3/24/2025 Kick Recap - “Survival Episode 1 - "Wife Sentence"

Lang wakes up to urgent texts from Gigi who wants to speak to him, he considers it suspicious. CJ wants to catch up about the weekend, but prefers to do it on the go. They leave the nest and drive to different locations while CJ shares details. Lang notices that she’s wearing shoes, so something must have gone wrong. CJ gets her tarot cards read at the Liquid Library, but noticed that the Blue Mask of the Faceless was listening in. On her way out, he even nodded at her. Worried that there might be a bomb in her car, CJ changes clothes and vehicles. She feels like she's being chased, so she waits in a half-pipe until she returns to the car. She notices that there's a man tied up and left for dead by her car, but leaves in her car. The man blows up as she leaves, spooking her enough to leave one of the cars behind in the exploded aftermath.

Later, Gigi calls to inform CJ about meeting with Edgar. Lang questions this, and CJ's relationship with Gigi as if her being informed would be safe for some reason, but CJ isn't sure. Gigi tells CJ that Edgar wanted help getting 'kidnapped' so he could visit one of the Legion Square buildings. CJ points out the rotating billboard that shows ads for Epsilon and Nest, both companies that appear on the computers and boxes in the Rooster's Rest basement. CJ mentions that she saw Gigi taking pictures on this building, which should include the ads, and isn't sure how relevant it could be to her.

On the way to the Rest, CJ stops in Mirror Park and shows Lang another suspicious billboard. The Faceless twatted out a spell from World of Warcraft that had a magic type of "Shadow". Lang cautions her for saying Shadow aloud, especially when they're in public. Soon after, she ran into Isaac and chatted with him about burn out - Lang thinks she's burning out, too. CJ quickly checks the cameras before leading Lang into the Rooster's Rest. CJ shows Lang the remnants of Cassie's stuff, including a stuffed bear she left named after Epsilon. CJ noticed leftover blood, Lang jokes about her thinking he's Dracula. CJ left some wine on the restaurant counter, Lang reflects at how coincidental that is, but doesn't bother explaining it. She shows him a book about Nu Epsilon, he reads through it as she shows him the connecting dots. Lang questions what Gigi might want to talk about, CJ thinks that Gigi can be trusted and just wants to share her perspective of the Edgar stuff. Lang asks CJ if she's been sleeping at the Rest, she hasn't even been sleeping. Lang heads to Cassie's room to look through the leftover stuff, but calls CJ to to complain about the books of evidence on Cassie. They joke about Lang being a vampire, and CJ thinks that he wasn't a crow, but a bat all along.

Lang wakes up at the Rooster's Rest and waits for CJ to arrive. She brings him some food and then wishes him luck on on the competition today. Lang gets a ride to the Forge to check on a few things before heading to the event location. Lang runs into Liya and bestows his Don powers on to her. Liya is temporary Don for the week, while he's at Survival. Lang radios the change to the people that are awake, and then stops by Blarney's to check out the new room they have access to.

Liya takes Lang to the clothing store, Lang is on the white team, Liya is uncomfortable with Lang's clothing choice. Lang asks Liya for advice while they drive, concerned that he might get eliminated first. Liya thinks that he's a returning star, so he should be kept until the end. Lang tells Liya that she can call the crew and put them to work, so she calls Saab and makes sure he's working. Lang is impressed with her strong nature, considering that it might be too good of a choice. Before she drops him at Fort Zancudo, Lang gives her the codes to the Forge storages and asks her not to spend all the money.

Survival Season 6 (VOD 1:37)

Lang approaches Andi checking in participants by a Jet. Someone looks at Lang confused, since he's in his underwear. Andi asks if Lang is excited or scared, Lang hopes to not speak much and float by. Andi sends him to join the others so they can make small talk and wait for the rest of the players. Lang runs into Rambo (4Head's Character) who complains about having old people on his team. Lang gets a walking stick and hands his phone off to CJ, claiming that he never mentioned killing her in his texts. CJ shows off her bush outfit, and Lang tries to make himself look even older. Lang stands around with the other guests, encountering Eve who compliments his choice on barefoot. Lang meets Rowan Gherkin (mfWarlock's character), he thinks Lang shouldn't be here since he's old. Andi gathers everyone and gives them the layout and the rules.

Lang gets some cream applied to his knees in hopes to keep up the 'disguise'. Andi calls everyone over to test the Jump Boots outside before heading into the challenge. Lang falls asleep while someone tells their story to the camera, they slap him awake, but Lang threatens him. Lang walks away, realizing that he wasn't being very nice. Vicki (LadyDima's character) approaches Lang and asks for his opinion of her sweater, he acts blind. They head in to the first game, Lang takes his time wandering as he looks for idols. The first game is styled like skeeball, the players have to leap into a section of holes and earn points based on where they land. Lang makes a good effort, but misses the target. Blue Team wins, they head to the their camps for discussion. Lang spends time lingering at camp, they take turns blaming each other. Lang spends some time looking around, eventually finding an idol in the trees. He makes small talk with Amadman and Rambo, until they're called to the Tribal.

Everyone sits on the logs in a circle, Vicki has trouble sitting next to Lang. Rambo calls out their team for having poor leadership, Jackson steps up and takes responsibility for leading them. Andi asks if that was his plan, but he explains that his plan was to give them the "impression" that they're bad, when they're actually not. Andi asks the rest of the white team how they plan on determining their votes, a few people think they want to remove people that would worsen their quality of their team. Lang fakes like he's senile again. After spending some time bantering with the white team, Lang waits for his turn to vote. Lang votes for Jackson, informing Andi of his idol and taking a look around the room.

Lang returns to the group, asking them who they voted for and if they have idols. Lang admits to having an idol, but plays it off like his child is his idol. Andi announces the votes: 4 for Jackson, 1 for Lang, and 1 for someone else. Jackson gives his final words, threatening to hunt them down and kill them all. He spits on Rambo and they begin to fight. Lang rips off the beard and stands up straight, lifting the disguise and revealing that he is not old. Lang walks back to the camps with Vicki, telling her he's won before and that he has an idol.

Andi leads them to the next game with haste. They arrive at the stage, Andi explains the challenge as a game of body Pictionary that Eve will judge. The white team huddles up and determines Lang as their leader (nobody else wanted to do it). They lose the Pineapple prompt, win the Fish prompt, win the boat prompt, and then win the torch prompt. The white team wins, Andi shows off the new Survival trophies they got made, and promises one to Lang for his previous win. The teams return to camp, Blue team has to discuss who to vote for. Ribeye admits to Lang that he voted for him in the last tribal council, Lang tells him that he's an expert of Survival. Vicki asks Lang for advice, he offers to protect her.

The blue team returns from Tribal council, having voted December Fooze (Blau) out. Andi gathers everyone as they head over to the construction yard. Lang realizes that he's played these games before. Andi introduces the game as the blindfolded bike race. Lang picks the drivers and the directors, joining Rambo on the bike. Andi takes the directors around and shows them the layout of the race, since it's not as obvious. Lang gets bored and takes his phone back, but as he's trying to focus, he notices crazy text messages come in from North Cypress. Luciano comes by to watch, offering Lang support. The race begins and Lang does a decent job and providing comms to Rambo, ending in second place after another white pair.

The Temporary Don Incident

Lang runs up to talk to CJ, she pulls him aside to tell him what's going on with North Cypress. CJ tells Lang that Liya tasked Jonah with the fentanyl operation, Larry got upset and met with Liya, during their talk Larry pulled his gun, Liya pulled her gun in response and shot Larry, Bubbles responded by shooting Liya. Lang is pleased to hear that they are not prepared to handle things while Lang is away. CJ doesn't understand, so Lang explains how terrible pulling your gun on a Don is. CJ is worried things will implode, but Lang doesn't see another way. Lang explains that being a Don gives you the ability to do wrong things, therefore Larry and Bubbles acted against a Don, regardless of if they were justified in doing it.

Lang returns to the race and hears that the white team won. They are given an advantage of sitting in on the blue team's tribal council, but Lang leaves to deal with the Cypress drama. Everyone returns to the Survival grounds, Lang chats with Ribeye about how allegiances will keep them safe, showing him his idol. Lang leaves with CJ, they head to the Observatory and call Liya to meet them. Lang texts Sofia to 'leave Cypress and hang with her boyfriend in Hades' until things are settled.

Lang and CJ talk about the previous resentment Larry and Bubbles might have had towards Liya still, and that added to the disrespect. Liya arrives suited up, they find a spot to talk, and Liya gives her side of the story. A few details are unique that make things much worse for Larry and Bubbles. Liya tells them that after Larry and her were on the ground, Larry tried to get Bubbles to ocean dump her, so Liya screamed to Sofia on the way to the hospital. Liya didn't think giving Jonah the equipment for fentanyl was an issue because she thought nothing was being taken away from Larry. Liya and Jonah did a fentanyl event by themselves, they even asked Bubbles to help them and he refused. Larry crashed out in her texts, and then in person. Liya took Bubbles and Larry off the Forge panel while they handle this conflict.

Lang pulls CJ to a sidebar and appoints her the new Underboss (w promotion). CJ tries to argue against it, but he needs unbiased assistance. She tries to tell them that her opinion is biased, and she tries to fight for Larry and Bubbles. She thinks Lang intentionally made Liya a don, knowing that they would have had conflict. Lang details Larry's history of crashing out, and the previous times where they nearly killed him before. Lang doesn't think that Larry respected Liya, nor did he respect Lang's Don decision to appoint her. He thinks Larry could have done a million things before pulling his gun in a conversation with Liya, like waiting until Lang was free, or trying to complain and communicate his issue. Instead, he acted rashly and the consequences of his actions are due. CJ tries to argue on their behalf, but she agrees with Lang. She expresses concern about Martin, but Lang thinks Martin's already gone - his opinion doesn't matter. CJ is disappointed, knowing that the right decision is to kill Bubbles and Larry. CJ wants Lang to speak to them today, but Lang thinks it should wait. He tells her to tell Saab and Skipper, and heads to bed.
