8/4/2025 - Kick Recap "We're Not Roleplaying"
Buddha birthday week, scuffed set up Lang and Saab catch up on the new legislations and potential citizens of New Babylon. They are interrupted by the BCSO who call to them from a boat, threatening to fine them for not following the new legislations. Lang tells them off, and they walk away. Saab mentions that Wee Wee is a cannibal, Lang wants to investigate this. Lang runs into Tony Corleone, and hears of Harry being around. Lang get's food from Yaya and begs to learn if they are eating human meat, but Yaya refuses. Lang finds Wee Wee and interrogates him, learning that not only ate human body parts, but has been showing and giving people donations of meat. Lang doesn't threaten him, but wants to regroup on his plan for handling it, returning the hand that Wee Wee gave him.
Lang goes to chat with CJ about it, CJ confirms that she tried to teach him not to, but he's still doing it. Lang speaks with a few Elders to determine that Wee Wee must be killed. Lang calls for a meeting announcing the uniforms, but surprises everyone by having them searched for human body parts. They find parts on Wee Wee, but nothing on anyone else. Lang sends security to check the properties, Wee Wee will stand trial for cannibalism, and others will be punished for assisting him.
Lang, Edgar, and Saab argue about the kind of society they're trying to build. Arush mentions tensions rising and petty issues circling around Security, Lang is happy with Arush and Luciano leading Security and handling it as they see fit. Lang shows Arush the new outfits, but isn't sure they're going to be revealed today based on the current circumstances. Luciano calls about a visit from the police, Lang gives him ownership of how security wants to handle it, but to be sure they keep the peace of NB.
Saab calls for a new meeting, Lang shares his thoughts on people not leaving their lives at the door. CJ and others admit to knowing about Wee Wee's cannibal nature, but assumed that it wasn't her responsibility to change it. They discuss the impact this kind of thing has on their new society, they offer Queenie to suggest a legal layout of the trial and how the procedure might go. Frustrated, Lang gathers with the Elders to exile Wee Wee and make sure everyone goes back to work. They take Wee Wee to the front gate, take all of his belongings, and send him out into the wilds of exile.
Lang continues to work on the garments while Saab joins him, they discuss the result of this issue. Lang meets with Delver to discuss the plan, and power Delver has. Delver thinks that the Elders need to meet and have simple understandings over obvious rules/laws so that they don't miscommunicate how they 'feel'. Lang agrees, considering removing all the Elders. Lang is impressed with Delver's understanding of the issue, and how he wants to handle it. Elena offers Lang a drink, he'll come by the tavern later. Andi asks if she can help rehabilitate Wee Wee before or after the trial, he thinks it's a good idea, but only if there is a reasonable result from the trial.
Lang meets with CJ on the dock and reads through the last history book. He gives advice on how he would change a section, and then critiques CJ's intellect in comparison to how she handled this issue with Wee Wee. CJ admits to her fault on both the writing and being ignorant to the cannibalism, but she assumed that it wasn't her issue to deal with. Lang thinks that she could have handled it better, knowing their history. Lang meets Elena and gets drunk, taking a few bottles to go. Elena confides in Lang, suggesting that her time in NB has been the best she's ever had.
