2/26/2025 Kick Recap - "Maybe It's Destiny"

Lang grows frustrated with the lack of money and magazines in the Forge storage. He runs into Hank outside Blarney's, who's pushing weed. Lang tries to sell some weed, Arush calls to report that he's killed some cops, Lang asks for 1000 deagle bullets. Liya comes by to convince Lang that everything will be okay, he is just having a britney moment. Lang takes Hank to show him how to roof run, he takes Clark's number and calls him for information, but Clark isn't around today. CJ tells Lang about a cash exchange heist, so they leave to do that instead. Bubbles is late, so Hank comes for the job. Luciano calls to meet, Lang offers to chat later.

Hank gets a hostage (CJ's therapist) who is mute. Lang banters with the hostage about how he's able to order at drive-thru's. Once they successfully hack the back, they grab the loot and the cops let them go without chase. Lang remembers that Arush just shot cops in Cypress, so they might be busy. Lang gets anonymously pinged to a van, where he finds a folder in the trunk from the Faceless. Inside the folder are pictures of the Rooster's Rest, and the shed door attached to the tunnels. Lang takes the folder and puts it in his office, heading back out to meet Arush for the ammo.

The North gets ready to hit a jewelry store/bank truck, Lang calls CJ to the Forge and gives her the Faceless folder, driving off without a word. Lang joins the crew who successfully hit the jewelry store, and then ping him to the bank truck. The guards are extremely scuffed, nobody can see them while they're being shot After figuring it out, Hydra pulls up to counter them while they're robbing it. Lang and Cypress hide on nearby roofs, shooting at anyone that approaches. Hydra leaves, Cypress decides to leave with half the loot so that they can secure most of it. They drop everything off at the Forge, and go back to grab Bubbles who went down. While they're there, they loot the rest of the bank truck.

Larry gets a call from Flippy apologizing for the conflict, they were busy doing an S boost and some of his members thought it was a good idea to break off and counter the bank truck, but he reamed them out for it. Lang calls Luciano to meet, they head to the Vinewood Bowl. Luciano heard that CJ is being watched heavily regarding the jailbreak, including Cypress being covered in cameras. Lang tells Luciano they broke Cassie out of jail, and the heat in Cypress isn't helping. He tells Luciano about the Besties and his plans to snitch on them. Luciano warns Lang that they might even put a camera in CJ's car, Lang wants to investigate the Marshall's a bit more.

CJ calls to chat, Lang agrees to meet at the winery. Lang is too suspicious of the cars in the parking lot, so he drives CJ down to the coast and they chat under a bridge. CJ isn't necessarily concerned about the Faceless folder because there's nothing incriminating in it, nor are there actual photos of them at the Rest. Skipper calls to report that the Besties are slow rolling Cypress in a van, Lang and CJ drive back to the city. By the time they arrive, Larry tells everyone it's settled since they shot Zuck already. They have a short meeting in Blarney's where they discuss if they're at war with the Besties, and Lang reminds everyone to shoot cops on sight in Cypress. Lang heads to the Nest to keep an eye out, but Cassie calls to meet.

CJ arrives at the Nest telling Lang that Saab just told her that Cassie is marked by the Faceless. Lang is frustrated that he told her before him, so he calls Saab to threaten him about it. Lang and CJ spiral slightly about what this meeting could be about, they drive up to the quarry and begin their chat with Cassie. Cassie begins by telling them that she was pinged to the Faceless card anonymously, immediately after leaving CJ.

Cassie continues: She went to the food court to get food, Hades kidnapped her and in efforts to prevent that, Cassie revealed her identity and her fake identity. Lang and CJ are in disbelief, but Cassie argues that she's never been taken hostage before. Lang and CJ discuss what to do for a very long time, they come to the decision of killing her. CJ suggests letting her go for a bit, regroup, and then kill her. Lang agrees, CJ tells her to go get a new disguise and persona, they will call her back to meet soon.

Lang and CJ put on their funeral outfits, he makes fun of her style choice. Lang cooks up a cool scene for killing Cassie, finding a tugboat and anchoring it off the coast. He sends CJ to get Cassie, and then calls Saab to come help by acting as a henchman. An eerie fog sets in, Lang waits on the tugboat for them to arrive. As they arrive, the thunderstorm comes with them, flipping their boat and the tugboat in a wild fashion. The thunderstorm fades as Lang gets back into the the smaller boat, picking up Saab, CJ, and Cassie.

They boat out farther, Lang speaks to Cassie at the front of the boat. Lang tells Cassie that he trusted her with secrets some of his closest friends don't know, invited her into his home, and protected her from his family. Cassie understands the circumstances, and what Lang must do. Lang feels regret, but pulls out his gun and shoots her in the head (perma). Cassie's body falls into the water, Saab's eye twitches under his helmet, and they boat away quickly as the fog erases them.

As they arrive on shore, Lang calls the cops anonymously. Grabbing his car, they drive over to the Rooster's Rest and go to the basement table. Lang questions if Ursula will talk now that they killed Cassie, but CJ believes Ursula was more invested in joining Cypress. They discuss if Hades, the other Lifers, and Cassie's boyfriend are all going to suspect Cypress of killing her. Lang believes that he cursed Cassie by bringing her into the Rest. Lang reflects on the curse of Cypress, having to kill every recruit he wants, and then he sees the Ghost of Talon at the end of the table. They discuss what they could have done better, but Lang decides to spend the night in the Rest.

Before they leave, Lang takes CJ into the room with the Book of Talon. He tells CJ that Cassie must have touched the book, and Lang asks if she saw the Ghost of Talon at the table. CJ has no idea what Lang is talking about, but he's sure she touched the book and caused it. Lang is okay with her dying now, requesting that CJ leave the basement. Lang meditates by the book before heading to bed.

Buddha tries to spook Saab and CJ, but doesn't catch them in time. Instead he turns into a crow and stands on Saab's car, they notice the crow as it flies off. Later, he flies by CJ who is getting drunk at a gas station.
