7/17/2025 Kick Recap - "Make Love To The Machines"
Lang wakes up in the trailer and reads through a Mime vs Clowns propaganda book. He wanders around, noticing Saab's new dock and stairs construction. Lang checks in with Clark about his mission later, Clark isn't very confident that it goes well. Lang is impressed with all the fish they've gathered, Yaya is preparing all the meals. Lang reads through Beau Bummer's application that Clark hands off. Lang builds a short list of the current community members and tells Saab about his gripes with the current structures. Clark announces his plan for the day, Yaya gives everyone the menu. Lang calls Cuddles to figure out what the riddles mean, but he's afraid she's trying to kill him. Cuddles just wants to drop off her application, so Lang pings her to come by New Babylon.
Lang has Clark and Saab take her application and ego her a bit. Lang heads into one of the trailers to read the application with Clark and Saab. After being unimpressed with Cuddles' app, Lang reads through Beau's and uses examples from his to compare for what he's looking for. They briefly discuss both applications, wanting more from each of them. The tow yard workers arrive because they heard Saab was giving away free stuff. After being told there isn't anything for them, they tow away a local truck. Jonah comes by to get an application, but Lang doesn't want to give him one and Saab ran out of copies.
They return to the meeting in the trailer, Lang shows Edgar the musket they plan on making. Zeek comes by to let Lang know that the Besties got raided and he might be related in some way. Zeek asks if Lang knows about the mission later, Lang doesn't think he needs to know more about it since it's his own business. Lang reminds him that he's not his gang leader anymore, he only wants the tea from the new society. Lang rejoins everyone speaking about the progress Edgar made. Edgar spoke to many others about trying to join New Babylon, he even tried to get Gigi's assistance, but that didn't work even though she was really helpful. Edgar thinks he's too intense, the people that want to work with him think they're probably going to war or something. Edgar mentions running into Randy, Lang hates Randy so he instantly denies it. Lang encourages adding new faces, Clark suggests shaving their heads as a form of rebirth. They have access to two trailers for storage, Clark and Edgar leave for their Faceless mission.
Lang, Saab, and Sofia decide to bring in Cuddles before Beau, but decide that Beau will likely find his way in later. Hassan and Paulie from Edgar's referral are pretty much in, as well. Lang gets attacked by a mountain lion, Saab brings him back to New Babylon to get patched up by Elena. Tony called Saab while Lang was down, he comes to visit. Lang gives a key to one of the trailers to Skipper, allowing him to park the vehicles they make now. Skipper is excited to keep working, Lang gives him some words of motivation.
Lang and Saab meet with Cuddles to interview her. They discuss where she could improve, and how she might fit into New Babylon. After hearing from Cuddles, they approve her application and remind her that she can leave anytime. Saab tries to make her give up the mask, but Lang thinks if Saab can remain stupid, then she can keep her mask. They return to New Babylon, Benny shows them a blueprint he made for repair kits. They take a buggy from him to go vote, Lang votes for Michael Razzel and Jimbo Sutton. Lang and Saab adventure to the hospital and encounter Veronica Mars, Lang tries to promote New Babylon to her. She thinks it sounds like a cult, but Lang convinces her otherwise. Tony runs into them at the hospital, joking about it being a cult as well. Lang gives her an application, they tell Tony to come visit. They stop by the food court and find everything closed, Lang wants to recruit Bazim so Saab tries to call.
