2/18/2025 Kick Recap - "Haste Will Lead To Waste"
CJ comes by to tell Lang about finding and killing Gemma last night. Her and Skipper stabbed her, melted her body in the Forge, and took her ID for Cassie to have. Lang questions CJ's empathy, or remorse, but CJ reminds him that she's done worse. Bubbles and Skipper radio that their guns have broken down, Lang takes them to check on the stuff they left in the shed by the Rest. Lang notices his warrant has fallen off, they grab cleaned money from a run and drop things back at the Forge.
They find Sofia sulking about things missing from the warehouse, Lang and her grab food and joke about her patience. Sofia tells Lang about Frank's being sold, and he realizes that he should be getting a cut. He calls Arush to demand his split (500k), and then argues about the math. Sofia got a call from Wyatt, who wants explosives to start a furniture war, Lang is surprised Wyatt's still around. Lang meets Arush at the bank for the exchange, he quietly asks for a big order of ammo. They both notice that Sofia was listening to their conversation, Lang get's suspicious of her.
Lang and Arush chat on the phone about how they handle the North and South. Arush tells a story about the SBS fight they had before storm, and then the South all getting warrants. They were visiting Franky in the ICU, and the cops tried to arrest everyone at the hospital, causing another shootout with intense fines. Arush told the cops that he's looking for some re-imbursement or threatens to make things worse for them, Lang is impressed with how he's handling it. Lang yells at the North over radio for being lazy, and then reams out Saab as he's waking up.
Lang calls 4Head for mags for the rifles he got last night, 4Head calls back from the secure line, and they make small talk as Lang heads over to the shed to check which rifles he got. Lang asks about how the Besties got their name, and nearly tells 4Head about his ex-wife, but he doesn't want to hear it. Lang tells 4Head what rifles he got, and they agree to a price for a bunch of mags. Lang will be contacted when they're ready to be picked up, he returns to the Forge and crashes into Skipper's car out of anger. Kitty calls to give Lang a key to her warehouse, he takes Saab with him.
Lang's key isn't working, but he gets stuff to hit Paleto. Lang and Saab head up north to check, Arush calls to agree to a price and get's Lang's ping for the ammo exchange. Tony calls to check in, asking if he can get his hands on a rifle or some mags as well. Lang and Saab gather up a group for Paleto, and meet at the bank with the hostage. Lang successfully hacks the vault door, but begins to get anonymous pings for one of the two equipment exchanges. CJ hacks the back and they give all the loot to Sofia, Lang banters with the hostage, requesting his legal help later.
They flee the bank, Lang drives pretty well, and they attempt a few blocks. Eventually they decide to swap out Sofia, Tony picks her up and cooks, Lang loses the cops and leaves CJ very impressed with his driving. Lang gets changed and picks up some cash, driving to the grapeseed airport and meets a pilot who takes him on a flight. The pilot hands him a parachute, that doesn't work, and forces him to jump out of the plane. Lang lands in the water injured, but makes it to the island for the magazine exchange. After getting all the equipment, he swims to shore and calls CJ to pick him up by the light house.
Saab and CJ take Lang back into the city, they stop by the shed to drop the mags off. On the way to Cypress, Sofia and Martin radio that they're fighting the cops at the Forge. CJ relays that Sofia was being detained in the Nest, Martin was protecting them, but things settled down and the cops left. Sofia radios for Lang to sell the cargo card, since it's already half expired- he wants to sell it to the South, but nobody is around.
