1/26/2026 Kick Recap - "Make Me Proud For Once"
Lang and Saab argue about their differing visions of New Babylon. Lang finds no food at Ratatouille so he forces Jeff and Harry to make more food nonstop. Bjorn tries to call for the militia to search the Merchant's Guild for gold bars. Andi informs Lang that Akari (previously Nu Epsilon) left and sold her BBL for cash, she's returned to Nu Epsilon. Dio is also around, and working with one of the city MCs, Lang finds it suspicious since Dio used to be close to Edgar. Lang wants more information on Lost MC, keeping Andi on the case. Andi shows Lang a poster she made, he likes it so much he makes it his phone background. Lang runs into Arush returning to NB, they chat about Lang's Lost MC theory, how close Arush is to Dio's group, and if working with them is better than conflicting with them. Lang wants a split of whatever Saab gets for building the new Militia HQ.
Lang, Eliza, and CJ chat about Akari. CJ wants Lang to read through the articles that Frank has been putting out, which suspects Lang as a puppeteer. Eliza thinks that Frank and a few others are connected with the Faceless, as they've been coming and going from the Echelon. Eliza spills about what she's learned about their relationship, unsure how implicated her friends at Nu Epsilon are. Lang reminds them of his suspicions with Edgar, and that the gold plan originated from him. Lang checks the tablet and learns of a Faceless meeting during the town hall. Saab informs Lang that the payment for the construction was made, he's to give the Marduk split to Skipper. Lang steals a car and heads to the Faceless meeting as Falcon.
Falcon and Whisky are to abduct the VIP, but it will have to be quiet and after following a convoy. The assets will work together with other red masks. He gets a book with more mission details. After the meeting, Charlie complains about having to work with amateurs. Lang drives back to NB, hoping nobody spotted or trailed him. Brian calls when Lang returns, but refuses to pick up. Buddha mentions that he won't be participating in Survival this time around
Lang meets with CJ and Eliza, showing them the book. He thinks that the Faceless is suspicious of him since they keep asking Falcon for his opinion or thoughts, and Brian must want information based on the timing of the call. Lang reminds them that Brian knows that he is impersonating Falcon. Lang thinks they shouldn't implicate anyone else in NB while he's undercover. Lang asks for private time with his two Marduks, and calls Skipper to join them as Eliza leaves.
Skipper claims that he isn't as informed in Marduk related things unless Lang tells someone to tell him, CJ argues that she's in NB way more than him and that he's inactive based on his own intention. Lang thinks most of it is his fault for being not as diligent. They argue about how communication needs to be improved for the Marduks, CJ finds it difficult to gather information before everyone else. Lang thinks there's a wedge between them, CJ claims that he's causing it. Skipper and CJ are not on the same page, Lang wants to improve that. Lang gives them a motivating speech about making him proud, and they agree to finalize the council. Eliza calls to ask about Dewey's application to NB, Lang is disgruntled about having failures around, but accepts him. Eliza wants to chat about more things, they end their meeting getting interrupted by a helicopter crash landing in the lake. Lang reminds them to give the pirates fake gold for the vault to keep their real gold hidden.
Lang drives into town to meet and speak with Frank. Frank admits that he was frustrated and spoke to Eliza about his theories, Lang threatens Frank about the headlines and putting focus on NB. Lang returns to NB and joins the radio to warn and caution the people about gold hoarding. Lang handles some last minute comms to the differing council members before heading to bed.
