07/22/2025 "Leave Your Past Behind"

Apple tells Lang he heard Cuddles saying to Arush that now that Arush is finally in New Babylon, Cuddles and him can work on "the real issue" (paraphrasing, trying to remember what happened 10 days ago.) Apple continues saying that Cuddles gave Arush a book, he looked at it, told her not to worry about that stuff anymore and threw the book in the Alamo sea. Curious about what was in the book, Lang tells Apple to go look for it in the water.
The book was discovered and it contained 8 year old information about Edgar. They meet up with Cuddles to ask her directly about the incident and they reiterate that she was told to leave her past behind and that none of that stuff mattered anymore.

A huge sandstorm occupied most of this day. Hordes of birds and locals appeared. Chaos ensued. Lang thought it was time to call to Shai Hulud and return to the desert.

Lang, Saab and Edgar discuss Cuddles and Edgar is glad Lang told him. They agree to bring this issue to trial on Friday and Edgar continues working on his spiritual law codex.

07/23/2025 "Ratatouille"

Lang calls Skipper and Saab to the docks for a recap.
The restaurant, ratatouille, opened today. And with that, a newcomer by the name of "Wee Wee/Oui Oui" is introduced into New Babylon. Wee wee, the man of few but powerful words, was hired to build the restaurant and he did amazing. Inside of the restaurant, a bowl with what seems to be purple dust, rests on a table. The people who were lost in the desert for a month seemed to be enthralled by this dust..

Lang built a "boat" for Edgar out of scrap material that was gathered and stolen by Edgar and several Babylon citizens. The boat is actually a converted 4x4 with 2 barrels and a boat engine on the back. This contraption works both on land and in the water. Lang showed Skipper and Benny, the mechanics, his invention and promises them that one day Lang will teach them to make their own inventions like this one.

An in person interview was had with an applicant, Stanley Tuttle. He has interests in tech, zombies, trains, shampoo and taxidermy. He showed the Elders his most prized possession that he was hesitant to leave behind, a jar containing possibly zombie flesh. Lang convinced Stanley to give the jar to the Elders and lang threw it off the silo's, somewhere in the Middle of a ditch.
He was accepted and talks were had about potentially starting work on a 5G tower.

07/24/2025 "Babalari"

Luciano opened his barbershop this week and Lang was due for his lice and scalp check and with that, a new haircut.
The introduction of the New Babylon currency, Babalari, was made a reality today. The bottle caps, with an engraved picture on them, are planned to be distributed among the citizens tomorrow.
Clark made a new version of his map.
Sebas was made an Elder today.

I have no other memories of this day unfortunately.

07/25/2025

After the town meeting, Babalari was distributed. Citizens lined up inside the administration trailer and upon showing their passport, they received a collections purse with 20 Babalari inside. After the Babalari was distributed, people soon started gambling. Lang quickly put an end to that and reiterates not to do anything stupid.

Lang decides to bring Edgar down to Roosters basement. They entered via the side exit of Roosters. He only showed him parts of the library, the meeting room and parts of the hallways. Edgar was impressed by the amount of information that was gathered and stored in the library. They exited via the tunnels.

Lang worked on the wall today, a front gate with a few walls were put up. During the building process. cops showed interest and Lang invited them into Ratatouille for a meal.
They anxiously await the reaction from the outside before they put up more walls.

To round off the day, Arush gathered everyone for a song and dance around his green beer plants, in hopes of more growth.
