3/3/2025 Kick Recap - "Work Hard, Get Hard"

Lang is pleased to find most of the kickups, equipment, and oxy is in the warehouse from over the weekend. On his way over to the Nest, he notices CJ in her car with a box covering the dog in the passenger seat. Lang pulls out his gun as she drives away, shooting the box. CJ comes by the Nest to check in with Lang a bit later. She sounds like she's in a lot of pain, but claims she's fine. The dog is fine, she thought he'd ignore the dog disguised. CJ was interrogated over the weekend, but gave up nothing. She was taken hostage twice by Ray, she passes on the message of him wanting to hang out. Lang isn't surprised, but isn't interested. Lang is hoping to do Maze Bank since they have a few PNY cards. CJ remembers that she had therapy with Pixie, and doesn't think CJ is crazy. CJ suggests Lang taking a session, but Lang doesn't think it's a good idea if Pixie is enabling CJ's crazy behaviour.

Lang goes to meet Skipper for his engine, Skipper was using it over the weekend, Lang guilts him for it. Lang questions Skipper and CJ's relation, unsure if their story will match up. They test the engine on the Turismo2, but it's marginally worse. Lang wants to see if it will fit in the Mini Cooper, but the engine bay is too small. Lang grabs his STX and brings it to Tuner, hoping that the engine will improve a 4 seater he owns. It doesn't do much, Arush calls to tell Lang that he can buy a boats and planes now. Lang wants to know how much they cost, but Arush saves the discovery for Lang's surprise. Sofia asks about Lang's pets over radio, and why they're not allowed to have a dog. Lang tells them he lost KFC a long time ago.

Lang and Skipper join the Paleto heist that the crew is setting up. CJ isn't feeling well enough, so Lang does both hacks. They find a cargo card and throw it in with the loot, and the chase begins. Lang drives out of his mind for a long time, until they determine it's nearly impossible to lose this many cops AND AIR-1. Tony helps pick up CJ and get's her out, Bubbles returns to his car to help, Lang and Skipper swap to his Turismo2. Lang drops Skipper off and eventually crashes out, having to be scooped by Tony on foot. They lose the cops and hide in Grapeseed, until they flip Tony's car and have to run from the cops on foot again. Lang jumps on the back of a truck trailer and escapes with the aid of a local, Bubbles picks Lang back up and they drive into the city. Skipper is trying to save Lang's Turismo2, since they think it's going to get it's third VAF. They are still being chased by the entire police force, Lang swaps back to Skipper's car, and gets a ride to the scuba gear. He grabs a tank off the shelf and nearly gets cuffed, but takes a ride to the beach and dives into the water. Lang leaves most of his criminal equipment in the water and hides under the docks until the cops find him, AGAIN. He calls Bubbles and meets them on the pier where they pick Lang up, and the chase continues. Lang asks for Tony to prepare a plane for him. They barely make it to the airport, CJ lockpicks them a plane and Lang hops in. Lang flies them high into the sky, finally leaving AIR-1 behind. The plane doesn't have much fuel, so Lang does a few circles and lands it back into the water just short of Cypress. Tony and Sofia pick up who they can fit, but Lang runs into the hills on foot, until he finds his way back to Cypress.

Skipper tells Lang that he sold the card for 320k, Bubbles tells Lang to check his documents for VAFs, the Turismo2 has 1. Lang joins most of the North in a journey to sell the gold bars. They joke about possession of a Class 3 being a 950k fine, CJ shows Lang a twat from Matt Colby, Cassie's best friend. Lang tries to block them, but accidentally re-twats it. CJ is not pleased, everyone brushes it off as a boomer mistake. Lang pulls everyone into the refinery for a meeting, reminding CJ that she can ignore her phone once in a while.

-
Lang begins the meeting be reminding everyone to be mindful of the equipment they take, and to expect a raid if he's been in custody for longer than an hour. Lang wants them to show appreciation to the women they have, for their month, but reminds them that he will still kill them. Lang wants to buy in Hank and Jonah (Jojo) this week, Larry fights for Hank to be first, but Lang promises to do it first and separately. Lang doesn't mind a bit more organization and pooling funds for a boat, a plane, or parts for people's cars. CJ and Saab both mention instances of conflict, but Lang would rather be defensive and respond to escalations.

Lang dismisses the meeting and catches up with Larry. Larry has been busy working, he's earned millions of dollars slinging ammo. Officer Mason Dixie calls to tell Lang that the VAF on the Tursimo2 was rejected (meaning he removed it), as well as Bubbles' car. Lang notices the improvements in Blarney's while he waits for a pick up, and then compliments Randy's car. Lang takes a ride around with the crew as they handle some errands. They stop by an Ammunation for Carlos to pick up his weekly pistol, but it's not time yet. Lang returns to Cypress and then heads to bed.
