8/27/2025 Kick Recap - "The Rain's Not Gone, But I See Clearly"
Lang and Saab chat with Andi about Charli's visit last night. He asked about Speedy, Beric, Lang, and seemed extremely suspicious. He gloated about his sniper, and how he loves to watch scared people run around. He told Andi that they should hide in the tunnels they're building, Lang is somewhat surprised that he knows of the plan, but realizes that they do shout on a microphone about it. Lang thanks Andi for the update, and hopes that the entire town is prepared for the inevitable. Lang isn't ready to die for this, but Saab is willing to.
Harry pulls Lang and Saab aside to share the drama. Andi and Pauli were fighting about a pact that they made in secret, that Pauli was telling everyone about. They spiral about different ways they can combat the Faceless, frustrated they were left to deal with this while Edgar is gone. Saab and Lang go inform Yaya that his business cannot operate without a license, he has to backpay for the initial one, and then maintain a monthly fee. After a large discussion with Yaya about how his business operates, Lang claims he passed the test and offers him a new license fee structure that is much cheaper.
Next, they visit CJ to discuss her business. CJ claims she helped everyone fall asleep by playing ASMR to them. Lang claims that she failed the test because just earning BBL wasn't enough, they wanted her to build out new revenue streams. Lang gives her the terms of the rent and the business license, reminding her that it's not going to be sunshine and rainbows. Saab wants to build out the thieves guild, so they head to the nudist colony to work on it. Saab wants to invite Zeek, CJ, and Arush. Lang helps him work on the invite process and the creation of the persona.
Buddha becomes a panther and waits next to Saab for CJ to arrive. Saab invites her to the thieves guild, to eventually meet 4 others and be tasked with quests on behalf of New Babylon. They run late, Buddha teleports back to NB and calls for everyone to meet for the town hall meeting. Lang calls out Saab and CJ for being late, they lie trying to hide the meeting, but Lang calls them out for lying, too. They head over to the church to get a sermon from Sebas about trust and honesty.
Lang pulls Saab aside after the meeting to question his stupidity and remind him that he's got to become a better liar to run the Thieves' Guild. Lang hopes to get new interviews done with Eliza, and Fiona complains about confusion on the rules with what Edgar told her, but Lang reminds her that she's all good. Skipper gifts the newest vehicle made to Lang - Lang takes it for a spin, crashing into everything and everyone. Skipper tries to help Lang fix it, but the car explodes and downs everyone.
Lang get's surgical and medical assistance, coming down with amnesia. After a few apologies and questionable memories, he asks for Yeager and the Delorean. Lang has very conflicting memories, asking for Eve, and for Saab to bring the van. He recalls that he's a marduk, and then yells for Skipper's death for trying to kill him. Lang drags Skipper to the pier with him, threatening him on the way. Benny begs for mercy, Lang demands that everyone stay at the shore to watch. "I'm the Marduk, I do what I want!" Luciano tries to stop Lang, but he ignores the logic.
Lang whispers to Skipper at the pier, Lang will shoot the helmet and it will ricochet off and let Skipper fall over in the water. Laughing, Lang pushes him into the water since his body doesn't really make it, they giggle as Lang walks back to the shore. Lang confuses NB with Cypress, mentioning to Luciano that the waters took him. They believe someone is trying to save Skipper, Lang threatens to shoot them, but returns to the town instead.
