1/27/2024 Kick Recap - "Pas Pas Passed Away"

Lang takes all of the deagle mags that Sofia made. He finds all the kickup money (300k) in his safe, and takes it to the bank. CJ calls to say she's trapped in the apartment elevator, Lang runs into Larry on the way to help. Lang tries to help CJ out of the elevator, after much trial and error, they are finally safe. Larry calls to say Locco shot down South Cypress before the storm, Lang finds it strange, but he's down to deal with it. Lang calls Luciano back, who gives Lang the same info about Locco acting on revenge. Zeek calls to say that the war with the Besties is over, and offers his help if the North gets into a fight, but Lang doesn't need it. Lang texts the North about the potential conflict.

Lang climbs the water tower to keep a look out, CJ comes up to chat with him about her weekend. CJ starts by telling Lang that Edgar is dead, for good. CJ says she was lectured by the ghost of TJ Walker, Lang thinks she's crazy. CJ met Yeager over the weekend and repeated the quote, and he threatened to kill her if she repeated it. Lang advises that she stab Yeager the next time she sees him, but she's confused. Lang thinks that once his kids are able to take care of themselves, they aren't his kids anymore. Lang tries to say that his quote is famous, since Yeager remembers it. Lang ask CJ if she's ever kept a secret before, she laughs it off. Lang doesn't believe that Edgar is dead, he twats about it and calls Jay to ask.

Lang tries to joke with Jay, but Jay is taking it seriously. Jay tells Lang that Edgar had to kill Sonya in order for him to live, but he refused. Jay brought Sonya to the lighthouse to kill, but failed to save Edgar. Lang presses Jay for killing Edgar, Jay threatens Lang for disrespecting Edgar. Jay can't find his body, so they believe Edgar is in Hell. Lang offers to throw Edgar a funeral, Jay agrees. Lang gathers up the North to help plan the funeral, CJ mentions that this is what happens to people who don't do what Norman asks, and reminds Lang of her deal. Lang doesn't think Norman is very powerful, since he texts people instead of using telepathy. Lang finds it interesting that CJ is intertwined in so many things. Lang tries to contact Pixie Plum in order to get CJ some help, but CJ doesn't think she's crazy.

Lang calls Jay back, reporting that it's going to cost 475k for the funeral- Jay agrees. Lang takes CJ to the cemetery, Yeager calls to meet. Yeager arrives while Lang is preparing the casket, he warns Lang that someone is talking about "a terrorist organization running out of the Rooster's basement". Lang jokes about seeing Yeager once every few months, Yeager has done all that he's wanted to in the city. Yeager leaves, Lang calls Jay to come down since the funeral is ready. Jay arrives with the Besties, Lang encourages Larry to give a good speech that seals the deal, offering him 50k for helping.

Lang gives a mediocre speech before handing off the podium to Larry. Larry rambles on and delivers impactful quotes that we've heard before, but gives his best pastor cosplay. Lang calls Jay up, who shares how Edgar changed his mindset of his purpose in the city. Lang rushes Jay off, and calls up Brandon Valentino next. Valentino speaks of Edgar's class and the way he operates, thanking Lang for their meeting. Valentino thanks Jay for funding the funeral, and offers to use this moment as bridge to repair conflicts that 3 Pas might have. Lang gives the final words, thanks all their sponsors, and has everyone shoot their guns into the air.

Jay asks about the food being catered, Lang offers to get it set up. Gathering up the North to help, they set up a food truck by the cemetery parking lot. Jay is impressed with the production, CJ pulls Lang aside eager to bring in more funeral business. After serving the food, Jay thanks Lang again, and everyone leaves. Lang meets with Ilya to chat shortly before they go.

Ilya arrives and recaps the chats he had with Clark and Arush. Clark suggested that Ilya joins the North, but Arush doesn't give his blessing since he'll be forced to bring back Stevie. Lang and Ilya agree that the Dons won't agree to bring Ilya back in, Lang finds it difficult to go against the decision they made. Ilya says that he understands if Lang can't take him, or see more worth in him. Lang asks for a day to digest everything.

Lang drives back to Cypress and calls for a meeting in the Refinery. Lang tells everyone about the Locco revenge party, and that he spoke to Ilya. Lang doesn't think he's bringing Ilya to the North because the Dons are going to use it to bring back treasonists. Sofia asks if they are working on gathering more FIB documents, but Lang has them all stashed already, he would rather focus on money.

Lang leaves, Larry calls him back because something important happened, but Sofia wants to talk to Lang first. Sofia tells Lang that she's been doing some jobs with Hydra in the mornings, and mentions a messy moment with a bank truck. Lang asks why she's hanging out with Hydra, and suggests that she stops before it gets complicated.

Lang meets with Larry, who thinks that his disguise is useless and he's still in trouble with the Faceless. Larry and Bubbles met with a State Marshall, Lang highlights how bad it already looks. Larry continues to say that the Faceless kidnapped a judge (Baeric) and confirmed that Larry had a statement discussing the Faceless. The Marshall's contacted Larry in hopes to keep him safe, but Larry laughed it off in hopes to deny the truth of it. Larry tested what the Marshall knew, and they knew Larry AND Lang were marked. Lang and Larry discuss the differences in the coloured cards, coming to the decision that they shouldn't be in any more trouble now that Edgar is dead.

Lang calls Clark to chat bout the prison break, pinging him to the hydro fields. Nino calls to chat, Lang will head over after his talk with Clark. Lang and Clark speak about what Ilya said, Clark is confused claiming he never suggested for Ilya to join the North, nor was he involved in the Don talk with Ilya. Lang argues that Clark is learning to be more stupid from the South Dons. Clark asks Lang if he knew Ilya was going to speak to the Dons, but Lang lies and says that it was entirely up to work on. They argue for a long time about what Lang wanted and what he thinks is best for Clark, eventually leading to telling Clark that he's planning on breaking Cassie out of prison. Lang thinks this is an expendable mission, so they're keeping it a secret. Also, she's joining the North. Clark is fine with her joining Cypress, but suggests that she would be great in the South.

Lang calls Saab to confirm if he still has his job, he doesn't. Lang meets with Nino to chat about everything going on with Edgar and the Faceless. Nino gave Valentino his phone back, and then knows that Norman killed Edgar. Nino was contacted by the Faceless since then, and they seem to be aware of his history. Nino mentions that Lang can invoice the state for Edgar's Funeral. Lang and Nino discuss the deep rooted history they have, and Nino jokes about owing Norman Bones the bounty money for killing Edgar. Lang calls Jay Hobbs to meet and finalize the payment, Yeager calls to see if Lang killed Edgar. Lang defers to Jay, but Yeager doesn't want to speak to Jay ever. Lang meets with Jay who hands off 250k extra for the funeral. Lang returns to Cypress and puts 100k in Larry's box, 25k in everyone else's.

Larry wants to start a new empire, specifically involved with Fentanyl. Lang heads to the Tuner shop to get the parts stripped from the Karuma, but banters with Officer Charles about being white-haired. A mechanic arrives and begins work on Lang's car, Buddha mentions that the mechanic system should get more depth once 5.0 is playable, and then suffers from a chain of internet disconnections
