3/21/2025 Kick Recap - "Try Your Hardest"

Lang puts some money in his account to get out of debt, and then collects his unemployment cheque (7k). He stops by the food court and gets tacos from a stall that isn't related to a gang. He asks about the bombing that happened recently, but they don't know much about it. Lang returns to Cypress and kills time before storm by speaking to Zeek. Zeek fills Lang in about the Hades vs South Cypress war, Sofia was shot in one of the scuffles. Zeek is looking for some M16s, but Lang thinks he's calling to stir. Lang wonders if it's awkward for Sofia since her boyfriend is in Hades, and reminds Zeek to "take care of it". Larry and Lang make small talk about their cars, Larry didn't know Lang bought the same car, but they still look different.

Lang wakes up after tsunami and yells at Saab until he breaks down the event planned for today. They have a horse rigged ready to win, only they know that information. Larry will be commentating the event, they'll be selling custom beers made, but Hydra won't come unless they unban Courtney from Blarney's. CJ calls to speak to Lang, Lang tells her he's been waiting for her recap in the nest. CJ starts with the mention of the Hades and Cypress conflict, giving better details about them messing with Sofia. This frustrates Lang to the point where he radios that it's on smoke with Hades today. CJ spoke to Isaac about their chat with Alice, and how they noticed she didn't trust them as much. CJ found out through Marlo that Hope, the bird, helps take Alice back and forth to Purgatory. Since then, Alice got stuck because the birds, Noxee and Hope, fought. Lang wants to shoot everyone, but CJ continues to explain what's been happening to Edgar. Edgar is on house arrest since being returned from Purgatory. He is court ordered to not speak to Norman, and not allowed to go anywhere to near the lighthouse. Lang laughs, hoping to visit Edgar on house arrest. For the next part, CJ wants to go somewhere more private. Lang jokes about the gods hearing them no matter where they are, but CJ drives Lang to the Rooster's Rest.

They go through the tunnels and stop at the table in the basement. CJ tells Lang about how she was followed and pinged by ominous figures last night, noticing them either following her or watching her. At some point, she was pinged to the Rest, and followed the suspicious person inside. She followed the footsteps to the bar, finding a book and some spare keys. Lang acts surprised, asking about the book and the keys. Lang reads the book and asks CJ about more details of who she followed, worried that the nerds might be involved. Lang tells CJ to trust Denzel, Ellie, and Jacob, but not the Guild.

They leave to get changed and meet the Northerners at the race track. Lang helps set up the stage and viewing area. Skipper leaves to manage the guests while they prepare, Lang pulls the Knox's aside to make them do a test run. Jojo asks about which one they're rigging to win, Lang acts like he has no idea what he's talking about. Lang begins the event with a few songs and rules, dictating that viewers must pay to watch. Lang calls the cops down to join the event, sharing that Lebron James will be performing at half time. Opal thinks he's washed up, so Lang threatens to shoot her if she's arrives.

The races begin, Bubbles notes that the first one lost them so much money that they have to grab cash from the Forge to pay out. Lang panics and flies in Lebron James early. Lebron flies by in a flying motorcycle, performs two songs, and then leaves. Lang returns, expecting to see Lebron, everyone lies that he is still coming, except for Liya. They have trouble rigging the race, Kai Cenox is constantly winning for his 'image'. Lang gets frustrated and calls the event off, thanking everyone for coming. He announces the next cock fighting event in the sewers, and later meets someone who is interested in sponoring it.

Lang returns to the stage where Lenar Knox is apologizing for ruining the races, Lang pulls out his shotgun and shoots him. The cops chase Lang down, but Saab picks him up and they drive around the track comically for a while until they flee into the city. Lang gets to the food court and hides in the bathroom, until he walks out and leaves with North Cypress.

They return to the Forge, Lang calls for a meeting to determine how much money they lost. They gather in the Refinery, Bubbles tells them that after all of his calculations, they made 7k. Lang's mood flips and he's very pleased with how the event went. They are concerned with Future's twats about them scamming him, and have to meet with 4Head to get the money. Lang wants to roll out on Hades, but they get in the truck and go meet the Besties by the bodega. Bubbles and Larry argue with Future about how much money he owes and what they are owed back, Lang sits in the truck and tries to egg them on for a gang war. Everyone knows that Lang is going on Survival next week, and that he golfs on the weekend, so they don't want to get shot while he's not around.

They head to the bank to get money from 4Head, Liya talks down to the Besties who seem to complain a lot, Larry tries to not have a gang war. Lang returns to Blarney's and calls Arush to wish him Happy Birthday. A customer comes by to to ask about the next event, Lang takes the time to get Saab and the boys working on it while he's away at Survival. Arush comes by to get his gift, Lang puts a grapple gun, jump boots, and some grenades in the box. Arush is pleased, but Lang realizes he has one more gift to give. Arush wants to gamble, so they agree to death roll for 250k. Lang loses and tries to double or nothing, Arush agrees. Lang wins and clears the debt, leaving to get his final gift.

Lang calls everyone down to the Cypress waters to show Arush his final gift, a tugboat. After letting everyone on the ship, Lang gives him keys. Lang returns to Blarney's and jokes with Liya about when her birthday is. He grows offended with whatever event is happening at the Clean Manor, Lang tells Saab to bomb it. Liya asks if the new wall in Blarney's is bullet proof, so Lang sends Jojo behind it and shoots at him through it. They check on Jojo and find him lying on the ground, Lang thinks he killed Jojo until he crawls out. CJ has been in her head for a while, so Lang carries her back to the Forge.

Lang asks if Bubbles knows what's going on at his old house, Bubbles mentions that he used to steal forks from the Clean Manor. Buddha morphs into a chicken to test the fighting he might be doing, he attempts to attack CJ inside the Forge but it doesn't work.Lang calls Saab to get an update, he wants to know who threw the party, Saab tells him that it was December Fooze. Lang heads to bed.
