10/21/2025 GTA Recap - "I Hope You Never Change"

Lang returns from his trip very grumpy, Saab shaved his head and looks exactly like Beric. Zeek found a good trade for some gold bars, Saab doesn't like it, Lang questions his judgement. Lang gets annoyed with all the padlocks in the bank, so he calls Zeek to remove them. Lang can't find the BBL he left in storage, there are two more locks that Zeek can't undo. They try to figure out who owns the storages, it could be Gigi or Sofia. Sofia arrives later and unlocks them, Lang finds the BBL and is less annoyed.

Lang and CJ meet, Saab wants to be a fly on the wall to get recapped. CJ claims that Skipper got bit by a zombie on thursday and hasn't been seen since. They haven't had any contact with him, and have no idea if he's dead or alive. CJ recaps everything they've missed: Klevin was very helpful, the Militia ran a few test attacks but weren't very useful and probably don't like CJ, Arush had a scavenger's hunt and recruited more people from the Militia, Eliza recruited Marvin (an old man), Scotty, and Tic Tac. Lang and Saab can't understand why she would let Tic Tac in, Bazim has been working on his prison tower but joked about being lazy, so he got yelled at. The Pirates aren't around during the day, so they communicate via book with CJ to hear about updates or instructions. They made a phone book with everyone's name and number in it, Lang wants his removed immediately. After removing Lang's name from the phonebook, CJ explains her issue with the Militia; they don't want hard rules or SOPs, she tried to have them build code systems and protocols. Lang and CJ discuss the differences in night and day of New Babylon. They wrap up the discussion in time for the town hall meeting.

OTT pulls Lang and Saab aside to caution them about Tic Tac, Lang agrees. OTT offers to feign disguise and spy on him, Lang thinks it's a great idea. Lang tells CJ that Tic Tac shouldn't have been approved, but CJ thinks he passed the written and in person interviews and trusted Eliza with her role. Lang wants to read the written application, but Eliza has it and isn't around. CJ continues the discussion by warning Lang of more spies that were lingering around the Rooster's Rest, he doesn't care much. Skipper finally joins them and claims he got bit and then was trapped in his dreams. Lang doesn't care enough to work this out, so he joins the town hall meeting.

Annoyed with Saab, Lang makes him handle the entire meeting. Big Mac (Tommy Oliver aka Tic Tac) is sent to the shame pit because Lang can't stand to look at him. Saab reads from a book of quotes for 10 minutes, and ends the meeting. CJ claims that Skipper has nothing more to say, she's unsure what happened to him. CJ needs Luciano to refill the New Babylonian gas station, Lang meets with Harry to figure out what he said to CJ, but he disagrees with what Lang was told. Lang and Harry come to an understanding, Lang isn't worried about the Militia. Harry shows Lang the giant submarine that appeared in the sea nearby over the weekend, Lang thinks they're falling behind.

Lang joins everyone in the city court house to hear the results of Bazim's trial. Carmine instigates with Anya, so Lang and the other Babylonians defend her by fighting in the benches. Clark and Carmine are fined 10k and sent to 10 months in jail for fighting. Greyson puts the case into recess until tomorrow, everyone leaves. Andi Jones runs into everyone on the way out, she gives Lang some Survival tapes. There's a new season starting soon, Lang suggests sending two New Babylonias in to represent them.

Lang drives back to the village with Artimis, they make small talk and eject when Lang crashes. She asks how he speaks to the gods, and where he collects spice from. Lang explains where it comes from, and how they harvest it. She thanks Lang for the ride and the information, and then goes to meet with Eliza.

Lang asks about how things are going and gathers a short list of who Eliza has denied from recruitment so far. They want to maintain their progress, Lang wants to continue CJ and Skipper's Marduk training. Lang looks over CJ's book club book, they joke about having the exact same hand writing. Eliza remembers to mention that Brian Knight and another officer asked about the Rest. Clark is on the run from the court house, Luciano calls to warn of the cops storming New Babylon.

Lang heads to bed
