5/30/2025 Offline Recap

Thank you, diddlyumpcious
Lang meets up with Saab to work on the track for the Grand Prix. He quickly gets filled in that CJ and Skipper are talking to Pesto. Saab says he takes full responsibility and he told her to do it because Pesto is on his farewell tour and leaving for good. Saab says Pesto made her sick because she ignored him. Saab is being positive and thinks she’ll get the cure and everything will be fine. Lang is trying really hard to not get mad and not deal with any of this until Monday. He fails.

Lang can’t believe they did something so stupid. He doesn’t understand how he just cured Jojo a few hours ago in front of all of them and no one thinks to see if he would have more and instead they go to the guy who has tried to kill them. Saab says Pesto chased them for an hour. Lang doesn’t know what else he can do for people to learn. He has shot people and told them things a million times and no one ever learns anything. Lang says he is going to retire Monday and join Tony and give Saab the North. He tells Saab they are idiots and he has two more vials of the cure. Capped randomly stumbles upon them in a boat with an LMG on the front and makes a bunch of Capped noises before leaving.

They eventually call CJ/Skipper down. CJ was cured and everything worked out by meeting Pesto. Lang doesn’t care. Lang yells at everyone and has CJ explain everything that happened. He is particularly thrilled to hear about Saab having CJ throw a molotov at Pesto while he was chasing them. Lang basically repeats all the things he has said to Saab so far to CJ/Skip. He ends it by saying Saab made a decision so he ultimately isn’t going to do anything.

Afterwards, he pulls CJ to the side to meet with her individually to try and get the real story because he can’t believe there isn’t more to it. She says she was trying to get cured because she was worried the plague cough would mess up her trying to take out Diego, something she was really trying to get done today. Lang is pissed and not liking the excuses or anything she says. He believes she wanted to talk to Pesto and touch the stove like always. At the end of the conversation he asks her to admit she wanted to touch the stove. She admits she was curious about why Pesto wanted to talk to her. Lang thanks her for admitting it and tells her he will allow her to be the stove toucher and tells her to give the keys to Roosters Rest to him. She gives the keys to him and he walks away, saying she is free to touch as many stoves as she wants and is free of the burden bestowed upon her.

6/30/2025 Kick Recap - "I Guess We Believed In You Too Much"

The Dune Incident

Lang walks for hours from the Sandy Shores to Cypress. He encounters Queenie on his journey, who offers to take him to the spice. Lang ignores Queenie's efforts to communicate, continuing his walk to the Forge. Sofia and a few of the North try to interact with him as he walks into his newly designed office, but Lang refuses to speak. After basking in the somewhat fresh waters by the buy in dock, he speaks with Sofia who was stalking him. Lang catches up with Sofia about where Saab, Skipper, and a few of the others have been. Lang believes that Saab has died, and that Skipper is lost in the desert. Lang tells Sofia that he belongs in the desert now, and to give Fiona the North as payment for her work. Sofia is concerned about her and CJ's place, but Lang tells her to do whatever they want. Sofia questions Lang's decision and tries to remind him what they built, but he shows her that they waited for nothing. Lang asks about the South Dons, but Sofia claims they were also lost in the desert. Lang wants to throw Saab a funeral, Sofia asks if Lang is abandoning them, but he reminds her that he's already abandoned them. Lang appoints Sofia the new Don - she tries to refuse, but he persists.

Sofia disappears, Lang snorts some dust? and passes Jonah as he walks back up to the Cypress Flats. Jonah compliments Lang's speed, Lang greets him as he moves on with his delusions. Sofia returns and reminds him that Lang's aura is unmatched. Sofia claims that Bazim got bombs and blew up the court house and the Besties food stall, while Lang was away. Lang has no idea what she's talking about, but if 4Head wants to speak then he can find Lang in the desert. Lang informs her that he lost everything but his cane, he continues his journey through Cypress until he's ready to leave.

Buddha spawns a Dune-like buggy and drives to the parking lot beside the Rest. Lang wanders through the tunnels and enters the Rooster's basement, unwrapping his garments and donning a new black outfit. He wanders through the rest until he finds the room with the fire still lit. Lang leaves the Talon knife next to the armour in his room, and studies the board that was left behind. The radio tunes in with a new report, detailing a suspicious armoured aircraft that has been flying over the city and the increase in gun related activity. The segment distorts, Lang returns to the managers office to grab the helmet and sword, placing them next to the armour in his room.

Lang heads to bed.

7/1/2025 Kick Recap - "What'chu Mean By That"

Lang wanders around Cypress as he wakes up. Lang and Jonah catch up about where they were, he was at Burning Man, which is a festival in the desert. Otherwise, he's been racing in his free time while everyone has been 'dead'. Edgar still has to pay for the wedding service, and they probably owe 2+ million to the people of the city for the Grand Prix. Lang tells Jonah that Saab died from a heart attack, but Skipper left to get water and hasn't been seen since. Jonah wants to meet up with Edgar, Lang is interested in tagging along, but Jonah is unsure about Lang's current attire.

They leave to get food, Jonah tells Lang about Bazim bombing the court house. They continue catching up: Jonah's not the dumbest in the family (of the North), last night they did a cash exchange and Dante forgot to pick up the money. Andi (also known as Coots, from the South) calls to confirm that nobody is around either. They joke about it being Canada Day, Lang warns Jonah to keep his return a secret. Ray's new gang has their own underground gambling, Lang wants to check it out so they head over.

Jonah can't find the spot, they roll by the court house to see it blown apart, and Lang asks to return to Cypress. The Besties are taxing the money cleaning spots with their new "Big Dawg Security". Lang doesn't think Jonah is very good at recaps, but asks for his opinion on Sofia being the new Don. Sofia made Fiona the new Underboss, otherwise Jonah doesn't have any issue with it. Lang realizes that Jonah wasn't even there for the Grand Prix event, claiming that he abandoned them. Lang tells Jonah about his journeys in the sand and his encounter with 'Shai-Hulud'. Jonah shares that Clark mentioned this when he got the cops to free him for arrest, and then convinced them to shoot Peach on his behalf. Lang is in disbelief, he leaves Jonah and heads it bed.

7/4/2025 Kick Recap - "I Don't Work, I Wander"

Lang runs into Sofia and hears that she did some jobs this morning with Arush. She offers to take him down to meet the South, Lang is down but isn't interested in pushing weed, unless Sofia demands. They run into Gigi and a few others while they push weed, Lang and Arush go chat by behind the Cypress building.

Arush jokes about going on vacation, and then questions Lang's crazy decision making while he was gone. Sofia is allowed to be promoted, but Fiona wasn't even a member, so she can't be a Don. Lang suggests another Purge, Arush compares his top members: Cuddles, Clark. The South hasn't been around much, Arush settles on Sofia being fine as temp Don. Lang is worried that Dante might be killed, because Jonah and Dante together might be too much to handle. They were both impressed with Gigi taking out Tony (different Tony) who was becoming too much for the South, while they were away.

Lang and Sofia pass by the Forge and find Jonah. Jonah mentions that Edgar wants him to be in his mayoral cabinet. Lang calls him useless, Jonah wants to do a lap around the city with his new glasses (new pc). Lang and Sofia drive up to the trailer park, he asks her how she might feel about starting a new gang up there inspired by his time in the sand. Lang details the Shai-Hulud, Sofia jokes about it being a cult, but he ejects and goes down. Sofia takes him to the sewers and get's him back on his feet. Jonah joins them as they make small talk about the state of the city, Lang hates that they've become racers in his absence.

Lang, Jonah, and Sofia return to the Forge to find Dante. Dante recaps the charges and how he was processed, Lang is impressed with him taking the bulk of issues since the Blarney's Grand Prix. Lang gets Opal's number from Dante and tries to call her, but she dodges the calls a few times. Lang finally gets a hold of her, she's very surprised to hear he's alive. He tells her that Saab is actually dead and he plans to hold a funeral, she catches up with Lang about the police work in Los Santos. Lang clarifies that he did not give anyone any bombs, Opal notes it down but doesn't seem to believe him.

Lang tells everyone he's headed to bed, Jonah asks about the Grand Prix, Lang shoots him in the leg for bringing up the trauma. Lang leaves and heads to bed.
