7/2/2025 Kick Recap - "Failure. Scammer. Pathetic, Old Man."
Lang runs into CJ outside the Forge, CJ tries to catch up with him about where everyone is. Lang asks if she's seen Saab and Skipper yet, but forgets he told everyone that Saab died. CJ recaps everything that happened before everyone disappeared, interested to hear about Lang's story since then. Lang details how Saab died and how Skipper hasn't been seen since they split up. Lang has no interest in leading right now, leaving the North 'open to new management'. CJ wonders about what Lang intends to do now that he's back, he wants to wander around the Sandy Shores. CJ doesn't want to be underboss, but Sofia appointed her to be, and Lang tells her that she must follow. Lang thinks that CJ wouldn't last in the desert, CJ agrees. Lang and CJ continue to chat about how things will move forward, CJ asks if they ate Saab, but Lang walks away thinking that everything's a joke to people of the city.
CJ tries to stress the concern of things in the city, but Lang wants to wander until he finds his two dead family members. CJ offers to go along with him, but Lang refuses. Lang wanders into the warehouse and chills out, Sofia comes by to give him a care package of all the things he's missing. Lang is given a ton of water, some snacks and a new phone. They joke about Dante confessing and going down for most of the crimes of the North. Sofia thinks McNulty knows about where everyone was, CJ is confused because she was telling the cops that everyone died. Lang thinks that CJ was using their deaths to farm donations, Sofia thinks it's fine that she does that. Fiona joins them as they chat about where Dante is, Lang is very confused about if Dante was released or is spending life in prison.
Fiona and Lang shortly catch up, she takes him for a tour around the warehouse. After reviewing the different rooms, Fiona stops to chat about Lang's new aura and how he might correct things. Lang isn't really interested in fixing things, nor with her way to psychologically analyze him, but he does welcome her to the North as if she already belongs. Lang tells Fiona that because she's the new Don (with Sofia) they all have to follow her instructions. He promises to clean the warehouse, but leaves. CJ asks Fiona to make her a normal member, but Lang overhears and warns her not to go against the commands of the other Don.
Lang finally runs into a crazed and disheveled Skipper, discussing what happened and where they've both been. Skipper wants to go back and find Saab, Lang griefs him for returning to the city. Skipper wants to return to the desert, but Lang suggests that he at least tell the North that he's alive. Lang returns to the Forge where Skipper is informing CJ of his absence. He seems delirious, Fiona and CJ are very confused by what he's saying. Lang and Skipper continue to discuss their journey, Saab's demise, and what they're addicted to. CJ tries to make sense of it all, but it just doesn't add up.
Lang continues to clean up the Forge, but finds Skipper meditating in the dunes behind the warehouse. They want to have the funeral for Saab in Sandy, but they reminisce about the drugs and partying they were doing while they were gone. Lang and Sofia drive over to Snr Buns to get food, she jokes with Lang about him walking barefoot now. They stop by city hall, chatting about Sofia's good spirits.
Lang asks about the bombing story, Sofia sends him a confession video of Bazim admitting that he bought 2 bombs from Lang. Sofia fills Lang in about how the war between the Besties and the Manor has been running since everyone left, something probably happened between the Besties and Bazim, so the video was a result. Ray's new gang and Benji's gang are at war, too. Sofia almost rolled out on Ray for twatting about CJ 'killing her whole family', but CJ kept her calm.
