2/12/2025 Kick Recap - "Only Business, Not Personal"

Lang wakes up to a suspicious text, but realizes that it's Clark. Clark calls, Lang is disappointed there's no drama. CJ runs into Lang at the Forge, she's sick. Lang takes some washed cash to a club, before calling Arush to meet. Lang and Arush chat in the Nest about issues with Gigi and the South, Lang understands too well. Arush tells the story: Gigi gets kidnapped by the Besties, the South crashes out and breaches their heist, trying to rescue her. She confuses everyone by trying to say she is friends with them (the Besties) and that it's okay, in that moment the Besties shoot Cypress down. They hold her accountable for the issue, both Lang and Arush noting that she's infamous for being a wordsmith. Arush thinks that since the split, Gigi has wanted to be with the North. They're happy to have her, but they don't want her assistance in making Cypress look stupid. Lang and Arush chat about Clark's frustration, and his realization of how to be a better underboss. Arush doesn't think this is real drama, but he will gladly kill anyone for making his life more difficult.

Larry calls to invite Lang to a fentanyl event happening soon, reminding him of the process and the availability of the product. Lang calls Clark to the Nest to chat. Clark begins by saying that he lied when Lang called, his intention was to progress to one of the options they spoke about months ago, involving Cypress leadership. While exploring the Ron Oil heist, Luciano reminisced about the memories in the Legion Square park. He told Clark, unprovoked, that he would love to work with all the Dons again. Clark continues to re-tell the story about trying to save Gigi, and his conflict with how she handled it. He remembers Gigi talking about the South going soft, but Clark tried to show her that this situation adds to them looking soft, when he would want people to be rescued no matter what.

Lang and Clark discuss how smart Gigi is, and how her position makes it tough to punish without setting a greater precedent. Lang shares that Gigi voiced her distance and opinion about the South a couple weeks ago, and his issue with that. Clark and Lang agree that discussions like this are important, and hope that Gigi is reprimanded (not blooded out) for these issues. Clark circles back to Lang leading Cypress, or at least coming to a meeting - but Lang disagrees, never wanting to lead Harry or Luciano, again. Lang is happy with the North, even if there is back and forth - it helps give him perspective. Clark isn't happy to hear that Lang feels this way, but understands. Lang asks about Sofia, Clark is often confused with their closeness and clarity. Lang claims that he can't read Sofia, Clark agrees noting her hanging out with Hydra and the conflict she had with Capono. Lang asks about Capono, impressed with his mentality towards holding Sofia accountable.

Lang picks up CJ and joins the fentanyl event with her, faking like he was looking for the vehicle this entire time. Lang confides in CJ about his concerns with Martin not being around, and Saab potentially fitting the role. CJ tells Lang about Nino wanting to buy back the light house land, while still fighting the state on her behalf - she doesn't mind holding it until it's resolved. They find a car, bring it to Cypress and hide it while they wait for the trunk timer. Lang and CJ head to the Nest to continue their chat, spilling about the Clark talk and Lang leading Cypress. CJ agrees with Clark's opinion about Sofia, noting that she loves to stir. Lang comes to the realization that he is unaware of these things, stressing more about his need for an Underboss. CJ asks why Lang wouldn't either take Clark or just lead Cypress, but Lang jokes about how many people he'd have to kill for a start. Lang wants an Underboss for conversations like this, and was pleased with Martin because he played advocate the best.

CJ hopes that his talk with Sofia was enough to keep her safe, but she believes Sofia is faithful to the North. Larry calls everyone down to tell them he has enough product to do a few runs. Lang pulls Saab into the refinery to chat, Saab begins by mentioning that Martin already joked about taking time away and giving his Underboss role to him. Lang had no idea this happened, and is slightly worried that it happened in front of the North. Lang tries to imply that Saab is now the next person up for the role, Saab is too clueless to get it. Once Saab realizes, he vows to handle the role responsibly. Lang is happy to lead alone, he just wants someone to help give him perspective and make tough decisions.

Sofia wants to chat with Lang in the Nest. She was called by Marshall Dark who was outside of the Refinery, to inform her that dead rats have been infesting the area and causing people to get sick. Lang seems suspicious of Dark, since he called Sofia after running her car plates from being parked outside. He jokes with Sofia about them not having enough rep to do the fentanyl runs, Sofia offers Lang to push weed but he refuses. Sofia mentions that she does some jobs with the South in the morning, and spends time with Zeek, but he's not around much these days (pc issues). Sofia falls off the Nest, so Lang takes her to the hospital. She asks what he's doing for Valentines Day, but Lang plans on listening to PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake's new album (me too). Lang tells the Northerners that they have to get their street cred up, Tony calls to chat.

Tony tells Lang about Liya owning the Redline Auto Parts shop, but Zeek has keys. Tony doesn't remember giving Zeek keys, recalling that he doesn't work for the shop. He wonders if Zeek has been yoinking parts or materials from the shop, and how he should handle this conflict. Lang reads through the list of people with access, Tony has his reasons for each person except Zeek. Lang thinks he should investigate it further, and bring it up to the South Dons. CJ tells Lang to kill some time until their job, so Lang calls the cops on Saab and the boys pushing weed out of the Hookah Lounge. Officer Brian Knight comes by to investigate, bantering with Saab and the boys about the 911 call. Lang takes his mask off and gets chased by the police, so he bikes over to his car and loses them quickly. On the run, he continues to call the cops anonymously on Saab's Lounge.

Lang gets changed and meets the Northerners at the Fleeca. Sofia tries the first hack, asking for Lang's advice, but can't get it done. Lang does the hack and returns to his car, leaving them to loot the bank. The cops don't arrive, so he watches from a safe distance. Lang flames Hank for being useless on the radio, and returns to Blarney's (Saab's Lounge). Lang spends the rest of the day trying to hang up a Brazilian flag, Luciano, AK AK, and Queenie come by and check out the Lounge. Lang takes them to see his Nest. Luciano and Queenie laugh about how much he has built up, Lang offers them to come by any time. Queenie notices that the telescope is looking right at the Stables, but Luciano thinks Lang's just looking out for them.

Luciano sends Queenie off to have a quick one on one with Lang, Lang tells him about Larry's family moving in. Lang offers to set up spots like the Nest for places in the South, inviting Luciano to come hang out any time. Luciano tells Lang that he stopped by Legion Square park today, reflecting on their past. Lang tells Luciano about how he ran from the court case, so he's got a warrant. They return to the Lounge, Lang asks about Harry who's knee deep in the new heist. Lang finally hangs up the flag, Luciano calls back to say wholesome things about their friendship, Lang agrees and reminds him that he loves him. Lang loses 10k to dice, shoots hank from the crane, and then heads to bed.

Buddha teleports to Clark and messes with his vehicle, before flying to the clowns and exploding parts of their house.
