12/29/2025 GTA Recap - "The Shadow Remembers"

Saab recaps Lang about the Thieves Guild mission being completed, then Luciano sold 1K ammo for 5 gold bars - Lang was unhappy about this. Brian Knight got a anonymous call about Saab having a bomb, considering that he was behind the other city bombings. Brian thinks the Faceless are the real threat as they've also bombed the Marshall quarters and the observatory. There was a job done by Ray Romanov and Yuno Sykk to hack into Life Invader, Lang isn't surprised. They turned off the Chronicle bot, which was the bot posting the articles on twatter. They think they saw someone tampering with the Nu Epsilon satellite, potentially planting a bomb there. Saab claims that a Marduk approved Andi's new electronics job, Lang disagrees and reverses this change.

Lang meets with CJ to get a better recap: Bjorn is the head of the militia now, Bazim wants to be Marduk now, Klevin wants to challenge Bjorn to be head of the militia, neither CJ or Skipper approved of Andi's new job, CJ chewed Klevin out for being dumb and now he doesn't want to be the militia leader anymore, and Tommy (Big Mac) has been missing. CJ stabbed the Big Dog noodles worker for calling them cannibals on twatter, but they think Eliza did it. Lang calls Saab and yells at him for being wrong, getting him to remember that no Marduk approved of the new job. Saab is sent to sit in the shame pit naked until told otherwise, and he must speak to Andi and resolve the issue himself. CJ shows Lang a note she found in her car, they both think it's about Yuno. CJ was cleaning the Rest and saw Charlie taunting her outside, she chased him down to Nu Epsilon but backed off because she was alone. Skipper calls, worried they are missing 42 gold bars, Lang has him take Saab and handle it.

CJ details the roof of Nu Epsilon interaction, including a picture of the device they found that looked like a bomb, but wasn't. Eliza believes they're running Skynode out of the Nu Epsilon building, Lang thinks it's a good theory. He gives her the tablet with a new video (code: FOUNDATION), which is just a feed of all of their camera locations. Lang sends her to figure out what it means, and then goes to see Skipper. On the way, the militia pulls over and tries to apprehend Lang, but he can't deal with that right now. Lang and Skipper chat about the missing gold, Saab thinks that's just normal, but Lang thinks they are missing a lot more. Skipper took over the locksmith business from Big Mac, he's calling it War Locks. They are interrupted by the militia who search them for missing items, but they're clean. Lang tells Skipper he's being lame and needs to spice it up.

Lang meets with Luciano to get the recap from the Besties meeting: they're burnt from the Faceless, Luciano sold them some ammo, Benji might have the magazine blueprint, Tony Corleone shot Luciano on friday so there's a bounty on him. Lang asks for Luciano's Year 2 in Babylon plan, but he's not ready for that yet. Lang meets with Eliza to discuss her theory about Skynode and how she feels a little bitter about the people now in control of the Nu Epsilon building.

They find someone boating around with a red mask, Lang shoots him down. Lang and Luciano search the body, trying to figure out who he his and what he's doing. Lang takes everything he has, and hops on the radio to listen. Queenie tries to resuscitate him while Lang looks through the notebook in private. He finds a password and detailed notes about tasks with dates - he attempts to log in to get more information but can't figure out the handwriting.

After the short town hall, Lang gathers CJ and Eliza in the Library and cracks the code for the tablet. Lang begins a communication channel disguised as Falcon (the operative they killed). They are able to get extraction coordinates and confirm the tasks Falcon was appointed. Lang finds a contract section and they notice that Arush was "confirmed" - they think he might have been killed

Lang leaves the tablet and the information for CJ to sift through, and finds Saab and Luciano to go meet the Besties. The Besties tell them about how things went, they bring up that Benji might have the magazine blueprint as well. New Babylon might have the market cornered on some equipment, 4Head wants to catch Charlie or Frank Skinner (the Chronicle) as their next steps. Lang still wants to bomb the Liquid Library, 4head thinks they don't need to, but Lang is persistent.

Lang, Luciano, and Saab chat about everything happening on their way back to New Babylon. They seem suspicious of the Faceless not retaliating at the Besties for being burnt. Lang is surprised that Benji's properties were in his name, but they realize that Hades was disbanding again (for the second time after the split) and Benji probably didn't trust anyone. They come across Brian at the court house, Lang asks about why Benji got raided, but Brian informs them that every gang leader that was a Faceless asset is being raided.

Eliza calls to meet with Lang, CJ, and the Chronicle. On the way, Lang informs them of the Besties' plans, and that they have the only magazine blueprint left in the city. They meet on the beach and discuss everything already detailed above, they consider catching or meeting Diego to finally figure things out. They are spooked by some noise nearby and leave.

Lang calls Bjorn to see if they can get Yeager to meet, but he's really not around these days. Lang decides to speak with CJ first instead. Lang and CJ discuss everything going on, as well as the potential plans of where to keep the artifacts - CJ thinks the Rest is falling apart. They will try to retain focus on their priorities.

Lang heads to bed
