4/7/2025 Kick Recap - "Kifflom, Brother!"

Lang notices the length of his beard and hair in his cell mirror. Stepping out into the yard, he's notified that he has a visitor. Lang finds Hank in visitation, who's here to check on him. Before Lang leaves, he's pinged back by Saab who hands some food to the guards. Saab seems worse for wear, the sickness showing the damage it's done to him. They're both hopeful for Lang's return soon. Lang wanders around for a bit, lingering around different Lifers.

CJ visits, Lang jokes about how interesting the Kifflom stuff seems. Lang mentions that Saab's plague isn't good, CJ shares that Isaac (Pestilence) is threatening to bring the apocalypse, so something must have changed. He asks if she picked up his cane that he left at the house, CJ notes that he is pretty talented to have made something so neat (Thank you, Moss). CJ is still worried the Lifers are going to harm him, coincidentally Matt walks in and uses the phone. Lang isn't worried about what's happened to him, he's found some of the peace he's needed. He would rather Matt get it over with, so they can focus on the bigger issues at hand. CJ warns that if something happens to Lang, Cypress is going to break into jail as a response, but Lang doesn't want them to.

Lang returns to the yard, interested in Nu Epsilon. He begins a few chats about the Lifers involvement with 'Kifflom', they hand him a book that he reads thoroughly. After reading through it, Lang chats with DC about the tenants, things he's learned, and how powerful the Kifflom group could become. Lang bumps into Frank (prev. food stall employee) and they catch up about his life now as a DOC guard. Arush visits Lang and tells him that he's estranged by this new tone Lang has, but he shares their plan for empowering the Kifflomists to overthrow the Lifer gang. Dom (South Cypress) walks by, Arush yells at him for getting caught in the last shoot out.

Lang runs into Fiona before leaving visitation, they exchange a quick greeting. On his way back to the yard, Lang and Zeek chat about how he's feeling, ultimately being the most normal conversation Lang has had with anyone. Lang makes small chat with some inmates in the cafeteria about Kifflom, and is beckoned back to visitation. Fiona brought Bane to see Lang, Bane jokes about how different it feels to be in opposite positions. Bane and Lang chat about how lame prison became, and Bane notes that the thrill of the chase turned out to be more impactful for him. Bane wishes Lang well and let's North Cypress in to see him.

Skipper sees Lang first, comparing how Lang and Jesus share similar traits. He even compliments Lang's cane, reminding him that Jesus was a carpenter. CJ, Jonah, and Saab join the conversation. CJ tries to get Skipper to stop the comparisons, but Lang even finds that they're too similar. Lang is happy to see the rest of the North, realizing that there will be a decent amount of change to come. Lang thinks they can return to the Forge without a concern of being raided. Concerned for Saab and the others that caught the plague, CJ tells them that someone officially died the other day from it.

Opal and a few officers bring Carmine by the cafeteria to do some cleaning. Carmine tries to tell the cops that Lang is running the prison, since Frank is working as a DOC guard now. Lang gets an anonymous note that warns him of a upcoming killing - he isn't sure if it's for him. Dom sits with Lang in the yard, they chat about the weight of things and how different Larry and Bubbles' blood outs were. They are interrupted by the DOC who escort Lang to a speaking area, where he finds Pixie Plum (psychotherapist).

Pixie has Lang tell her why he's been in jail, and how things have been going since their last time meeting. Lang finds difficulty answering her questions, hoping to lie through some of the details on what's ahead. Pixie asks about CJ, raising Lang's suspicious nature. Lang and Pixie have a laugh over CJ's tortured soul, but Pixie reminds Lang that he brought her down the path. Pixie finds everything very interesting, eager to revisit some of these questions during the rest of their mandatory meetings. Lang is confident to have more sessions with Pixie, she is satisfied with that. On her way out, Pixie coughs attempting to clear her throat.

Lang is escorted back to the jail, Carmine taunts him until another prisoner runs up and knocks him out. In the yard, Dom returns to wrap up his conversation with Lang. Lang is notified of visitors: Clark, Beau, and Queenie. Lang jokes about Clark having outbursts again, but Clark just wasn't sure how to snap Lang out of his funk. He didn't believe that Lang was so affected by the things he's done. Clark claims that the beef with Saab was to trigger Lang, but that didn't work either. Clark sympathizes with Lang's decisions, the weight of killing someone, and his respect for Lang facing things head on. Lang reflects on the peace he's found with Ilya's death. Lang stresses that much of his story was written, from the split, to his consequences. Lang is pleased with the way Cypress came together during this turbulent time, but Clark claims that the South was always ready to help, even if it didn't seem like it. Lang should be free tomorrow, and he knows exactly what he's going to do when he's out.

Clark steps aside for Queenie to speak. (VOD 2 1:30) Queenie gives a powerful speech about leadership, consequences, guilt, and how she's felt about Lang. Queenie reminds Lang that regret can be wasted time when you're convinced that there isn't anything left - "Leaders don't get the luxury of standing still." Lang values their intense conversations, the sentiments they share, and hopes to speak to them when he's out. Frank the DOC guard walks Lang back to his cells, joking about Carmine storming through like a wacky tornado.

Lang heads to bed in his cell.
