4/15/2025 Kick Recap - "In The Spirit Of Blarney's"
Lang sits with CJ and hears her spiraled thoughts that she's developed since learning whatever they could last night. CJ makes connections between the Owl on the coin, and one of the notebooks. CJ believes that the notes to Victor Blackwell (the agent) came from the Oracle (which could be a group and not one person). They believe Eliza is a Faceless asset, and Lang wants to share their thoughts with Edgar to see what he knows. They walk through Vinewood to find a car to steal, CJ gets hit by someone driving by. Lang gets called CJ's grandfather, he thinks it's a good cover story. Lang calls Saab to pick them up, but he's at a business meeting at Blarney's. Lang finds a keys and drives them to Cypress.
Lang calls Luciano back to catch up, Luci's in the middle of a chase yelling at the South, but he'll call back later. The North is concerned with Martin not being around to poll much for the mayor ship. Saab hands off Jacyn's election pamphlet, Lang finds the file suspicious in it's relation to humane labs. Lang wants to sell his cars, but find a new one to roll around in. CJ comments on Lang making money by selling his cars, but he doesn't realize that she's trying to disguise the money he got from the mission, instead he claims he made money helping a friend. Interested in speaking with Edgar, Lang tries to get his number from CJ, but she doesn't have it.
Jonah reminds them of the Clown wedding happening on friday, CJ won't actually be around. Saab notices a car doing circles around Cypress, they go press it to check. After bumping into them in the street, claiming they have no IDs, they bring the people into the forest nearby. After much interrogation, they claim they're with the Saints, and they're playing Marlo's 'assassination game'. CJ confirms they're following the rules, Saab steals their AK and let's them go. Lang returns to the Forge and calls Luciano to meet. CJ calls Harry to warn him, Lang leaves Saab and CJ to handle the Saints conflict they expect.
Lang meets Harry and Luciano in an abandoned parking lot. They chat about their plans to rebuild the legal weed business as a temporary solution to the plague. Harry tells them that Chatterbox can give people the plague one at a time, Lang is down to help with the weed. If the business idea doesn't work, Nino offers to rebate them for all the money they spent for the licenses. They noticed that ever since class 2s have been more accessible, their fines for jobs have been too high. Lang suggests doing the fentanyl runs, but working together and splitting the jobs between North and South. Harry and Luciano haven't done a fentanyl job since their attempts with Lang, Lang tells them about the Blarney's Animal fighting event he's having soon. Before he leaves, Lang warns them about 'weird things' happening in the city, but doesn't give much more detail.
Lang calls CJ to check in on the Saints talk, Lang stops by the Forge to get a rifle incase things go wrong. CJ calls to say the talk is over, Saab rolled for 40k and lost. Lang meets them back at the Forge, telling the North about his plans to have Jonah collaborate with the South on fentanyl. They all agree that it's a good idea, Jonah found a bunch of product last night, so he should be at 100% purity soon. Lang and CJ stop by the Rest before heading up to the Nu Epsilon Lifer event at prison. Lang teases CJ for being quite sassy, she claims it's the medication.
Lang and CJ arrive, they are lead into the DOC building where a classroom is set up. Eliza greets them, has everyone do introductions, and then speak about how they value atonement. Lang shares how he found atonement, but the Lifers question him about his progress. Lang tries to deflect onto CJ, who isn't there to atone, but to support others. The Lifers question CJ about Cassie, realizing they were close. CJ doesn't take the questioning well, and leaves shortly after answering.
