4/23/2025 Kick Recap - "No More North, No More South"
Lang reads through CJ's recap; Lando is back and 'stronger than before', Dark interrogated CJ's mute therapist, the roof running alarms go off. Lang gives CJ grief for visiting the Guild with Edgar, without him. CJ wants to be more useful, but Lang stresses that he warned her about how dangerous they can be. CJ checks the cameras before they leave the Rest, Lang takes her to his airport buggy and they drive to City Hall. Unable to find someone to assist with the release of his parole, Lang has CJ drive (since he's scuffed as heck today).
They find Opal at MRPD and notice that her hair is cut and that she's covered in tattoos. Opal informs them that she was suspended, so someone else will have to contact Lang on behalf of releasing his Parole. Lang and CJ stop by Blarney's, Saab catches Lang up on the Hydra vs Trepas drama. Lang twats out some rage bait, they giggle about Hydra coming to fight them over nothing. Lang joins Clark, Luciano, Saab, Jonah, and Queenie for a fentanyl run. They grab scuba gear and try to make a plan, hoping that things don't scuff out today.
Luciano hacks, Saab drives, and the rest arrange for a few blocks. After a few drop offs of the fent, and too many cop pits, they decide to dump the car and scuba out of the chase. Lang grabs a plane for pick ups, but the fuel scuffs out so he lands in Grapeseed. He runs to get a gas can, flipping his car in front of Chaos Legion. Hiding from embarrassment, he refuels the plane and flies back to pick up Saab from the beach. They return to the airport and get back in Lang's car, regrouping with Cypress to debrief. Jonah's cooks are at 100%, Lang thinks they'll be able to make 2 drop offs (worth 100k each) multiple times a week.
Lang tries to call Edgar to catch up, but he's not around. He stops by Nu Epsilon to see Eliza, but she'll call back later. Lang and Saab discuss the plan for the animal fighting on Friday, with plans to set up Thursday night. Saab will hold the dinner on Thursday as well, but has no interest to invite the Guild. Lang and Saab go to the food court, they notice the owner of the other food stall staring at them and calling someone. Lang and Saab discuss where Liya, Skipper, and Hank have been. They loiter in Snr Buns while they wait for something to go down, Lang is excited.
Sneaky comes by their table, asking if they spoke to CJ. Sneaky tells them that he owes the food stall 200k within 24 hours, he knows that Lang isn't Harry Brown, but he was happy to lie for the sake of the stir. Sneaky is caught in the middle of things, Osvaldo and Pilbus come by to sit and listen, apparently part of Sneaky's group. Sneaky got kidnapped by Cypress and was told not to use Harry Brown's name anymore, and then owes them 100k too. Sneaky re-assures Lang that he never revealed their connection, he believes in Lang's greatness. Sneaky and his friends leave, Lang calls CJ who is stuck in the Rest because a dumpster fell over against the door. Lang drives over to check it out, it seems that the dumpster is possessed. CJ leaves through the front door, Eliza calls Lang back. Eliza tells Lang of another community service event tomorrow, he will be there.
Lang asks about Sneaky, CJ confirms that they're friends and she pressed him for wanting to warn Lang about things. Lang calls Luciano to meet, but CJ wants Lang to come to a Fleeca heist. The North waits at Blarney's for a bit until it's time for the heist. CJ questions if Saab was the last person that saw Liya. Lang calls Saab to theorize if Martin killed Liya, and then left. Saab thinks that would solve the problem, but doesn't believe that Martin killed her. Lang heads to the old meeting spot behind the Cypress building to chat with Luciano and Clark.
