June 9th 2025 Recap GTA UPDATES & COUNCIL:
• Benji wakes up to hear a list of bad news from Reggie. Reggie calls Benji to let them know that 3 Pas (Edgar) is upset, and Hades is likely to have a spat with 3 Pas over hostage situations. After meeting up, Reggie gives a rundown of the events that have happened thus far. Hades took Edgar's wife hostage for a job. As a retaliation, 3Pas took Marina as a hostage. While 3Pas were talking to Marina, the police came and saw Marina crying and took her from 3Pas. Because the cops were involved, 3Pas felt Hades snitched to the cops and started to tweet about it. Reggie also informs Benji that he had a phone call with Edgar and said that if he had a problem with his wife being taken, he should have called and spoken about it instead of retaliating. Edgar was waiting for Hades to call him. Benji contemplates out loud if this is something so serious to fight over, and mentions that it is Edgar’s wife. Reggie compares the situation to the past when Benji was part of the Vagos and would say Ash; his significant other at the time, would have to fend for herself. Benji disagrees and says that Vagos would roll out for Ash as well. Reggie reiterates that Edgar’s wife is not part of the 3Pas, so it is fair game. Reggie feels the situation can be discussed over bullets (Hades vs. 3Pas), while Benji at this point feels like it can be handled with words. Later, at the Abyss rooftop, Benji gets more clarification of events.

Other updates:
• A bank truck was done at the Abyss and Rich has no memory of what happened, but TicTac was there as well. Benji blames Louis since he has been gone, and there is no Council to take care of the AU time zone while Louis is away.
• Winter did a bank run the other day and gave cuts even though cuts are not allowed right now since the gang funds are down to 60 K, (there is a lot of money runs to do). Benji informs Council and HR that he received the money back from 5 of the 6 people from the Winter bank job. Benji adds that they are low on oxy, med kits, tourniquets, and ammo.

HOSTAGE EVENT THAT LED TO WAR Detailed Play by Play up till shooting starts

• Dragon gives more detailed information regarding Mentos taking Edgar’s wife hostage. Edgar was mad and took Marina hostage and took her to Stab City to find out who gave the ok to take his wife. Marina lets Edgar know that it was Mentos that gave the ok. Edgar calls Mentos and tells him to come to Stab City to discuss the situation. Hades went up to Stab City to see what was going on, and cops showed up, so Hades left and tried for an hour to get someone from 3Pas as a get-back.
• Benji asks how the Council feels. Reggie expresses that he doesn’t care about Edgar's wife she isn’t a gang member. Louis is down to do whatever, and so is Jayden. Dragon also mentions that Edgar was upset that he took Marina hostage since that is Dragon’s person, and he likes Dragon. The Council also clarified at Louis’ inquiry that Marina wasn’t robbed or harmed. Benji recognizes that only Reggie seems to have the energy for a shootout while everyone else seems relaxed.

• Marina is asked to come to the rooftop and give her side of the story, (aligns with Dragon and Reggie’s recap). Benji asks if Marina is traumatized, and she affirms that she is. She is not sure how to feel and doesn’t give an answer yes or no if she would like to retaliate. Benji suggests Marina and Edgar’s wife do a 1 v 1 to settle the beef.
• Benji then calls Edgar to get more context. Edgar starts the conversation with saying he thought Benji was sincere and fuck Reggie. Edgar states that either Benji is insincere, or Hades does not follow his orders. Edgar gives his side of the story, saying Hades didn’t even show up and didn’t back one of their own when they took Marina. Benji gives his side that they felt it was an ambush, so that is why they backed off. Edgar asks where the loyalty and honor are. Benji says his honor is gone and has detached from that mindset for a while. Edgar says he wants Mentos still, and Benji says he wants an apology for Marina, as she is traumatized. Edgar said he is not giving an apology. Benji asks why Edgar couldn’t just wait to talk to him instead of taking Marina first. Edgar says there should have been talking before they took his wife, and Hades is running Benji’s name through the ground. Benji tells Edgar that he is going to talk to his people to discuss the situation and will call him back.

Benji gives Council the rundown and asks why Reggie let it happen when he knows Edgar is his friend. Reggie said he doesn’t care if it is his friend, and it was either his wife or a government worker. Benji brings up Billy and how Reggie cares about Billy and doesn’t want anyone to hurt Billy, but when it is Benji’s friend, no one cares. Reggie brings up that Benji shoots Billy, and Benji said he doesn’t take him hostage and he only shoots him when he comes to Hades block because he is not welcome there. Reggie states that it has never been said that Billy is not welcomed at the block, to which Benji states it should be apparent from him shooting him when he shows up. To make it clear, Benji reiterates that Billy is not welcome around Hades (in all of this, Reggie mentions that it was Michael who made Billy the janitor, and therefore Benji should talk about it with Michael. Benji reminds Reggie that he is a higher rank than Michael and should have put a stop to it.

• After Marina comes back to the rooftop to give more details that she knew it was Edgar’s wife, and said they shouldn’t take her, Mentos is called to the rooftop to give his side of the story. Mentos says that he had three options for a hostage: a DOC member, a Clown, and Edgar’s wife. He didn’t take the DOC member for obvious reasons, as he didn’t want to get breached during a job, he didn’t want to take a clown because he is friends with them (Moose Knuckles, a clown, is Mentos' dad). Mentos says that he didn’t think about the hostage being Benji’s friend’s wife.
• The meeting continues with Benji again asking why Reggie didn’t put a stop to it if he knew about the situation. Reggie says he wasn’t in the six, so he stayed out of it. Getting heated, Benji tells Reggie that he is free to leave if he wants, and he is not making a joke. Reggie stays silent and stays at the meeting. Benji also expresses his concern that people are assuming what decisions he would make and not thinking of Benji as the leader, ultimately, which is making the gang look bad and causing these types of situations. He agrees that a Hades member shouldn’t have been taken as retaliation, but there is an element of truth to Edgar’s stirring that Benji, as the leader in Hades, is not taken into account when they make decisions (his relationships he has with other gangs and individuals in the city). Benji reiterates that he will not take a friend of Louis, Jayden, Dragon or Reggie hostage so he expects the same courtesy in return. After the discussion on what the next steps should be, Benji decides to call Edgar on his way to Fudge by himself to talk to Edgar in person in hopes of squashing the beef, but Hades will not hand Mentos over.

REGGIE’s POV:- Reggie feels Edgar’s wife is fair game as she is not part of a gang. He doesn’t feel it is an issue that she was taken, regardless of whether Edgar is Benji’s friend, because he doesn’t care about Edgar. Reggie also feels they have the right to get their get back as Edgar didn’t wait to talk and took Marina.
**EDGAR’s POV: **Edgar is upset that this is the second time someone from 3Pas or associated with 3Pas has been taken hostage. Edgar also feels Hades has no honor as they didn’t back Marina when 3Pas took her hostage, and Mentos didn’t show up to a meeting at Stab City. He also mentions that Hades has no respect for Benji and are putting his name in the ground for not respecting his orders or relationships. As a principle, he feels he had to get a get back in blood.
BENJI’s POV: Benji is upset that Edgar didn’t wait to talk to him first before taking Marina hostage and finding out what happened, and didn’t trust Benji and Edgar’s relationship enough to know that Benji would not sanction Hades taking EJ hostage. Benji is also upset that his friendships are not valued by the gang as the leader of Hades, but also understands that not everyone in Hades knew that Benji was close with Edgar. Benji also agrees that Hades should roll out since Marina was taken and will not hand over Mentos to 3Pas as that is an unreasonable request.

FAKE FRIENDS ALWAYS LEAD TO WAR:
• On his way to talk to Edgar, being is shot down by 3Pas, who claimed SOB. Benji is confused as he was shot down from a distance and thinks that at first, he stumbled into another gang shooting and was caught in the crossfire. After talking to 3Pas while down, Benji learns that he and Hades were targets for the shooting. Benji is taken to the hospital, where Edgar tells his gang not to rob Benji. Benji slowly walks back to the Abyss, contemplating how he has been betrayed by yet another friend after making a genuine effort to be on good terms with Edgar. While walking back to his car, Marina and Yusef see Benji and let him know a six are out shooting. Officer Johnson asks Benji if he was involved in a shooting situation that just happened. Benji lets him know that yes, he was, he was shot by a friend, but doesn’t remember much as he was shot from afar.
• Back at the Abyss, Benji talks to Edgar on the phone in front of Hades. He tells Edgar that he told his boys they were wrong for taking his wife hostage, but he feels that everyone else is trying to be Benji from the old days and has an ego. He feels Edgar is looking for any reason to make himself feel better. Edgar says it is not that. Benji reiterates that not everyone in Hades knows how close they are, and he still thinks it is Edgar’s ego. Edgar moves the conversation to how the police showed up when Marina was taken, implying that Hades snitched. Benji says that after the whole OP thing and how Benji made an effort to make it right that he thinks he would purposely do something to hurt Edgar.

Instead of Edgar talking to Benji, he assumed Benji didn’t care and wouldn’t handle it. Benji also tells Edgar again that they knew EJ was Edgar’s wife, but they didn’t know how close Benji and Edgar are, so they didn’t think much about taking EJ. Benji also tells Edgar that 3Pas shot Benji from afar and repped another dead gang SOB, and then proceeded to shoot random people at Senior Buns. Benji asks Edgar if that is the type of gang he is building, so be it. If he wants the smoke and thinks that he is still going to get Mentos, Edgar will see what is going to happen. Edgar says he wants Mentos to end things as a matter of principle, and Benji tells him that isn’t going to happen, as he is part of Hades. Benji tells Edgar that the synonym of principle is ego, and he can’t seem to operate in the city without people’s egos getting involved. Edgar says that Benji taught him that. Benji tells Edgar that he has no compromise with that demand. Edgar says he proved his point already, as Benji spilled his blood, and that is ten times worth more than Mentos. Edgar asks that Hades don’t fuck with their people, and he won’t fuck with them. Edgar asks what is going to happen next, and it is up to Benji. Benji responds with, “That is right,” and hangs up on Edgar. Benji gives an order for six to get together for war. Orders for people not in the six to get oxy and more supplies are given. Dragon calls everyone not in the war convoy to the roof for coordination of resources. Hades convoys for over an hour without finding any 3PAS
