• Nate drives the Omaggio to the Hospital and gets out with a bag over his shoulder.
• In the ICU waiting room, there’s Bones’s dark blue hoodie and some chips.
• Nate sits down and waits.

• He pauses that to sell Skellicat to Mike from yesterday.
• They meet at Strawberry Gas and he sells Skellicat for $1.8 million.
• Mike takes him back to the Hospital.
• He runs into Jaden and Finley outside the Hospital.
• Nate tells them she was stabbed and drugged.
• They hope she’ll be okay.

• He goes back into the waiting room.
• Jaden and Finley come in and offer to wait with him.
  • He tells them he’s alright for now
• They hope she’s okay.
• Nate says he’ll make sure of it.
• They kind of want to hang out with him so he isn’t alone.
• He tells them when Wendy’s feeling better they can all four hang out.
• Bones calls to check up on him and Wendy.

• He wants to know what happened.
• Nate tells him the sequence of events.

• Nate’s just sitting there waiting.

• He has her ping him. She’s across the island.

• He has Tweetie take him to get his car.
• Nate tells her he woke up on the wrong side of the bed as well. Forgot a few things.
• She asks if he took a new dame out on the town.

• Nate changes fits. He goes with a coat, no shirt. He’s testing Wendy to see how she reacts.

• He says it looks so stupid but he’s doing it for Wendy.

• Nate drives up to get Wendy.
• He pulls up and Wendy is dressed like a detective.
• Wendy calls him “Boss,” and tells him they have a case to solve. She asks what they are waiting for.
• He heads to the car.
• She follows him.
• When she approaches the car he tells her not to touch his door.

• When she gets in, he tells her she doesn’t touch his harness.
• Wendy starts telling him about this case where Tessa is a museum owner and Jagger, who had a painting stolen from her museum.

• Chatterbox calls.
• Nate tells him she’s awake.
• Chatterbox asks if she’s okay.
• Nate says no.
• Chatty asks if there’s anything he can do to help.
• He says no.
• Chatty is going to give them space for now. He’ll check back in later.
• Twinkles calls.
• He tells Twinkles she woke up in Paleto.
• They are going to meet up at the Hospital for food.
• Nate tells her a lot of people are concerned about her broken leg.
• Wendy asks if he’s cold without a shirt. Clip

• She says they are kind of in a hurry.

• He goes into the Hospital and tells Twinkles and Hazel who are inside, to play along.

• Nate escorts her in, Wendy blushes.

• Dr. Jackie takes her back into the ICU to check her out.
• Nate tells Dr. Jackie the story of his day with Wendy so far.
• Dr. Jackie checks her vitals.
• He asks Nate how he wants to play this.
• Nate tells him as long as she’s good to move around, he’s got it handled.
• They agree not to stress her with anything else right now.
• They are just going to work the case.
  -# Nate pauses before leaving to see if she’ll wait for him. She starts going and then turns around to look at him.
• Twinkles asks them if they’ll be okay on their own.
• Nate says they’ll be okay.

• Nate starts escorting Wendy to the car.
• She starts blushing and says leg isn’t broken anymore. Clip

• She wants to interview Tessa and Chatty.
• He calls Chatty who says he’ll be free in 20 mins.

• They discuss ‘the case’.
• He asks her what she knows about mimes, because they blew up Chatterbox’s house which could be motive for him to
• He tells her their next case will be about mimes when she tells him she doesn’t know
• Nate tells her he won a race for her.
• She says thanks.
• Nate tells her he made a rule. He hasn’t let anyone sit in that spot during a race yet. At least not from start to finish.
• She asks how come.
• He tells her she’s supposed to be the first one.
  • Wendy: “Schucks boss, I don’t know what to say.”
• He tells her he sold his other car.

• They park the Omaggio at Red Brick.
  -# Wendy voice over: “So there we were, me and boss, on another case. At the beginning of the day he didn’t remember my name, then he saved a spot for me. What’s a dame to think?”
• He has Wendy pull out the Wendy Wagon.
• It doesn’t take very long.
• He tells her she’s getting better at finding it.
• She says it takes a lot of practice.
• He finds a car outside Lil Freaks and repairs it.
• He finds keys then tells Wendy to hop in.
• She asks if she can touch these doors or not.
• He tells her it isn’t his car.
• She opens her door.
• Wendy gets a call from Osvaldo.

• She says they’ve worked a few cases together.

• Nate tells them they’ll see him at the race if that’s where he’s going.
• Bones texts a question mark.
• Ember is there racing Chatterbox’s car.
• Nate responds to Bones he doesn’t know yet. Tell him to play along.
• Wendy starts grinding her teeth and shifting in her seat. Clip 1 Clip 2

• She gets nervous, and bright red.
• He holds it there for a while and she says out loud she doesn’t know if he can read her thoughts or something.
• He tells her he can tell she’s nervous. She can do what she needs to do. She better hurry though, the race is about to start.

• The race starts.

• She asks what he’s doing.

• She offers to repair his car.
• He says yes.
• He tells her break time’s over.
• They get back to ‘work’.
• She pulls out her notebook with their to do list.
• He escorts her to Wendy Wagon and tells her to drive. The car is more her style.
• She says he already gave her keys to his house and car.
• He asks if she wants anything else.
• She gets flustered.

• Bones rolls up so he sidebars with him to tell him he’s playing along to see what she knows.
• Osvaldo calls.
• Nate gives him the details.
• He tells him he’s trying to deal with it on his own for the most part.
• Osvaldo offers to do some dumb investigation stuff if he needs.
• Nate will let him know if it’s needed.
• Wendy is sitting in the Wendy Wagon.
• Nate tells her to get out.
• Then he opens the door for her.
• She says he did great in the race.
• He says fourth place is pretty good.
• Wendy suggests he had some sort of good luck charm.
• Nate says he feels like he could’ve gotten top 3 but something was missing.
• She suggests that’s another mystery they could solve.
