8/20/2025 Kick Recap - "Better To Be Cringe, Than Boring"
Saab recaps Lang on the space ship flying over New Babylon last night, and a disguised person asking questions. Lang is frustrated that people still have some property assets, he demands they get rid of everything. Lang wants to get some new blueprints made, so they head into the city. Upon returning, Arush complains about Saab's contract value and threatens to take him to small claims court over it. Lang meets with Harry to chat about Delver's availability and they agree to move forward with projects even if Delver isn't around. Lang gathers Edgar and Saab to work on the bridge to the island in the lake (for the airport).
After the bridge is built, they hold a town hall. Lang complains about people arriving late to the town hall, and compares the lives of people in NB to a wet sand castle. Lang reveals the Isle of Shamesh, and then reads a new story about expansion and growth. Sebas gives a sermon about growth and the isle, they all wander over to reveal it. Sebas leads everyone across the bridge and asks Edgar what they have planned for this island. They bless the land, Edgar reveals their plan to turn this island into a landing strip.
Lang meets with Fiona, CJ, Saab, Harry, and Zeek separately to discuss their operations and how well they're progressing with tasks. Lang get's pinged to a boat with tons of equipment for the Talon Mission (post-poned). Lang reads the book left for him and calls Saab over to show him. Lang suggests putting it in Blarney's until he realizes that he could disguise the Talon stuff as old Babylon stuff. They decide just to take it to Rooster's instead.
Lang takes everything into the basement with Saab, and then gives him a short recap about the artifacts and the new arc they've been on. Lang and Saab debate wether to take Arush and Clark, or Edgar and CJ. Saab is stunned by all the investigative work they did on the Faceless. Lang is impressed with how thoughtful Saab can be when mixed with his idiocy. Lang thinks this mission is for the final artifacts, and the only reason he got lost in the desert was to find any information he could about them.
They return to NB and find Skipper getting treated by the medics. Lang gives him a new blueprint to taunt him to get better, Clark rescues Rat King and impresses Lang with how well the Eagles are doing. Lang and Delver catch up, he's been sick and Lang warns him not to ask about the aliens. Delver is confused, so Lang calls Saab to laugh at his theories. Lang tells Delver about the secret origins of NB, the worm, and how dust is created. Lang reads a few of Sofia's stories and compliments her craft.
Lang heads to bed.
