of him, handing off a knife. Lang formally meets Cassie and remembers that she runs the Lifers. Cassie helps Lang chase around the DOC, Lang stabs one of the guards as he's being shot at. He climbs onto a nearby roof and passes out from the blood loss. Once Lang is back on his feet, the DOC put him in a cell to clean it, Larry tries to tell the guards to let Lang go. Lang knocks out one of the guards and dunks them in the toilet. Leonard Knox and Jonah are in visitation looking for Larry, Lang goes to get Larry, who wants to be a bulldog next week.

Cassie checks with Lang, Lang asks if he can join her gang, and she approves. Lang offers for Cassie to join Northside, Cassie reminds Lang that her and CJ are bestfriends. Cassie tells Lang that she's interested in breaking out, but she was following the advice that Nino and her friends Sebastian gave her (Saab). Lang offers to help break her out, intending to put a group together for it. Cassie agrees to let Lang help, they will follow up. Lang finds the rest of the North in visitation, lying about starting West Cypress, and that he traded 'something' to not get life in prison.

Lang takes applications for people to join his new gang at window one, Larry tells everyone that Dexx is a hangaround for Hades now. Bubbles tells Lang that they got the car out, Lang is acting emotional about everyone 'not visiting him', so he returns to the cafeteria for prison work. Cassie brings Lang a DOC guard who helps lower his time, Lang is impressed. He doesn't want a ride from the crew, but Lang finally gets in the car with his prison bike. They stop by the hospital to get Bubbles some care, Lang makes fun of the clowns outside. Sofia joins them, but is confused about Lang's poor attitude. They return to the Forge, Lang presses Larry for making a catchy song (Lang Buddha sells Heroin to Kids), Max texts Lang that he's got some booze for him.

Lang takes a ride from CJ to Liquid Library, noticing that she's sniffling from all the coke she's been doing. Lang sends her away, meeting with Max in hopes that he can be toured around the secret areas of the Liquid Library, but Max doesn't have keys anymore. Lang claims he doesn't spend time missing things that are gone, and then gives Max some quotes. Lang deliberately confuses the hell out of Max, and then leaves suspiciously.

Lang bikes all the way to Rooster's Rest and pings CJ. Lang sits with CJ at the front of the restaurant, chatting about the future. Lang asks CJ if she's the chosen one, because everyone seems to call her and involve her in things - similar to Yuno of the past. CJ thinks that Yuno had a lot of good things happen to him, but she just gets in trouble. Lang tells CJ that life is all about making issues for other people, and tells her that he plans on giving Cassie a new life with Northside. Lang thinks he lost his edge, and that he's a chill guy now. CJ understands and appreciates all that Lang has done for her, especially for shooting Trygg.

Lang warns CJ that if they get caught on the prison break, they'll get sent away for a very long time. Lang wants to bring Clark, Martin, and maybe Saab if he still has his DOC job. CJ is tasked with getting a new identity for Cassie, and more ammo for the guns they have. Lang wants to give Cassie the basement to hide in, CJ thinks the Rest is better than prison, but Lang takes her on a tour to show her that it's a different kind of prison.

Lang walks her through the tunnels, reminding her that she nearly got killed many times. Lang warns CJ about entering the basement, and that everyone who has is dead, or gone crazy. Lang tells her about the potential ghosts that might reside here, including a cat who was his protégé. Lang speaks about the power of the book, and it's ability to draw you to it. Lang wants to leave, but CJ is eager to persist. Lang tell her not to touch the book, she repeats it. They see the book from across the room, Lang tries to stand between her and it, warning her of the evil it contains. Lang makes her go back, CJ seems hesitant but listens. Lang takes her to see the mask, commenting on his hopes that his son would one day wear it. Lang claims he never wore it, and decides it's time to leave. They run out of the basement, back to the tunnels. They return to the street, Lang let's CJ leave, closing the door behind her and returning to the basement.
