4/3/2025 Kick Recap - "Keep It Together"
Lang wakes up to the smell of paint, noticing that his room walls are a new shade of black, blue, and red. Lang and Edgar check in with their parole officers, Edgar wants a note passed on to Dark. Edgar paces around on the phone until tsunami. Lang and Edgar chat about torture and the evil things they've done. Edgar reminds Lang of Dahlia Faye, someone who was afraid of Lang back in the day. Edgar gets a suspicious call about the things that surround him, but decides to ask Lang questions about Talon. Lang describes Shadow, as someone that takes over his self, and someone who takes a form he can speak to. Edgar asks what he is referred to as, Lang explains that Shadow has had different forms and names throughout history, but recently known as the Stormlord.
Edgar asks if Talon required them to be secretive, or if it was Lang's choice - Lang thinks it was both. Edgar reflects on purgatory, asking if Lang knows about the orb. Lang has no idea what Edgar is talking about, so Edgar goes on to explain. One day in purgatory he saw an orb on an alter that felt like a portal to Yeager and Bjorn. He heard them speaking between each other, referencing Lando. Lang becomes extremely interested, Edgar remembers that Lang visited him in purgatory. He details that Lang was dressed in the same robe as when they first met (in 3.0), at the Church. (Buddha laughs, realizing that was when he was messing with Peppo in purgatory).
Lang denies that he came to purgatory, but Edgar thinks maybe his body was taken over by the greater entity. Lang tells Edgar that he returned to Los Santos after a company tried to purchase the Rest. Edgar recognizes the name of the company, shouting about 'The Oracle' - but Lang has no idea what that is. Edgar shows Lang the house's property sale sign, Lang is astonished to see "Wolf's Realty" on the sign. Lang fills out Day 3 (yesterday) in his journal. Edgar shows Lang the relation to the Faceless card colours, and the new paint in his room. Lang doesn't care much, but Edgar finds it hard to believe that Lang wouldn't join the Faceless instead. Lang thinks that his purpose, and the purpose of his organization is to keep the balance of other organizations like theirs. They will eventually have to deal with them, maybe later when Lang survives this. Edgar tries to make an alliance with Lang, having Lang join him or Edgar join Lang. Lang seems reluctant to even discuss it at the moment, a storm rages outside and Opal arrives to take Lang for a physical.
After the doctors get Lang sorted, Opal has some follow up questions. Opal asks for clarification on the blood out process, Lang's interest with using water for killings, and why Larry and Bubbles weren't put in the water. Lang claims that they were exiled and didn't need it. Opal informs Lang of his sentencing tomorrow, CJ arrives at MRPD and they offer to let her drive Lang back to the house with a police escort. Lang and CJ chat about the news, he isn't interested in getting a lawyer, and his leg is permanently injured. Lang returns to working on his cane, shaping the head to resemble a bird.
Lang shares with Edgar that his court case is tomorrow, Edgar is upset that their moment to bond is ending. Lang decides to offer him some semblance of an alliance after everything. If Lang decides to trust Edgar enough, and if he survives his sentencing, they will meet again in the tunnels. Edgar understands, Lang smirks as he returns to his wood working. He takes a long shower, paints some figures on his walls, and re-affixes his bandages. Stepping outside for a smoke, the North arrives to see him. Lang runs back inside realizing that he wanted to pass a new note to CJ. The note details that he was wrong, agreeing with most of her dot connecting. He writes that he's confirmed things through chatting with Edgar, and mentions the orb.
