7/15/2025 Kick Recap - "Noah's Ark"
Clark wakes Lang up by dragging the bags of trash from the dumpsters nearby. Lang checks in with Saab about how things have been since last night, he's hoping to improve some of their supplies so that they can gather better food. Lang shows Saab the New Babylon sign, they chat about Jonah, Teddy, and what the plans are for what's left of Cypress. Lang and Saab check with Zeek about choosing this life, Zeek asks if he should bring his family into the new society, and they shortly discuss his partners and kids. Lang and Saab meet with Gigi at the Silos, she has a vague idea of what they're up to and is currently retired. She's interested in getting involved, but she's the main rifle plug for the entire city. Lang explains the idea of New Babylon to her, including abandoning everything that isn't involved with the rifle manufacturing. Lang encourages her to take some time to think about it, but they are happy to have her join their community.
On the way back to New Babylon, Officer McNulty nearly runs them over as they cross the road. He stops to laugh at Saab's new hairline, Lang and Saab try to tell him off, but he warns them about the mountain lions near by. They meet up with Clark and overhear that Andi (event og/blonde) is around, if she's back they want her involved in New Babylon. They head into one of the trailers that are open and have a small meeting, Lang shows Clark the application he's made. They discuss what names they want for things, if they should be based on the original Babylonian history or if they should lean on inspiration. They walk around and showcase the area they want for mechanics, CJ shows Lang where she found a camera - he doesn't care to remove it.
Edgar finally returns and meets with Lang over what he's learned from his last Faceless meeting. Officer Opal informed Edgar that they cops seized thousands of rifle parts being imported, and Edgar noticed that the Faceless leadership seemed very stern about their quotas. Edgar is concerned with how he should handle dealing with the Faceless, Lang suggests leveraging the options, but ultimately choosing for Edgar to not be killed would be best. Edgar is excited for new opportunities of importing and exporting, Lang takes him to the lake behind New Babylon and showcases a small island that they might be able to build an airstrip on. Edgar wants to start inviting people for specific roles, as he's been observing doctors with his time at the hospital. Lang thinks they can start handing out applications, showing Edgar the one he's made. They return to the town, Lang takes the buggy blueprint from Saab to show Edgar what he's been working on.
Lang copies the applications and goes to speak with Yaya. Yaya is interested in joining, and suggests that his path since returning to the city has been based around food. He thinks he can be a cook for New Babylon, Lang tells him to give away everything and to contact Clark when he's ready. Lang joins a group of New Babylonians at the scrapyard who have been gathering parts to build the buggy. Lang calls Jonah to yell at him for being weak and 'lost'. Sofia calls because Dante claims that someone took the lockpick blueprint from the Forge, Lang and Saab brainstorm who would have done it. Saab thinks that both Liya and Martin were actually upset about the end of the North, Lang is surprised to hear that since they were both absent for so long. Lang talks to Skipper about it, he thinks that Dante took it and is lying. Lang calls Sofia to hold up Dante and check his phone, and then gives Saab an application to give to an officer who drives by. Lang calls Elena to give her an application, and heads to meet her.
Lang meets Elena, she plays a song on guitar (not a ukulele) about having no where to go - Lang is impressed. Lang gives her the application and tells her to take her time to decide. She's ready to join ASAP because she's excited.
