1/9/2026 GTA Recap - "Chickens With No Heads"
Saab tells Lang about how the Besties captured Charlie and demasked him live on Siren Radio, then the Faceless retaliated by saving Charlie and capturing Ming. Lang and Saab meet with Arush to discuss what has been happening on trade day, Arush argues about taxes and splits, Lang demands 10% for New Babylon or himself. After a lengthy argument, they get Arush to agree. Lang and Saab drive into the city to check things out, he gets a mission instruction for later from the tablet, and Sofia calls to have her meeting.
Sofia glazes New Babylon, the leadership, and informs them about her new schedule. Lang agrees with most of her sentiments, and accepts that she is around during times that he is not. 4Head calls to meet, Lang calls CJ to get her and Eliza to scout out the docks where his mission will be held later. Lang approves of Sofia's interview and tells her to lock in.
Lang and Saab meet the Besties and catch up about what happened with the Faceless, they share that they could have gotten TONS of gold bars. Lang prepares for his mission and gets changed at the Cave. Lang aka Falcon must get a document and execute Sam Smith, a jetsam dock worker. Lang scouts the docks, getting instructions live from Charlie. He completes the mission and flees via boat, meeting with Eliza and CJ by the lighthouse.
CJ informs Lang that Arush is stirring up way too much drama, but she ignored it all while waiting for this mission. Lang goes through the document and returns to New Babylon. Lang calls Saab to get caught up on the Arush situation: he's mad that they don't sell weapons anymore, so he began his own trade day outside the gates, Saab sent the militia after him and someone got shot. Lang calls Arush and argues about what's changed, they agree to a new location for trade day where Arush is allowed to display his black market product. Arush has to head out, Lang helps bring his stuff back to New Babylon.
Lang and Luciano argue about poor communication, Luciano declares martial law, they spot the cops outside the walls so Lang fires a warning shot. Karla is locked in the shame pit, Venom breaks in and chases people down, so they try to shoot it down. Zeek shows Lang his heist plan book, Lang is impressed. Lang falls off the tower and continues to harass the people of NB. Carmella visits NB demanding the rescue of her aunt, Karla. They're holding Karla hostage until she gives back ownership of one of the buggies.
CJ found a key left by the Rooster's Rest, Lang thinks someone just left it to troll. CJ asks about Lang's opinion on the leadership, and to get his input on how they can improve it. Lang finds that if they're too harsh and professional, things get boring. They're allowed to not be boring, that's the balance and often he's causing trouble to keep things interesting. Eliza joins them and they chat about what they've learned about the Faceless over the last day.
Lang calls Bjorn to take revenge on the Clowns for fighting with NB, and spies on everyone from the militia tower. Lang stirs with Carmella who is still at the gate, begging for Karla's release. They keep calling Lang old, so he wants to kill and eat her for dinner. Larry Knox, who is now a BCSO Sheriff, visits and tries to help fight for Karla's freedom.
